New boss gimmick
I was sitting around bored and thought of this:
what if zelda for the wii was partially 1st person? (this might not be possible, im not sure how much the wii can sense the nunchuck) Okay, the game would play like a normal zelda, in third person. then at a boss, it switches to first person. So you only see your sword and shield at the side of the screen, and the boss. Instead of TP, where slashing the wiimote in any direction slashed the sword, if you moved the sword a tiny bit up, the sword would go up about the same amount. Same for the shield, too. so this way it is much more active. You would have to move your shield high, low, side to side to block swords, then move your shield and stab your opponent. Also, if you pulled out a bow and arrow, the wiimote will serve as the arrow, and the nunchuck as your bow. you keep the 'chuck in front of you in an up and down manner, then you wiimote to the right of it, sideways. you pull the wiimote back, then thrust it forward to launch your arrow. grappling hook/clawshot: you hold the wiimote and nunchuck together to the bottom right, and you thrust the wiimote forward. Also, having this implemented, would go great for multiplayer. you could battle your friends this way. Either different colored links, or 2 player plays as Ganondorf(or shadow link) what'cha think? |

I think it would be better if the game kept consistent. Either all first person, or all third person.
I am actually looking forwards to a first person Zelda (that isnt LCT). The sword would work well with just slashing. You wouldn't be able to stab with your scheme.

There are times in boss fights when you want to see as much as possible. 1st person would limit the sight so it might not be such a good idea.
