My Legend (See 1st Post)

Welcome, this thread contains my story of a new legend of zelda game that I made up. Even though I have a rough idea of the story, I will definetly need all of you zelda fans to help me out. This will be a very lengthy project. Feel free to contribute about story, weapons, characters, maps and pictures. If you want to know everything about the game so far, check this 1st post but remember, during the first few days of this thread, practically nothing is going to be here because I will need others opinions about things before I can finalize them. Also take note that paragraphs with light yellow font in them are explaining the story. If you have any questions, just PM me or ask in the thread as long as it pretains to the topic. thank you

My timeline:
-first is ocarina of time when link defeats ganon, Link then de-ages seven years to when he was a child
-he then plays through the game majora's mask
-Link has a child. Then when that child grows up, has another child also named Link
-This new link is born and raised in Ordon village, which takes place in twilight princess

Storyline:
After Majora's Mask had been defeated, the Happy Mask salesman got the mask back into his hands. As a young boy named Link saved everyone from the horrible darkness of the mask's power, many people thought that he could not win. Although he became victorious. After the mask had been vanguished, many nights could Link not sleep because of that mask. It haunted Link's dreams. He had never told anyone of this and felt like he should only tell one person. As the years passed by, Link had grown into adulthood. Not too soon, he became a legendary hero.

About a century later, the descendant of the legendary hero was born. His name was also Link. As the descendant Link was a child, the elder Link was still alive. He was very old and was coming to his death. On the last day of the legendary hero's life, his descendant learned about the mask that had haunted him throughout his life. As the elder Link had passed away, Link had grown and was living in the quiet village of Ordon. About one year later he had been caught up in a quest that would diminish the thought of the mask. Although, it was just the beginning. The Skull Kid, who was the once controlled by the mask, turned to its normal self and was not evil. He even had a moment to play a game with Link during his quest. As Link figured out who was the evil one during his quest (Ganondorf), he also noticed another creature. His name was Zant. He was crazy and out of controll. Known as the twilight ruler of Hyrule, he caused chaos. But at one point, Link killed him, which would put an end to his wicked self. Then, as Link also put a sword through the mighty ganondorf, it was Zant who actually killed Ganondorf for some odd reason. Although Link did not know of this. As Link and his friend thoughout the quest (Midna) defeated Ganondorf, Midna dissapeared into the twilight realm to cease at rest.

As Link got back to his hometown (Ordon), he reunited with his friends and the villagers. It was a very long day and Link eventually went to sleep in his treehouse. It was then and there that Link would embark on the greatest and most terrifying quest of them all. All of the suddend, while the night grew humid and relaxing. As some villagers were having a campfire on the open midnight sky did someone start panting into the village. Only one or two villagers heard some noise but ignored it. Everyone around the fire were having fun and laughing. Then a loud scream suddenly devoured all attention. During this time, Link was deep within a dream. In his dream, he saw the legendary hero's suffering. Something was making him suffer so much and Link knew what it was. Just then, Link's eyes opened and he quickly grabbed his sword. He looked out onto the village to see a man bleeding heavily. Epona had run off into the woods due to it being frightened. Everything was quiet at this point. People were gasping in shock as the man approached the campfire. Link dashed out of his house and ran into the village just seconds away from his home. The man then collapsed onto the ground and moaned. Link then made eye contact with the man and gasped. Link knew who this was. Everyone seemed more relaxed with Link there. Silence. Then the man uttered with his last breath these words "It is not over. It is back. It knows where you've been and will kill you".

Suddenly, the man died. Many villagers were still wondering who this was but were assured that Link would take nessacary percaution. Link then noticed a mask he was holding. With the fact that he was bleeding to death, it was hard for link to notice anything else. It was so shiny to Link. Just then, he heard Epona coming back to his treehouse. Even though Link couldn't fully see his house, he knew that Epona was heading there. Link then turned around and told the townspeople that he was going to return in a minute. Then Link dropped to the ground and yelled. He bursted out a tear and the townspeople got unstable. They did not know what was going on but remained still. Something very terrible has happened.

now this is only about 1/50th of the story, but do you guys like it so far? I also really need your critisism and your help and advice on where this story can go. You can also help me out on my sentances if you feel it is nessacary. Also, can anyone uncover who the man is? Well anyway, hope this story can be amazing

its... interesting. i guess i like it, but i'll need more to know for sure.

I like it but (correct me if I'm wrong) aren't MM Link and TP Link two different Links (which I totally hate but w/e)?

I'm also confused about the Zant killing Ganondorf thing...

well to make it a bit simpler...

-"this new game" begins directly after twilight princess
-100 years after ocarina of time, "wind waker" takes place
-right after wind waker comes "phantom hourglass" (well duh!)

Although there is no official timeline to the zelda series. I have created my own and it seems most reasonable to myself. I will add this little thing to the 1st post incase some get confused.


About Zant and Ganon:
It was a quite confusing concept that i suppose the producers of the game don't want you to figure out but in the actual game of twilight princess, after you stab the master sword into ganon's head, it shows a cutscene in which Zant supposedly cringes, causing Ganon to fall to his knees and die. They made this, knowing that Zant is SUPPOSED to be dead because link killed him earlier in the game. I decided to add this myster to the game that I am creating and unwrap why Zant had done that.

Now I get it! Wow! I really like it! I really wanted TP Link to be a continuation of OoT and MM. It just didn't seem possible because he didn't "seem" to know Zelda.

yes actually the two links are different.
but anyway very interesting story. though you can still have the two links be different like they are and just you know give like some sort of energy thing that all the links possess kinda like the TOC or something and if the thing that is back (MM is my guess) could sense that and figured it was the same guy. but anyway still pretty good.

Can you just tell me why the link in mm and tp are different? I just want to know for future reference.

why? well TP takes about 100 years or so after OOT/MM. if i am correct if im not someone please correct me. and since link cant live that long it would have to be a different one.

sorry, but i've never heard that. Anyway, I'm going to brainstorm on the next part. It'll be about a day before I update the next part. Please feel free to add onto the story, I can then pick the best idea and add it. As for me, I'm off to school tommorow.

well since TP and WW are parallel to each other and WW takes place 100 years after OOT that would also mean that TP takes place 100 years

I know, but many things in Zelda stories are unconfirmed. I like to want to only have one or two links. I don't really like the theories that include about 5 links. my timeline is quite easy to understand and includes how each game transfers into the other.

I also know that I want to generally lead link into an unexplored land in the story.

well that makes sense. and your right about many things being unconfirmed. and i agree with you about having so many different links it just really confuses things

apart from the fact that the split timeline has been confirmed

but we know that WW is after Link beats Ganon in OoT as an adult, and that TP is after OoT where Link is sent back in time by Zelda, splitting the timeline in two, both games are confirmed to be parallel to each other and they take place about 100 years after OoT.

TP can't be 7 years after MM, because the map is different, there are legends of an ancient hero who wore the clothes link wears for the main part of his quest in TP. Zelda and Link don't know each other.
