A Link to the Past Wii-make

Hear me out for the moment. Everyone knows (or complains) that the plotline for Oot was inspired from the NES Zelda: Altp. So this morning I happened to think about this game from my childhood that I would play with my grandma (she was pro). Imagine how great it would look for that game to be remade for the Wii; how massive and awesome it would be to scale that game: Hyrule Castle, the Dark World, the Lost Woods, etc. This was a very important Zelda in the series thus remaking the game with perhaps some new additions and a revolutionized graphics engine could attract new fans to the older charm of zelda and long-time zelda players to thier classic zelda game. Yeah I'm pretty sure this will never happen but I got excited just thinking of the possibilities. It would certainly take Nintendo a while to make if they took on a project like this. So what do you guys think???

Nintendo should be focusing their time and resources on a new game instead of another remake.

I would buy it and play it and enjoy it.



When it comes to games, I have a lot of patience for their releases -- thus, if they made a remake (2D --> 3D), I wouldn't be all that upset that it would delay other games coming out.

I bet they'd do it... we just have to wait long enough. Let's give it 20 years and see what happens.

Didn't i say I doubted it would happen? Was is written anywhere in my post that this was gonna happen? No, I was just thinking about the possibilities wasn't I? And sure I agree with you, but before you shoot down somebody's idea how about you actually think about the post, not about the word "remake"

Don't sell yourself short, I recall an article in which one of the development team expressed interest in remaking ALttP...

Remakes are fine as long is it's not just a re release of the old game. Seeing a 3d aLttP would be pretty cool.

Jeez theres hardly been that many zelda remakes so stfu.

Anyway Aonuma said before he was interested in a LTTP remake. And its my most favorite game, so if they pull it off right I will be epicly happy.

i know i think it would be pretty kool to have ALTTP 3D remake. it was already an epic game of its time just think how much more epic it would have been if it was in 3D

Creative? I have seen over a hundred remake threads during my time on ZU, and this one is no different.

And seriously, would you rather have a remake, or an entirely new game?

I am SICK of people who have been at ZU for a long time bashing other members' ideas. You think you can say whatever you want because you've seen so many posts and blahblahblah I'm sure when you started here you posted things that have been brought up before. Who cares? You CHOOSE to open the thread. I get on ZU when I have the chance between work and school so sorry I haven't had the luxury of being on top of what everyone else is posting. I, along with other members have the right to post ideas in this forum without being flamed by friggen "oh i have over 1000 posts" know-it-alls. It wouldn't be a forum if old stuff wasnt talked about (4chan for example). Get over it and dont bash other people's threads. If it was your thread, even after what you just did here, if it was your thread I would be RESPECTFUL and NICE regarding what you had to say.

Twilight Wolf, just chill ok, the whole ALTTP remake isnt going to happen. So if its not even going to happen, you don't have to flip ***** saying "NO REMAKES OMG!" because we know its not going to happen.

All we were saying is that it would be cool to see a ALTTP remake because teh game was awesome.

And Yes I would rather want a New Zelda instead, but you don't gotta shut down people's IDEAS.

I don't think a Zelda game will ever be remade. LTTP is great just the way it is. I would rather see a new Zelda game. Nintendo rarely does remakes. I can only think of two remakes. Pokemon 1: Red/Blue/Yellow (remake Pokemon Fire/Leaf) and Fire Emblem 1 (not out yet, being remade on DS).
