You really dont?
Its been a decade since the adult ending of
OoT. Everything is in state of peace, trade is flourishing amongst the races and other nations. Then a mysterious force begins to throw things into chaos. Week after week news of small villages are being destroyed. At first its only Hyrule, when Zelda attempts to seek help from the neighboring nations, they reject the idea. They claim its her fault for not being able to run a country and that it is now in a state of civil war.
Zelda tries to combat this mysterious force.
while on one mission, a group of soldiers goes missing. Soon after the people of Hyrule start to fall to pieces, some seek refuge in neighboring nations.
In an attempt to take control over Hyrule she dons on her Shiek disguise. Slowly she works her way to recovering the lost soldier.
Eventually the neighboring nation seek out the help of Shiek, apparently they to are suffering from this mysterious force.
She can't rely on Link... so she must do it herself.
Not only would this story break away from the usual, it would allow the possibility of traveling to other nations neighboring Hyrule.
