Future Environments

If the next Zelda game had one general environment, what should it be. The great sea in WW would be a general environment. Would it be a good idea for the general environment to be a desert? Maybe it should be an ocean again. Or maybe a mountain range.

Like the great sea in WW, these general environments would still have variety.

I would actually like to see a sea again, but a Mountain Range would be really cool. I've always liked mountains.

We've had too many Forests in Zelda and if we're to do the Sea again, there needs to be more to do in it.

I'd like the ideas of Mountains though, but they have to do a better job than what we got in TP. Death mountain looked like a card board cutout and Goron City was one room.

DEEP SEA. A chronological sequel to Wind Waker, except mostly everything takes place way below the water. I'm not really a fan of water, but I think they would be able to do some cool enemies and dungeons that way.

Well I'd like to see all of those environments in different regions like it is in most games but for the most part I like the forest.

I'd actually think seeing LoZ take place in a more futuristic enviroment would be fun. Kinda like how it was in Final Fantasy XII.

Out of the choices I'd pick mountains, because I like them. But I like how they have different environments in different places. It would be cool if they could add more realism to the game and make it so it changes into the different environments gradually.

it would be cool to see the forest again, because:
the ocean is too tedious, as demonstrated in ww and ph
the mountains would be okay, if you wanna see gorons in their almost nakedness
and the desert isn't as cool as the forest in my book of science killing stuff

I like mountains, (and the sea too, but we should give mountains a chance) so I would really like a mountain environment. It would definitely be more interesting to climb a few mountains than walk on say, a field, desert, or in a forest.

A forest so thick and menacingly dense that Link needs his sword to cut down shrubbery. A mountain so treacherous that Link needs a special outfit to survive the cold weather and traverse the mountain. A city so large and cosmopolitan that it brims with life. That's what I want, and more.

I think mountains would be really cool. >.< And there wouldn't necessarily have to be Gorons. Snowpeak is a mountain--that's the kind of mountains I would want. Snow and ice. But also rocks.
How does this sound? Link had to travel outside of Hyrule. He goes to this green valley, where all is peaceful. A few towns are in the valley, and in the north of it, a castle. But then some sort of evil comes. Link somehow knows it is coming and convinces some of the valley folk to flee. He goes with them, but before they know it they're lost, and winter is coming. So Link has to traverse ice, stone/cliff, and cave landscapes to get back to the valley and stop the evil.
Bad summary, I know, but I was trying to do it quickly and it was rather stream-of-consciousness.

Mountains have been the coolest sounding idea posted i think. The different areas sound good too. Ice and Snow, Rocky areas, there could even be caves. Also volcano parts like death mountain included. It sounds very cool i think.

I think if there was a desert that wouldnt be too bad. Since the game has always featured Middle Ages Europe kind of style, i think doing a desert style game in the style of Medieval Arab Empire. Or maybe ancient Persian kind of feel.

Not many people chose desert and that's understandable. In TP, I hated going through the desert without Epona.

There aren't many takers for ocean either. Will there ever be a sequel to PH? Maybe if Link lands on one large island like in LA.

A lot of people chose forest. That's thinking green.

Assassin's Creed style? Nah don't think so. I chose the desert style but keep the Gerudo's in it. They weren't even in TP!

I'd like to see a jungle enviorment, full of dangerous plants and animals as well hostile locals. Put in some ruins and you got an adventure.
