Re: Idea for the next Zelda game i just made up, your thoughts?
Ok that's two for the D&MD and zero for the GD. Now we need Adam's and B-E-T-A's opinions.
Also, I'm going to reboot the thread soon, probably in the next 5-6 days.

I'm doing that to ease the confusion (aka summarizing everything in an organized way). And it's fine, you can take a break until the new thread is posted, because then you will have full knowledge of every feature of the story so that you can start giving ideas again. (plus i'm probably guessing no new people are coming in to help because of how confusing it is)

Re: Idea for the next Zelda game i just made up, your thoughts?
oh ok. well that would make it a lot easier. it gets really hard to keep track of everything when you leave for work and you come back later and there is a bunch of new stuff added. yeah i work a lot so yeah. and if i were new i wouldn't come in since how confusing it is. lol

Also the summary would be a LONG read, as it is already like 9 pages long (in microsoft word), which is 1/3 plot related, and I'm still on the part when the golden hand busts link out of prison.

Re: Idea for the next Zelda game i just made up, your thoughts?
well you dont really need to have the whole thing posted just like some of the major plot points. not like "link woke up and he got out of bed." you know something actually important to it. but anyway let me know when the new thread is up

Re: Idea for the next Zelda game i just made up, your thoughts?
will do (and alot of the summary so far is important to the plot, so everything in there will be necessary)

Re: Idea for the next Zelda game i just made up, your thoughts?
This is what I have of the reboot thread's first post so far, tell me what you'd like to be changed
This is a continuation of a thread that I made, which has become difficult to understand due to the spread out explanations I have given, so here is everything that I have so far, and some new implementations. Discussion of the game and story shall continue as it did in the old thread, giving criticism of the idea and adding onto it. This is a fan based game idea that I have, which has been added onto by fellow ZU members, who will be listed at the end of this post for credit. Note: Here’s a few important abbreviations; BOoT = Before Ocarina of Time, AOoT = After Ocarina of Time. The Legend of Zelda: Archaic Entity (Not the final title) New Races: Golems (Created by B-E-T-A): They look like normal humans, but their body is built up by over 50% minerals like iron, rock, gold and things like that. They also have the ability to transform themselves to the mineral that they consist mostly of, something one can see on their hands and their feet that is made completely of that mineral (some golems consist mostly of two minerals). The golems also have a special gift to control the minerals and create them out of thin air. Daemons (Created by me, Description of Arcodes’s Daemon form inspired by an idea by Triforce_Master): Not finished Story (still in high development): Important note: This is written as a summary, so the language will be bland but only because this section is supposed to describe the full plot as briefly as possible. -10,000 BOoT: In an alternate realm to Hyrule, thousands of years before Ocarina of Time took place, the continent of Vivala had become an empire. The Emperor had created a vast unified continental force, and his empire began to grow and prosper. From the spirit world, one of the three goddesses of Vivala, Xeves, watched the Emperor and she fell madly in love with him, but he had never met her nor did he know of her. To her disappointment she could not go down to the mortal world while an immortal, and against the will of her fellow goddesses, she became mortal so that she could come down to Vivala. She then greeted the emperor, but never told him that she was a goddess. After meeting her, the emperor was overcome by her grace and beauty. As a result they wed, and Xeves became pregnant. By the time she went into labor, she was already very ill and was having trouble breathing prior to her water breaking. Even though she was a goddess, she was now a mortal, and she died in child birth from a heart failure. The children, however, were saved, and they were triplets. Once the emperor ceased grieving over his loss, he named the three children. The two boys were named Oni and Alis, and the daughter was named Vila. The three children grew up never having a mother, and this affected them greatly, especially Oni. He felt very separated from the rest of the city’s children because they treated him like a freak after he accidentally let loose his power and hurt a little girl when she picked on him. Alis and Vila knew that he didn’t mean to do this, and tried to help him. But before they could, Oni made a friend, one that no one knew of. Her name was Majora, and began to influence him. When Oni met Majora, she was a lonely child who no one would play with cause she was a "freak" with her dark magical powers in eyes of other kids (similarities is always a reason for friendship). When Oni and Majora played together, Majora often showed Oni dark magic and learned him how to use them, for her the ability was naturally and she didn't see anything wrong with it, but for Oni, the powers drastically changed him. The Dark magic started to consume him seeing as he was smarter(in logical sense) then Majora he soon become the "leader" and the strongest who decided what they would do, and using his logical sense and being more twisted by the powers then Majora Oni started using them for selfish and evil purposes then Majora would have done. By the time he was 13, she had turned him into a worse form of herself, and he became very violent. He would beat up other children for no reason, and constantly ridiculed his siblings. Alis and Vila could see he was acting very strange, and had changed somehow. After Oni killed a child, he began to become more destructive, destroying homes and using new dark powers (taught to him by Majora) to wreak havoc upon the city. His father saw this as a major threat to his people, and could not stand by and watch his child become a demon. With much reluctance, he asked Alis and Vila to kill their brother. They were shocked to hear this, but before they could argue, Oni had already heard this, and he choked his father to death in front of Alis and Vila. Immediately after he did this, he turned to Alis and Vila, weeping very noticeably, and he tried to kill them as well. Alis and Vila could not fight their brother for they loved him too much, even though he has acted so negatively to them. They figured the only way to stop him without harming him as to seal him away forever. So Alis pinned Oni down, and while he cursed at them and expressed his hatred for them, Vila quickly grabbed a mask from the wall, and placed it on Oni’s face. She began to sing, and this song used her power to affix Oni’s body and soul inside the mask. Once this task was finished, the mask resembled an older form of Oni, with Face paint and purely white eyes. Then, as they watched the motionless mask, Majora came in. After sneaking into the castle to find Oni, Majora arrived in the throne room and finds the mask of Oni, the dead father and the two crying siblings. Having lost her one and only friend, Majora gets filled with rage and hatred. Hatred against the tribe which created her, hatred against the siblings, hatred against the kids who said she was a freak, hatred against everybody (this is after she picks up the mask). She then assault the two siblings and with her powers being stronger because of her feelings, she is so strong the siblings aren't able to do anything but use the sealing magic on Majora, and the sealing magic then returns her to her original shape (the mask that was used in the rituals to create Majora, as said by the HMS) and the siblings sends her and Oni into the dimension of Termina, hoping that they would not return. Then they grieved over the two losses they had made that day, and wished their mother could return. But Xeves was doomed to only watch the disaster, unable to aid her children for all eternity. -300 AOoT: Twilight Princess -305 AOoT: Link is now 21 years old, and for a reason we are still debating he ventures deep into the lost woods (at the moment it is mostly because he wants to find something more in life than herding goats, so he sets out to find new places to explore). This area of the lost woods is dark and the only light is the little rays coming down from the openings in the canopies. Instead of the tunnels in the beginning of the lost woods, he is now in a thick and overgrown forest, and begins to hear voices. This sends him into a Schizophrenic panic and he passes out on the ground. He does not realize that during his trauma he passes through a rip in the space time continuum (looks like a rip in a sheet and wind is passing through it, only it’s in mid air) that places him in Vivala. He awakens in the back of a car (not a modern one, like an early fords that you regularly see in movies set in the early 1900’s such as The Green Mile or King Kong [Peter Jackson]), with a girl leaning over him and dabbing his forehead with a wet rag while a man with blood red hair drives. After a short cutscene that tells you their names (Arcodes [Man] and Nicia [Girl]) and shows their personalities, the car stops in a small village with a view of the distant city of Unharus. There you learn more about the two, such as the fact that Arcodes and Nicia are “siblings” (Arcodes just takes care of her, and feels too much pity to tell her that she is not his sister). While Nicia is asleep in the other room, Arcodes inquires Link about who he really is and where he comes from (in his words “From where do you hail?”). After Arcodes tells Link that finding his way back is near impossible, Arcodes begins drinking ale (not like a drunkard, but just a casual drinker). Once you start to get to know this character a bit more, and after he gets a tad bit tipsy, he goes off to bed and Link sits in the chair all night, staying awake due to his realization. The next morning Arcodes offers to take Link into Unharus to get used to the place, and Link agrees. They enter the city (the capital city at that), and they split up, and the only tasks Arcodes gives you is to walk around, and meet him back there at dusk. After exploring the city a bit, and doing a few sidequests (minor ones, like catching a thief), Link sees a registry for a jousting tournament. After paying the amount of rupees (yes, they use rupees in Vivala), you begin with a tutorial on how to joust, and after you tell the game that you understand how to play (it shall be explained in the gameplay portion of this post), you begin the tournament. In the final round (it’s a cutscene in this round) Link goes into another schizophrenic episode while he’s riding towards his adversary, showing link seeing the opponent as a bizarre monster. He leaps off the horse and beheads the man, and he is arrested and sentenced to death. He is thrown into a wet and filthy prison cell, with a group of cloaked men already inside. After a short cutscene of the men talking to Link, a man enters, apparently the leader of the group, and they escape, with Link following suit. After the group leaves, you have to traverse the rooftops, trying not to be seen, and get out of the city. If you miss a jump across a gap (for example over an alley or a street), you must sprint towards your destination until you find a way back up to the roofs, as it is impossible to get out of the city by the gates because of the guards. To allow you to jump farther and move faster through the streets to avoid guards, a button will be dedicated to increasing speed called the sprint button. But to prevent you from cheating your way through this course, and to make the feature more realistic, while sprinting a fatigue bar will decrease until Link has to stop and catch his breath. However, if a guard (more likely a group of guards) comes into close range of you, the fatigue bar will instantly fill due to adrenaline. On all edges of the city, there will be an object that can allow you to get on top of the city wall, so you can take your own path to get out of the city. Not finished Gameplay: -Jousting: You control the thrust and the direction by positioning and obviously thrusting the wiimote, and you shake the nunchuck to make the horse go faster. -Swordplay: After the disappointment of the lack of mimicked motions with the wiimote in TP, I would emphasize nearly every movement of the wiimote would be mirrored to the movements of the sword. Of course this would require some skill with swordfighting to play the game, but would really only be necessary with duels (such as the Ganondorf duel at the end of TP). So let’s say you’re in a clash with a Darknut. Obviously early in the game, while Link is at the same level of power as he was in TP, the same strategy would be placed in the game from TP. However, later as link gets stronger and more agile with his swordplay he will actually be able to block the Darknut’s attacks not with his shield, but with his sword. This will allow an actual swordfight with a Darknut, but there would have to be a way for them to still have an upper hand so that the fights don’t become easy, perhaps grabbing Link and send him hurting across a certain distance (about 10 to 15 feet). -The World: Much like Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Fable, you would be able to explore an entire country freely (this time an island). Scattered across the world would be small villages, hidden tombs/dungeons (for rare treasures and items, some of which could allow for getting extras in the major temples), two medium cities, and two large metropolises (Unharus and Savylla). There will be no areas in the overworld linked by tunnels like in TP, OoT, and MM; you can explore everywhere and everything that’s within your grasp according to your progress in the game. So basically you can even climb the mountains freely and search for hidden dungeons in the bogs in the east. The size is another factor. Vivala would likely have 20 to 25 square miles of overworld (including the hidden areas to the north), full of lush environments (which would even be possible with TP graphics) and would have a more realistic abundance of enemies, which would consist of much more than bokoblins and moblins (maybe even some new enemies I’ve been thinking up, of which I am currently developing). -Cities: All cities in Vivala, even small towns, will be a blend of Gothic, Sicilian, and Spanish architecture. Depending on which city you are in, one of those three will be more prominent, such as Santyll will feature Sicilian and Barcelona esque buildings to give you an exotic feeling when traversing the streets and alleys. And in Unharus, Gothic towers and medieval hi-rises will be at every corner. Also, here are some maps of the two major cities that we have so far. -Unharus: Not Finished -Santyll: Not Finished There will be alot more added over the next four days, so be patient.
