You, sir, are a genious.
I love you. XD But yeah, I think this is brilliant! Although, perhaps the dungeons should be slightly seperate from the actual game. Like some guy who let's Link have a dream, like in LA and MC, but he only gets to keep items specificly meant for the dungeon. Like, for example, you put the Bow halfway through the dungen. It would be unfair if somebody came through and already had the bow; it would take out the fun of it. However, perhaps an early puzzle requires the hookshot, but you already have another item as the treasure. But that puzzle would be way too easy if the player already had the bombchu's. You could set it so that when the player starts up the dungeon, he has the hookshot, but no bombchu's. Get what I'm saying? However, you do get prizes like rupees, just not real treasures and stuff. Also, you should get a prize for winning.

But yes, Phantom Hourlgass is practicly BEGGING to have a stage editor. It's so simple, you know? But simple in the good way. And if the game was advanced enough, you could have an island, with talking NPC's and everything. But the way you access it would be like this. You access your file, and go to some guy on an island who runs a dream shop. You buy a dream, for like 30 rupees or something. Then you pick the 'dream' you want (The dungeon, eother self created or sent to you by a friend), then you start off on the island, with all the items you need. Then you go through the dungeon, and get some sort of prize for beating it. And you get to keep the rupees you found, to make up for the price you spent on it. You can save and quit in the dream, too, and start up in the dream. Or you can quit quit, and maybe pay a fee to save your progress for later.

No, not it's own game. But a big part of it. Like, one fourth of the memory, or something.

I agree.
I disagree. But anyway, now that I think about it, a spin-oof game of Phantom Hourglass would be cool. I would have mostly the same items and stuff as Phantom Hourglass, so it would't take that long to design or anything. With no main quest, it would have more memory for skins and items and multiple dungeons. Yea, that would be cool.

I think they could use a FEW more items than PH. Also the game could come with some default dungeons from LOZ and Link's Awakening as examples of just how effectively the builder can be used. |

Yeah. Exept, not from LoZ. Those dungeons were too simple. Perhaps have three dungeons, the Tail Cave, the Sacred Grave (Or whatever the first dungeon in OoA was) and the Gnarled Root Dungeon.

Yeah, I suppose if there was an online archive it wouldn't take long for someone to make the LOZ dungeons anyway. Maybe it could be a Wiiware game though? Since playing through small overworlds and then dungeons without any story isn't particularly... deep. Being a spin-off kind of game, I think it would work perfectly. |
