Monsters of legends and myths that should become enemies on the next Zelda.

Okay is there any monsters of myth\legend that would make great enemies in the next Zelda game?
I'd say, the Jersey Devil because a horrifing creature like that would make an excellent foe, ya know, ear piercing screams, red creepy eyes, hidious looks, etc.

The JD was said to be born in 1735, which is sort of medival. If they did put the JD in a Zelda game, it would have it's name changed to Hyrule Devil or Hylian Devil.

There have been things similar, but I'd love to see a full-fledged Phoenix-type bird (possibly as a "fire temple" boss), and also a kind of Leviathan (its described in Job 41 of the Bible) creature for a huge lake (possibly as a "water temple" boss).

fighting a phoenix would suck... they rise from their ashes reborn. So what, links gotta go back every few years and kill it

As for me I wouldnt mind seeing a Basilisk creature. Would make for a great excuse to add the Mirror Shield and hammer. When the Basilisk attempts to turn you into stone, you use the shield and reflect it on the tail, then go up with the hammer and smash it.

it only turns only ashes with fire. not being rude but,how does when you chop its head of it turn to ases. and as something else link could turn into not just with twili maybe a mask but grifin he could limitedly fly and glide

well i heared something about how a myth has every fan asking, can Miyamoto finally have a timeline, but its for the next game, and that would ultimatly effect the mosters and the storyboard, i think it would combined sences from zelda games into this one, and so the beasts, would have on a scale from 1-10, the threat would be 17,and Ganon, about a 99, or above. but if you do remember, years ago Miyamoto shared that awsome scene of link and ganon fighting in just a sword fight, that was orginally ment for the wii, and it was almost as good!

though that would mean that if the myth is correct, it might be the last zelda, unless miamoto makes like a split timline thee timeline, and so he conitues the second, but that would never happene, (or could it????????????)

though yeah everything would make the monsters stronger than ever, and have more of a slash to Link!

While it was chasing us it made high piched screaming sounds that reminded me of the screaming sounds made by Majora's Wrath.

But, It's weird...

Many lone animals use stealth for hunting, the panther, the owl and make a quick strike on their prey... The jersey devil doesn't even care... its weird... Is it trying to talk about the pain its going through? Does it like to scare people?

Well, according to the original the legend, a women known as Mrs.Leeds or Mother Leeds (some people belive her real last name was shrouds), got pregnate for the 13th time and she was pissed off due to the fact that she already had 12 other children and that she was poor, she cursed her baby by saying "Let it be a devil" and when she gave birth to Smith J. Leeds (A.K.A the Jersey Devil) and it killed the whole entire family just before it flew out of the house. Basicly the Jersey Devil is said to be the Devil's work. So hell yeah it might love scaring people would you like to if you were a 260 year old evil monster monster made by the devil?
PS: I'm atheist so i don't belive the devil theory.

Well, Speaking strickly the evolution sense, it doesn't make much sense to me... unless it was fast as hell and could easily outfly any bird

ummm....maybe a manticore...or a Nue(head of a monkey, body of a tanuki, legs of a tiger, snake for a tail...basically a japanese chimera...said to transform into a black cloud and cause misfortune)...I dunno...

I like the manticore/chimera idea. Giant lion monsters are always cool.

I would like to see a hydra (could bring Gleeok back), a more traditional dragon (not like Volvagia or Argarok), giants, maybe some kind of creepy-looking kappa, and definitely a Sphinx. That would be cool.

Ugh, I don't want a retarded myth from the state I live in to be in one of my upcoming games, that's just well... retarded. I can't even begin to explain why I don't want to have a game with the Jersey Devil in it. I hate this state, and I hate that myth.

I like the Minutaur idea. Link bullfighting... that's a cool idea. I'd like to see a reak dragon, not wearing armour or with any freakish purple crystals. I's like some vampires, some medusa - like creatures, chimeras, manticores, some sort of sea serpent for water temples... yeah.
