Future Things

I was wondering what things from the past Zelda games would you like to see make a comeback in the next Zelda?

I would like to see the Magical Key come back. It opened up every door that was locked. Sure it would make the game easier but what if you obtained the Magical Key after you beat the game the first time?

True, yet I long for a zelda game that would bring back the Ocarina. Good times, goooooood times. But not the Ocarina of Time, but the Fairy Ocarina. I would also liike it if they brought back the Mirror Shield.

Honestly I never liked Farore's Wind because I never used it...nor really cared/wanted to figure it out since it was so confusing to me when I was younger. Oocoo was like that in TP.

But if they modified it a little then I might like it.

They should bring back red mail, roc's cape, and silver arrows.

Well I would like the ball and chain, spinner, some masks (bunny hood for sure!) , hawkeye, I don't want the gale boomereng (I like the regular one better), maybe magic eye, the leaf was kinda nice, some obvious ones like the bow and arrow (also light, fire, and ice arrows), some kind of a hammer would be fun (whichever one), claw/hook shot, double claw shot, and thats all I can think of right now.

EDIT: Oh yes and of course, Ooccoo

I would like the ball and chain to be in a 2d zelda game, like the ball and chain knight in LttP. that would be awsome. and maybe the crossbow too.

Oh ya, crossbow would be kinda nice, but then again I'd rather stick the the good ol' bow and arrow.

Crossbow from link's crossbow training in a proper zelda game, as a secondary to the bow and arrow, like the hookshot was to the grappling hook in WW.

- Emphasis on exploration, and progressing through the game in a non-linear fashion. The Zelda series is really drifting away from this focus, and I feel it is important that Zelda goes back to its roots in this area.

- A jumping ability. Roc's feather in Link's Awakening was great, as well as Roc's Cap from the other Gameboy Zeldas. It made exploration faster and more enjoyable; also, in Zelda II, the jumping ability really added a new layer of depth and fun to the combat.

- Towns with things to do and people you care about. Also, don't force me to like characters by throwing melodramic cutscenes in my face, just represent people in a realistic matter-- give them their own agendas, personalities, and stories-- and we'll decide if we like them or not. I just recently went back to give Twilight Princess another shot, and I was gagging and how much forced emotion was put into each cutscene, especially with Colin. "Link, when I grow up, I want to be just like you." Could you get any more cliche or overdramatic? Really, I was getting sick from how cheesy the characters were... they are just impossible to care about.

Yeah, it did seem like they were trying WAY to hard in TP. Trying to make us like characters rather than let us think to ourselves on whether or not we cared for this person. A lot of those lines by Colin did make my gag, to the point I couldn't believe he was actually saying what he was saying, Ilia too was annoying and trying to force her onto you.

I would like a Zelda game that didn't force me to go to Point A, then B, then C, then D. To bring my exploration and mystery into Zelda games. I'd like more towns too. What? Yeah, you heard me. More places than just one Castle city, one small village in the forest, and a ghost town with hardly any residents at all.
