Game Idea: The Legend of Zelda: Son of Evil
Before you read this, take special note that I made this idea up before joining ZU, and I was without knowledge of the sometimes heated debates about the ever-elusive Zelda timeline, in fact I didn't even know a split was possible. Please forgive me for newbieness in the timeline, and please forgive that at the time of designing this, I never knew the Zelda community wanted an entirely original game (though the idea isn't that unorginal). Thank you for hearing me out.
The Legend Of Zelda: Son of Evil is to take place in between the times of Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess, during the time of the Imprisoning War. This time, Link is the “son” of Ganondorf, King of Evil, hence the name Son of Evil. Ganondorf has managed to break the seal with the help of the Dark Magicians, who are later condemned to be the Twili. Hyrule is at a time of war with the Dark Magicians and their creatures, led under Ganondorf. It is much later discovered that Link was not Ganondorf’s son, but he was kidnapped at his birth in a hospital where his parents were killed and the hospital was destroyed. Noticing great future strength in the baby, Ganondorf took him and raised him as his own. The game begins as Link is seen sparring with Ganondorf. After running errands for Ganon, Link is given the Villain’s Sword and a wooden shield. Link is then given the ultimate task to kidnap Princess Zelda by using the dark “Villain’s Robe” to sneak into Hyrule Castle. After sneaking past the numerous guards and searchlights, Link finds Zelda and attempts at a kidnapping her, but is caught before he can leave the room. Link is simply thrown into a jail cell, but minutes afterwards Ganon attacks the castle and frees Link. Back at Ganon’s tower, Link is punished for his failure at kidnapping the princess. Link then sneaks into the tower, but instead of kidnapping Zelda, he befriends her and defects to the Hylians. Zelda notices great power within Link, and brings him to the basement of the castle, to a large shrine of the Master Sword, with the pedestal and the sword itself in the middle. Link walks up to the pedestal and easily draws the sword out of the pedestal, and takes a few moments to swing it around triumphantly. Just then, cries are heard form the guards and Ganondorf appears. Using the Triforce of Wisdom, Zelda summons Din, Farore, and Nayru. Ganon teleports around them, and breaks the Master Sword into four pieces. Din and Nayru hold down Ganon steadily, and Farore summons a spell that causes Ganon to return to his tower. Farore then says that Link must prove himself worthy of the great sword, and teleports three of the four pieces into the bowels of three large monsters, each within a dungeon. The goddesses then say, “One is protected by Forest, in the sacred Kokiri Underground. The next is protected by Fire, in the sacred Death Tunnels. The Final piece is protected by Water, in the sacred Sea Temple. Collect the three pieces and return here. May the spirit of the Master Sword be with you.” They then disappear and the spirit of Reela, the incarnation of the Master Sword, appears. She says, “The rest of me is hidden in the places that the goddesses have described, and I shall help you on your quest.” Link and Reela appear at the Kokiri Forest, where they are met by the Kokiri. At first the children are aggressive, led by Mido, but then they find out about Link’s cause and decide to let him into the Kokiri Underground to seek and destroy the monster that is poisoning the Young Deku Tree’s roots. Link heads in, and inside finds the Fire Boomerang, which allows him to light braziers and torches and to burn ropes and vines. Link finds and kills Demonic Puppet: Renosa. He then takes the first shard of the Master Sword. After this, Link goes to Malon’s Ranch, as she is in her late thirties, and gets use of Epona. Link also collects the Hero’s Clothes, also to be known as Farore’s Armor. Reela and Link head out to Death Mountain and befriend the Gorons and the people of Kakariko Village. They allow Link passage into the Death Tunnel inside Death Mountain. Inside, Link finds the Glider Fan, a large fan that allows Link to glide over gaps and blow gusts of air. Link then locates the source of activity in Death Mountain: Fire Mosquito: Pyroavia. Link kills the creature and takes the second shard of the Master Sword. Link and Reela head to Zora’s Domain, which has been turned into a wasteland with the water turned into poison and the atmosphere polluted. Link then gets a boat from the Zoras and heads out into the Great Sea to the Sea Temple. Inside, Link finds the Hero’s Bow. He uses it to defeat the Ghost Ship. Link then takes the last piece and returns to Hyrule Castle, where he must sneak past the guards put under a dark spell. At the shrine, Link then puts the shards of the Master Sword together and strikes it into the pedestal. This fuses the broken pieces together, making the solid form of Reela appear, visible to all. This also breaks the curse set upon the guards. Zelda then instructs Link to do that which must be done. He must go to Ganon’s tower and seal the evil King away. On his way out, Link meets a beautiful witch his age in Castle Town. Her name is Evelyn, a witch who harnesses shadow powers. Because of discrimination and fear from fellow townspeople, her parents and family were locked up, but the king forbade Evelyn from being imprisoned because of her young age (Link and Evelyn are both 15 years old). Evelyn wishes Link a safe journey as he leaves to assail the tower. Unfortunately, Link does not win the battle; instead, he loses poorly and barely escapes Ganon’s wrath. As he flees, the new weapon of the Dark Magicians, The Fused Shadow, chases Link. As he flees the area of Ganon’s Tower, Link spots Evelyn, casting a shadow spell. Just as he passes her at full speed, Evelyn casts a large, unbreakable shield barrier that surrounds the circumference of the area of the tower and stops anything from getting in – or out. Evelyn passes out, and Link carries her back to Castle Town. Zelda greets Link at the southern gate. Link, Reela, and Zelda decide what to do next at the castle. They decide to find an ancient weapon of light that might destroy the barrier surrounding Ganon’s Tower. Sages nearby tell them that it has been broken into pieces. One of them is in the forgotten mines, another is in the tower of lightning, the third is in the complex controlled by sound, and the final piece is in the Sacred Realm. Link heads out to the Miner’s Quarry on the opposite edge of the desert. Inside he finds the Motorized Armor, which is an armor Link wears over the Hero’s Clothes that makes him stronger and gives him the ability to operate the complex ancient machines within. He locates and kills Armored Hedgehog: Armohog. Link then heads to the Lightning Temple, which is built into the mountain range that Death Mountain is a part of. The mountain is called Helmaroc Mountain. Inside, he finds the Lightning Rod, which allows him to absorb lightning and either lays down a field of electricity to stun enemies around him or uses the absorbed power to operate machinery. He then locates and kills the Helmaroc Queen. Link appears at the Kokiri Forest to find it on fire. He runs to the Deku Tree to find it safe and protected by a force field. Link sees Saria, beaten and battered by monsters. Link then fights all of the monsters that appear, including Phantom Ganon. He escapes the forest holding Saria, and prays to Nayru for a rainstorm. Nayru answers his prayers with the rain, and the fire goes out, yet Saria was the only Kokiri saved. The Deku Tree lives on, and Saria lives in Castle Town thanks to a blessing that allowed her to leave the forest without dying. Next, Link heads off to The Sound Temple within the Lost Woods. There, he acquires the Vibration Hammer, which allows him to smash objects and activate the “Sound Cannons” within the temple. In the end he faces off with Sonic Dragon: Phonvagia. Next, Link heads back to Castle Town, where he searches for an answer to finding the Sacred Realm. He asks Evelyn, now town heroine, for an answer. She says that there is a Dark Shrine in her basement of her home and after Ganon’s descent into the Sacred Realm during the rise of the Hero of Time; the Sacred Realm was turned into a wasteland called the Dark World. Link sets off into the Temple of Time to seek help from Rauru, Light Sage. He fills up the Master Sword with the light of the gods, which should lift the darkness in the Dark World and return the Sacred Realm to its original state. Link heads back to Evelyn’s house, but she needs the Black Triforce, the reverse form of the Triforce, containing Vanity, Fear, and Hatred, to power the shrine. Link must get Vanity from a mini-dungeon. After Link gets the Black Triforce of Vanity, the shrine powers up, causing a portal to appear. Link must now lift the darkness cursed upon the Sacred Realm. He fights his way through the ranks of many dark creatures until he finds a pedestal. Striking the Master Sword deeply into the pedestal, the darkness is lifted. Link then heads to the Temple of Light. There he finds the Scepter of Light, which lets him target a maximum of five targets, then unleash a Screw Attack-like move where he hits all of the targeted objects in one move by flying into them. He faces off with Armored Jumper: Altivania. After these four dungeons, the pieces of the Light Gauntlet, the powerful weapon of light is recreated. Link and Reela finally head back to the Dark Barrier, and try everything within their power to destroy the barrier using the gauntlet, but nothing happens. Responding to their attempts, the gauntlet speaks to them. “My power can only be unleashed if I am driven by the power of true Courage.” Reela guesses that the Light Gauntlet meant the Triforce of Courage. They go to the castle to get an answer from Zelda. For reasons unknown, she faints. In her unconscious slumber, she mutters, “Courage can only be found in the Hospital of his destiny, as it had been foreseen for the Chosen One to return to his fearful birthplace.” Only Reela had heard what Zelda had said unconscious. Realizing what the spirit had said through Zelda’s mind, Reela grabs Link and brings him to the Ruined Hospital outside of Castle Town before the princess can awaken. Link and Reela enter the Ruined Hospital. Inside the hospital, Link finds the Ghost Eyes, which allow him to see the ghostly enemies and ghostly objects within the dungeon. Here Link learns about the sad fate of his parents and why he being the Chosen One had saved his life, and is now eager to avenge the saddening death of his parents and the many additional Hylians who had been killed in the fray. He finds and kills Invisible Monster: Inolacchian to retrieve the Triforce of Courage to empower the Light Gauntlet. With the power of the Triforce of Courage, the Light Gauntlet is totally empowered, and the Triforce returns to Link as the needed power is taken. Link’s parents bid him farewell as he returns to the surface. Link and Reela head back once again to the barrier, and using the Light Gauntlet, they shatter the barrier with ease. They head down the path to Ganon’s Tower, which is now a fortress. As they approach the floating fortress, it magically disappears from thin air with a loud bang. Filled with rage, Link heads to Hyrule Field, only to find that the Dark Magicians—and their Warriors--are fighting the Hylian Royal Soldiers in the largest battle of the Imprisoning War. Link faces off with the Dark Warriors on horseback and kills the magicians with the Bow to help the Hylians in the Battle For Hyrule Field. During the battle, Reela bears witness to something she would have never imagined. She sees Ganon’s Fortress floating above Hyrule Castle, and the fortress is entering a portal into the Sacred Realm, which would return the winning side of the war to Ganon. Colonel Rodinek, a Hylian Knight, sees the fortress floating too. He tells Link and Reela that they need no longer help in the battle, as the Hylians are winning the fight. Now pressed for time, Link and Reela head to Hyrule Castle as fast as possible so they might be able to stop the Fortress from entering the portal. As they approach the castle, they must now fight the Fused Shadow. After winning the battle, the Fused Shadow leaps back to the fortress, to be faced again. Using the unpredictable properties of the Light Gauntlet, Link and Reela jump up to the fortress. Inside Ganon’s Fortress, Link manages to find the Platinum Gauntlets, which have abilities later to be found out. As Link approaches a previously seen sealed door, the Platinum Gauntlets activate. Link’s body surges with unspeakable power, and the door obliterates right in front of him. Link uses this newfound power to progress deeper into the fortress. Link finally finds the end, at the top. He sees the Fused Shadow, waiting for him. It teleports Link to a separate dimension where they face off. The Platinum Gauntlets activate an even more powerful ability where they transform Link into a large monster, which allows him to fight the Fused Shadow (the player actually plays as the monster). After defeating the Fused Shadow in brutal monster-on-monster combat, the four Light Spirits appear, taking away the broken pieces of the Fused Shadow to be protected in special temples. Link fights his way further into the temple and locates Ganondorf at the top of the fortress. There they fight, and Reela assists Link by stunning Ganon with the Light Gauntlet. At a certain point in the battle, Reela is struck by a dark spell from Ganondorf, and gets knocked unconscious for most of the battle. She awakens, and continues to assist Link. After Ganon is weakened, Reela focuses all of her power into the gauntlet to hold him down. Right then and there Link jumps into the air and delivers the final blow to the King Of Evil. Ganon focuses the remains of his strength into propelling the fortress through the last leg of the portal and into the Sacred Realm. But Evelyn has already cast a spell to pull the fortress back down to earth. It picks up speed and heads toward the castle with lethal speed, but Evelyn redirects it towards a spot just outside Castle Town’s walls. The entire fortress explodes and sends Link, Reela, and Ganondorf’s body flying, but Link lands solidly and safely on his feet thanks to the Platinum Gauntlets. Reela safely descends back to the ground. Hylian officials send Ganon’s body to the Arbiter’s Grounds in the Gerudo Desert because it was known that the seal would be broken yet again, so they wanted to be prepared to seal him away once more. Link and Evelyn meet back in Castle Town, and they hug deeply. One week later, Link receives a message from the gods telling him that he must place the Master Sword in a pedestal within the Temple of Time, which has been made into ruins by damage from the Imprisoning War. Reela tells him that placing it back into the pedestal, it will kill her and lift a curse on her placed long ago. In a flashback, she explains that the curse was placed on her by the gods because of a terrible crime she committed, and so they fused her soul with the Master Sword so she could repay her debt. Reluctantly, Link plunges the Master Sword into the pedestal, and as Reela dies, She mutters, “Thank You” to Link.

Quote:
Demonic Puppet: Renosa: Deep in the Kokiri Underground lies the large puppet Renosa. Renosa is a gigantic wooden puppet with the head and the body disconnected. During the beginning of the fight, Renosa’s body appears apart from the head. After Link uses the Fire Boomerang to burn the body’s ropes, it collapses and the head arises from a large pile of invincible underbrush. Having only three ropes, it is much easier to bring to the ground, giving Link the ability to hit it with his sword; yet it has multiple magic attacks rather than pounding Link into the ground. After a few rounds, Renosa is defeated, allowing Link to get the Master Sword shard and the Hero’s Clothes to replace his Villain’s Robe. Fire Mosquito: Pyroavia: In the middle of the Death Tunnel lies Pyroavia, a large flying creature adapted from the Chykka Adult from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. Using the Glider Fan, Link must blow multiple air gusts at Pyroavia to make her fall into the pit of lava in the center. Link then needs to glide to her, then, on her belly, Link strikes her chest to inflict damage. Pyroavia uses multiple fire attacks, and after a few rounds she dies and her death stops Death Mountain from catastrophically erupting. This allows Link to get the next Master Sword shard. Ghost Ship: In an enormous atmosphere force field bubble on the sea floor sails the Ghost Ship, a ghostly pirate ship that has a skeletal crew and captain, and shimmers in and out of existence. The battle begins when Link attempts to leave the force field, but he’s is trapped in the moment he steps in. First, Link must dodge the cannon fire and wait for the ship to turn solid. When it solidifies, Link needs to fire Bomb Arrows at it until the ship gets damaged and the captain teleports link onto the ship to duel him. The captain wields two sabres and has fast attacks. Link must score hits on the captain to do damage to the boss. After a while of hitting the ship and then the captain, the captain dies, and this allows Link to collect the final piece of the Master Sword. Armored Hedgehog: Armohog: Deep within the forgotten Miner’s Quarry is Armohog, a hedgehog like creature with its back covered in steel plating. There is a large sandpit in the center of the arena surrounded by solid rock in a circle. Armohog basically rolls around the arena and latches to the wall, which makes his next moves unpredictable as he could come rolling out of almost nowhere. In order for Link to make the beast show his vulnerable belly, he must intercept Armohog dead-center on his body in mid-roll, and then, using the Wii remote to turn him, flips the mighty beast over, thanks to the Motorized Armor. After a few beatings, Armohog keels over, and this grants Link the first piece of the Light Gauntlet. During the battle, an American Indian drumbeat is played as the fight music. Helmaroc Queen: At the top of the tall Lightning Temple sits the Helmaroc Queen who resembles the Helmaroc King from Wind Waker. The arena is wide and open, and The Helmaroc Queen often flies freely in the airspace. She will often fly low and try to hit Link or do quick attacks with her beak. Hidden in the floor are machines that were originally used to tame or punish her, and this will be crucial in the battle. Link needs to wait for the queen to land, and then he must fire an arrow at one eye. This stuns her, and gives Link a reasonable window of time to summon a lightning bolt and stab it into the pedestal in the center. This activates three machines. Two of them grab the queen by her wings and hold her down, while the other one fires a bolt at her which does damage. After a few rounds, Link finally kills the beast protected for centuries for reasons unknown and is granted the second piece of the Light Gauntlet. Sound Dragon: Phonvagia: Deep inside the complexed Sound Temple awaits Phonvagia, a dragon that is armored and uses sound attacks. The first part of the battle takes place in an out-of-place room compared to the high-tech Sound Temple, as it looks very old and worn out. Link must shoot an arrow at Phonvagia’s neck to stun her, and then deliver a blow to the helmet with the Vibration Hammer. After a few hits, her helmet breaks and she teleports away. Guessing by the type of teleport, Reela assumes that she has headed out into the Lost Woods. From here, the player can take the battle anywhere he or she wants except for indoor areas. This time Link must use the bow to hit the glowing gems on Phonvagia’s wings to bring her down and then strike her exposed head with the sword. After a few rounds of this, Phonvagia is defeated, allowing Link to collect the third piece of the Light Gauntlet. Armored Jumper: Altivania: At the very top of the Light Temple awaits Altivania, an armored monster that has machines in its armor that allows it to jump to amazing heights. Altivania uses his tail and his claws as well as his feet to attack Link. First, Link must fire bomb arrows at Altivania’s helmet to lift it up, and then fire regular arrows at his face to stun him. This makes Altivania lower his head, and Link must hit his nose with a jump attack, yet this does no damage. Altivania snaps his helmet back on, and jumps into the air, preparing for a crushing blow. In that small frame of time, Link must target the five Light Crystals on the battlefield and unleash the light attack on them. This activates a large spinning blade system underground; and this machine rises, ready for the monster. Altivania falls into the blades, and this does damage. After three rounds, the beast finally dies, and thus ends one of the hardest boss battles of the game. This allows Link to collect the final piece of the Light Gauntlet. Invisible Monster: Inolacchian: Within the depths of the Ruined Hospital sleeps Inolacchian, an invisible monster that can only be seen with the help of the Ghost Eyes. This battle is fairly easy, and easier than most boss battles in the game. Link must fire arrows at Inolacchian’s eye to aggravate it. Inolacchian then uses lunging attacks at Link, and that exposes Inolacchian’s vulnerable eye to Link’s Sword. After a few rounds, Link wins and collects the Triforce of Courage. Fused Shadow: This battle comes in two parts, one outside of Hyrule Castle and the other in a separate dimension, as a monster. The Fused Shadow is the same Fused Shadow from Twilight Princess. First, Link must aggravate it by shooting bomb arrows at its helmet. Link must dodge many attacks thrown at him by the monster, and wait for the opportunity to strike the helmet with the Master Sword when the monster stuns himself by running into the ground or a wall. After this process is repeated, the monster retreats into the fortress. When Link confronts the Fused Shadow again, the Platinum Gauntlets transform him into a monster not quite as big as the Fused Shadow, but wielding a broadsword that deals more destruction to the helmet. Monster Link must first shoot arrows from his ballista-sized bow at the helmet again, and from there the battle turns into more of a swordfight as the Fused Shadow shrinks down to Monster Link’s size and summons swords. After the duel, Link is freed from the dimension and is turned back into a human. Ganondorf: The final showdown between Link and the King of Evil is a long and tedious battle, but is also very fun and exciting. Straight from the beginning, Ganondorf hits helpless Link so quickly and so many times that the Triforce of Courage is dropped by Link. Ganon collects it, and all of a sudden, Zelda is seen, being suspended in midair. Ganon manages to extract the Triforce of Wisdom from Zelda, and thus he has all three pieces in his possession. Din, Farore, and Nayru all descend from the heavens. They will only listen to Ganon because of him being the beholder of the fully completed Triforce, and with his incredible power he possesses the three goddesses and sends them after Link. Reela is not one to stand around and watch, so she holds off Ganon, Nayru, and Din in a brutal midair fight, so that Link only has to duel Farore first. Link must use incredible swordplay to defeat her. Near the end of their duel, Reela tells Link that he must summon the Dead Miners, (the minibosses from the Miner’s Quarry) now turned into stone, to hold down Farore and get their revenge on the Evil King. Link deals the final blow, and Farore is released from possession and ascends back to the Sacred Realm. At this time, the Triforce of Courage is shattered and descends back unto the world. Reela then lets Nayru come down to fight Link. Again, Link must use very effective swordplay to defeat her. Near the end, Link’s father, in his armor (miniboss from Ruined Hospital) is summoned to hold down Nayru. Link deals the final blow and thus releases Nayru, shattering the Triforce of Wisdom and holding it within the Sacred Realm. Din then descends onto the battleground, and Link must do the same thing to defeat her. This time the Great Fairy (Light Temple Miniboss) is summoned and she holds down Din while Link releases her. Finally, Link and Ganondorf face off. Link deals the final blow when Reela holds him down.

Re: Game Idea: The Legend of Zelda: Son of Evil
Villain’s Robe: The Robe that Link wears until beating the Kokiri Underground. It’s a black robe that reaches past Link’s feet and drags across the ground. Villain’s Sword: Link’s first sword; he uses it for the first three dungeons until he gets the Master Sword. It looks like a cross between a Saber and a Katana; it has a hand guard that goes across the knuckles, and on the blunt side it has a piece of metal that goes up then curls when it nears the blade; this is used to keep the sword in the sheath. Wooden Shield: A typical wooden shield; it disappears when set on fire. Hylian Shield: Available after the Kokiri Underground, it has the same properties as a Hylian Shield from other Zelda games. Fire Boomerang: Acquired in the Kokiri Underground, this has fire properties as it can light torches, can burn ropes, vines and other things, and is extinguished by water, so it needs to be re-kindled afterwards, using any fire source. Hero’s Clothes (Farore’s Armor): The typical hero tunic from any Zelda classic, Identifies Link as the Hero of Hyrule. Charge Shot: This is a new and more realistic version of the Hookshot. The Hookshot always made me wonder how the hook was propelled, and the descriptions said it had a spring. No springs that I could ever imagine would propel a hook through the air that fast and straight. So, I thought using charges would make the famous hookshot more realistic as it causes an explosion. Charges are limited so it would be a good idea to give Link a large capacity for charges. It still has the same properties of the Original Hookshot. Din’s Armor: Allows Link to enter Death Mountain without bursting into flames. It is Dark Red and has black detailing on it; such as there would be red fabric and black on the metal of the Gauntlets. Glider Fan: A large Chinese-style fan, the kinds that open up into a v-shape. Link can use it to blow gusts of air or glide over gaps. Intense heat propels the Glider Fan upward quickly. Bombs: Typical bombs. Nayru’s Armor: Allows Link to breathe underwater and swim faster. The armor is colored blue and gold, similar to the Zora armor. Hero’s Bow: A normal bow for Link to use. Throughout Link’s adventure, he acquires certain kinds of arrows such as the bomb arrow, light arrow, shadow arrow, fairy arrow, and shadowmaster arrow. Superheavy Boots: This is a change from the Iron Boots, since whenever Link would store the boots, the added weight would disappear, and that made no sense to me. My idea is to have magical boots that would only be heavy when they’re on his feet. Motorized Armor: Acquired in the Miner’s Quarry, the little machines and pistons make Link stronger. Electric attacks hurt Link three times as much, and Link has a 50% chance of being struck when using this armor and the Lightning Rod in tandem. Lightning Rod: This absorbs the power of lightning from the bolt, and uses it to energize machines within the Lightning Temple as well as other places. It can also use the charge to lay down a wave of expanding electricity to stun enemies within its radius, and also leaving them wide open to the ending blow. Vibration Hammer: A large hammer that needs two hands to wield, and causes the vibrations in the sound cannons within the Sound Temple. Master Sword: The legendary blade of evil’s bane. Sages’ Sword: Another legendary sword, known as “the redemption from darkness”. The sages’ sword is similar to the Biggoron’s Sword in that it is not game-necessary, longer than the Master Sword, and twice as strong as the Master Sword. However, it CAN be used to deliver the final blow to Ganondorf at the end of the game, not to mention the possessed goddesses, as it is a legendary sword. It is also two-handed so it cannot be used with a shield at the same time. It is the same sword that Ganondorf was impaled with by the sages guarding the Mirror of Twilight from Twilight Princess. Ranger’s Blade: An incredibly long Katana achieved after completing a sidequest. Link, surprisingly, wields it with one hand, due to an enchantment that makes the sword incredibly light to the user. 1.5 times longer than the Sages’ Sword, it has somewhat less attack power than the Sages’ Sword, but makes up for its loss in power with its length. Cannot be used for the ending blow on Ganondorf. Shadow Arrows: These use half of the amount of Magic that the Light Arrows use, and one-hit-kill weaker enemies. They deal good damage against living enemies, but heal the undead. Light Arrows: One-hit-kill for any enemy except bosses and minibosses, but uses twice as much Magic as the Shadow Arrows. Shadowmaster Arrows: The Bomb Combo for the Shadow Arrows; summons a Shadowmaster. Fairy Arrows: The Bomb Combo for Light Arrows; summons a Great Fairy. Bomb Arrows: The Bomb Combo for Arrows; explodes on contact. Light Scepter: A golden scepter that targets up to five enemies/targets, and unleashes a Screw Attack-like move on the targets in rapid succession. Not incredibly damaging, but effective in some situations. Usable as an effective mode of transport. Ghost Eyes: Similar to the Lens of Truth, the Ghost Eyes allow Link to see invisible and interdimensional objects and enemies.

I made a thread similar to this... -Did I inspire yew? ![]() -But eventually leads to link and his original situation in your story --While in mine you have the choice to attack ganon when ever you want... ---You just might not be strong enough with just a sword and sheild......

I actually put some effort into it, designing the items and bosses, making a fair amount of stuff original (which is actually pretty hard to do). I also loved the storyline and how it went deeper than most games. So I suppose it could turn out into a good Fanfic, but I REALLY DON'T WANT TO WRITE ONE. I like how your game allowed you to choose when you felt it necessary to take on the big guy.

Re: Game Idea: The Legend of Zelda: Son of Evil
Great stuff here!
![]() The choice to decide when to take on the bad guy? That's an interesting idea... maybe introduce a trade-off system for players who want to keep exploring to get stronger, but the world becomes more under the control of evil?

Re: Game Idea: The Legend of Zelda: Son of Evil
The game was really thought out, but it still has a story line similar to OoT. The "Ganon being Links Foster parent really gives the game a cool, yet odd twist.

I'm also a fan of maximizing what you would have... realistically... in that situation... I didn't read your whole thing... -I never really do... Except on rare occassions... But it probably was a heavilly thorough story... -Theres something awesome about the idea of Link being Ganons son --THe suspense... and then... there would be times where Ganons all leik... "You seem alot like a guy I used to know...." and links like "...." ![]() Or you could side with Zelda and it turns back into the same old story... -If you want it to be... It should definitly be there.... But the Cutscenes wouldn't be done everywhere... -Just major things.... Like game over... or you kill Ganon... or... you beat a temple... I guess thats just the way our minds work... -You like to tell a good story... -I like to be in an interesting situation...
