This video was posted up on myspace yesterday 4/1 (April Fool's Day), and is apparently supposed to come out one year from then (April Fool's day of next year).

Now, the timing of this trailer's release makes it hard to take it seriously, and it seems like it's just an elaborate April Fool's prank.

However, I've seen other trailers for low budget, fan-made Zelda movies in the past, on those are a joke. This however, has some pretty amazing CGI for just a prank, and the cinimetography isn't bad either.

Does anyone think that maybe IGN really is producing a Zelda movie?

Haha, and almost as important, would anyone watch it?

Link looked like a cross between Michal Jackson and Frodo and don't get me started on Ganondorf.
The onlyone who did a half decent job was Zelda. Far from perfect but she was at least decent.

So it was a joke all along. Well i admit the special effects were quite impressive but yeah, character actors were awful.

Woah! thats pretty weird. Except the triforce is on the wrong hand XD. Plus the guy doesn't really look like link.

I mean, they say "It's a joke" but maybe, next year, they'll come in and say "OH YEAH, REMEMBER LAST YEAR, WELL, WHEN WE SAID IT WAS A JOKE, WE WERE KIDDING. SO HERE'S THE FULL MOVIE, ALL DONE!"

That would be funny as hell...

Heh...that'd be interesting...especially since Ganondorf looked like a joke in that vid

If they changed Link with someone that did not look like a Hobbit, and changed Ganondorf to a more real person, then I would happy watch it.
They just have to not follow the plot of a game, but rather make a own story, based on the legend: Link meets Zelda, Ganondorf is evil. The triforce is somehow included. That's enough for a good film.

Atleast Link didn't look gay... ok he looked slightly gay towards the end. And Zelda wasn't hot enough and Ganondorf, well... it wasn't a bad try at Ganondorf.

Wonder how long that took to make.

Link didn't look gay, but he was not excactly what I'd expect Link to Look like.
Zelda don't need to look hot, and Ganondorf was too green'ish and too hairy.
Christopher Lee would perhaps be a good Ganondorf. In his LotR look.

His hat was goofy as hell. That's one thing that they might have to change for a movie... I do, however, like the chain mail underneath his tunic. And Gohma was pretty cool, too.

I wouldnt mind one bit if they choose to make a movie like this.

I agree. Ganon was pathetic.

I wish it was, but alas, it was an April Fool's joke by IGN.

We already have a thread that talks about all discussions relating towards a possible Zelda movie (including this April Fools prank) in http://www.zeldauniverse.net/forums/...lume-ii-9.html. It's already been proven that it isn't real, so there's yet another reason for this thread to be locked.
