Lightbulb The Legend of Zelda: Twin Swords

The wii version of Twilight princess had to be flipped so that Link could be right handed like most people. I have a fun solution to make Link left handed again, but still with Wii controls. Each of his hands has a sword in it. This would mean that the player would hold either two wii remotes or a wii remote and a nunchuk. With two swords, Link would have even more attack power than before. His spin attack will have twice as many slashes.

There would be many swords that Link could use for various reasons. There could be long swords, swords with elemental powers, swords with beams, the master sword, the four sword, and maybe even some other ones. The player could come up with many sword combinations to find the ultimate way to take down evil.

I realize that with both of his hands full, Link won't be able to hold the Hylian shield. I really don't care that much about shields. Link could wear a shield on his back and maybe he could wear a mini shield on each of his wrists. With so much attack power, Link won't really need a shield. That's the logic of using the biggoron sword after all.

If you think this idea is stupid than I hope you enjoy playing the next wii zelda game with Link being right handed again. If you have any ideas of your own, than I'd like to hear them.

It is rather sad that he had to give up his awesome lefty-ness, but there's only 1 master sword. Two would just be to much. Creative idea tho.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Twin Swords

Link wouldn't have two master swords. He would wield two swords at a time and both of them would be different unless Link was wielding the four sword in which case there would be four of the same sword for a limited period of time.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Twin Swords

LoZ is more based on European medieval times. Dual Swords if middle east and farther east.

The shield has become as much of a trademark as the Master Sword. (the wooden shield in celda style, and the blue-hylian shield, small shield in ALttP, etc./mirror-ALttP, OoT, MM, TWW, and TMC- shield in most)

Link keeps a shield.

I though the Logic was that by the time you get it, You should be proficient enough with dodging that you can eschew the shield because you weren't getting hit. If you aren't good enough, you should use a shield.

It is an interesting idea though, I would like to see Link use two swords, but with the play style of the 3D Zelda's, wouldn't this just end up with people spazzing the slashes between the two swords at a faster tempo. I really only like multiple swords if they are used with a certain degree of style. perhaps giving him a Florentine style, or making us use the Nunchuk for the sword in the first place.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Twin Swords

I would like to see a dual wielding Link. I think it would add a new kind of element to Zelda. One of my favorite fictional character uses two scimitars, Zuko from Avatar the Last Airbender also prefers two swords. The Gerudo/Pirates use dual weapons along with the Garo's in MM.

I think Link should use two swords instead of the classic sword and shield. Its not like it would leave Link defensless, in Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, the Prince uses two weapons the dagger and his sword. Was easy to block attacks in that game.

Would also allow Nintendo to stray from the Master Sword and create a new legendary blade... or well blades.

I think it would make things kind of interesting.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Twin Swords

Can't forget what I never knew... seriously I don't have a Wii, I have to borrow it from my brother.

New solution. Make everyone play it southpaw... I'm joking.

That's why I suggested that an alternative way to control Link would be to use two Wii remotes.

Doesn't the boomerang come from Australia or am I mistaken?

Using two swords could be something new that's fun. Putting this in a game would make it different from other 3D titles.

To everyone against this idea, you are forgetting one thing: If one sword has a power of 100, then two swords will have a power of 200!
