The Legend of Zelda: [insert cool name here]
Okay, here's the story:
Link starts out in Castle Town. You run around and do menial tasks to get acquainted with the game, and then Link comes back to his house at the end of the day. You walk up to your bed, and then 3 Gerudo thieves step out of the shadows and smack you in the back of your head. You wake up in the Gerudo stronghold, behind bars. Drifting in and out of consciousness, you see Ganondorf hold up his wrist to yours, and see the Triforce symbols that you each possess light up on the back of your hands. He drops your hand back on the ground, turns to a shadowed figure beside him and says: "Yes, he's the one. When does it begin? He replies: "Well, we can do it now, or we can wait until we have the girl as well. It's your call, but the Triforce will be more powerful when all the pieces are joined at the same time." "Let's do it as soon as possible. I don't want to take any chances." "Very well. We'll begin in 15 minutes." They get up and leave the cell. You get up, walk around, and somehow, you escape. Or maybe you escape when the guards bring you out. In any case, you break free and pick up one of the guard's swords. You fight your way out into the cold desert night and you sprint towards the exit. You're just about to cross the bridge when Ganondorf comes out of nowhere on his horse, sword brandished. You engage him in a boss fight, and when you lose, which you will, a cutscene is played. Ganondorf is about to finish you off with a strike from his sword when the shadowy figure from before flies in and hits you both with magic. When the screen clears, the man who cast the spell holds up his hand to reveal that he has both the Power and Courage symbol on his hand. Ganondorf, disbelieveing, looks at his hand to see that his Power symbol is missing. Link stares, wide-eyed, in horror. The figure lifts his hands and starts charging another spell. Ganondorf gets up and dives into the river. Link follows. Link gets washed up on the shore of Lake Hylia. He crawls onto the beach and sees Ganondorf lying at the shore. Link runs over to Ganondorf and pulls him onto the beach. Ganondorf pushes Link away, gets up, and starts walking in the opposite direction, when his eye is catched by a large object over his homeland. An ominous, dark purple cloud has covered Gerudo Valley. In the distance, you can see an army, blanketed in purple fog, coming out of the gates of Gerudo Valley marching towards Hyrule Castle. Ganondorf says: "I can't let him get the Triforce of Wisdom..... But the King would never listen to the Ruler of Thieves..." He turns to you. "Will you help me?" In this game, Link will act differently, due to not having the Triforce of Courage. He'll be a lot warier of things, but it won't interfere with the game too much. You won't have him cowering in the corner and whatnot. Also, Ganondorf is less of an ally than a "enemy of my enemy is my friend" thing. He'll manipulate things as much as he can to the extent of his power. Thoughts? |

Re: The Legend of Zelda: [insert cool name here]
Eh, I'm not too fond of Ganondorf being a 'lesser' enemy. If he ever is, I'd fully hope and expect that he will betray you part of the way through.
I also don't quite understand how someone could steal the Triforce pieces from you...that's not really consistent with how the Triforce pieces are in other games. Give us a little more info about this new bad guy you have in mind, and what items/relics you need to defeat him and what dungeons/temples/areas you need to brave to face him. How does the Link-Ganondorf relationship in this game work, and does Zelda play a major part too? Lots of questions to be answered. And as a brief side not, there are quite a few games where Link does not possess the ToC, so it really should affect that gameplay at all.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: [insert cool name here]
To take the TriForce from the holder, you need to prove you are more worthy in the designated area of that TriForce. So this mysterious enemy would have to defeat Ganondorf in battle.
Mind you, that WOULD be a very cinematic cutscene, seeing Ganondorf defeated. Also, agreeing with Erimgard, Ganondorf should betray you at some point. Having him as a playable character sounds fun though. EDIT: Erimgard, any chance you can rate mine? It's a bit massive, but it makes a fun read. (I hope) |

Re: The Legend of Zelda: [insert cool name here]
Eh, I don't see any indication that you can lose a Triforce piece if defeated by someone. Only if you're killed. And seeing as this story has both Ganondorf and Link alive throughout, that isn't the case.
You'll need a very interesting plot and likely some sort of new magic or item to explain it. And DarkVaati, I shall go have a look.

That's what I've been told, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: [insert cool name here]
True. If the maker of this thread can explain why Ganondorf and Link have their pieces in physical form, then it would make sense.
