evil link for the next series?

we have been controlling Link as the good guy.
you think it would work if the next release let us control evil Link?

for most of the game isn't to save zelda, but to capture her.
this means your opponents would be zoras, gorons etc etc, and allows opportunity to use new darker items.

Link is being possessed by the last boss(who ever that is) creating dark link(sort of like its hitman) to help it collect items because the boss is locked up or for some other reasons.
anyways, lets say 2/3 of the game we play as dark link doing "bad" stuff like beating up fairies and gorons and all the other characters we know was "good". Eventually we capture zelda, but some how zelda or something is able to break the curse and we play the last 1/3 as normal link. we could correct what dark link has done wrong( going through the "bad" character dungeons) and aim to defeat the last boss and to save zelda. they can throw in dillemas for link to defeat the actual "bad" characters, as you have made friends with them when you were dark link.

we get to fight dark link as a boss. dark link is much more powerful than ordinary link. so at some stage we can change back to dark link (eg to fight last boss)

of course we eventually kill the last boss, save zelda and hyrule, and perhaps link spares the life of some baddies. we make up to all the goodies we defeated as dark link, we didnt actually kill them, simply beated sense out of them

yah, thats it. its very vague but thats my idea, something along those lines, hope it made some sense

Hmm that would be interesting for a game and like he would go through phases where the power controlling him would wear off and he would turn good but after a certain amount of time the power would retake control. I don know, it sounds like a good idea, however I dont think Nintendo would make link out to be a baddie

link wouldnt be too much of a baddie, he will make up for it

Dark Gale Boomerang
Normal Arrows
Normal Sword
Basic Skills
No transformation
No telesportation

It would be rather boring unless it would be a side story where you complete a certain point and you unlock a scene of the evil fool...

I have said this numerous times in numerous threads that this would be a great idea. You must be special because people are giving you attention. Except my idea was a little different.

Remember how it is said that whoever touches the Triforce gets their wish? Well, what if Ganondorf wished Link to the evil side, and teh T-Force traded them? So it would be Dark Link on the evil side vs. Ganondorf on the good side, BUT you would still play as (Dark) Link. Wouldn't that be cool.

There are porbably many flaws in that idea, but oh well.

Or they... could let you have every thing.... you could have ice fire and DARK arrows, all the skills latter, telesportation with in the room at will, transformation into something evil... and the _______ sword, sword of holys bane. you think of dark gale boomerang and nothing other then that? they could do it. they just have to want to.

It's a fun idea, but I don't think Nintendo would do it. At best they might be talked into making a Zelda spoof staring Wario.

Doubt it but I'd love to play as Ganon for once.

What I've been wondering, how come Shadow has his own game? Dark Link should totally have his own too!

many because shadow has a real story, and fans. but that game sucks anyway, so he might as well not have one.

Ah, too true. Well, darn. They should at least develop his character better in the next one.

i like the basic idea, I would change it so Link becomes evil sometimes mabye like Prince of persia the two thrones. Mabye he can become evil at night like a kind of werewolf or something ?

And Dark Link doesn't? Dark Link has absolutely no background and people still talk about him to this day. He only appeared in one game and that was 10 years ago.

I think he was in at least 4... that platform nes zelda, OoT, some GBA game? the gamecube game you need GBA's to play...

Making Link A bad character would be too much like the next Tales of Symphonia. (Well, too much for me.)

Though, all the info you have expressed makes it sound like a good story. Quite.

The turning bad should happen like Tp when you enter twilight and transform into a wolf but with somthing other then twilight obviously.
