You know what would be really cool?

If they made an entire new Zelda adventure using the same 64-bit graphics as Oot and MM, and put it up for download on Virtual Console for so many Wii Points.

I think it'd be pretty darn awesome, and bring back the nostalgia for the older gamers.

What do you think? I know it'd probably never happen, but it's just an idea I came up with. Mainly, because I prefer the graphics of these games than TP.

money, money, money.....money!

We don't really need more nostalgia. OoT has already been given quite a few remakes.
Not to mention, Twilight Princess was made for Gamecube, not Wii. Thus, it did not have Wii graphics.
If anything, the graphics on the next game are going to be even better than TPs.

I say keep the new games new and fresh, not nostalgic.
If I want nostalgia, I'll play OoT and MM again.

I don't mind the idea but Erimgard brings up some pretty valid points.

I'd rather they blend nostalgia with novelty in a brand new, fully fleshed out title on the Wii. While novelty and nostalgia could blend in a game made for and sold on the VC, I feel it would be a very short adventure. While this can only be my assumption, I'm guessing that if they were going to sell such a game on the VC only, they likely wouldn't put that much effort or production value into it. Maybe I'm wrong. Who knows? I'd be interested in seeing it at the very least, and I'd sure as Hell play it.

However, at this point in time, if Nintendo could just focus on offering an original and exciting new Zelda title ...and maybe have something to show us by this year's E3, I'll be quite happy.

The first screen-shots/media/information regarding Rareware's Banjo-Kazooie 3 and a look at the first Zelda made specifically for the Wii? Best E3 ever.

You want nostalgia? Play the old games.

i see what you mean, but this would literally never happen
because it would be a new game, Virtual Console only shows old games.
