Lightbulb Sub Races

I'm sorry if there is already a thread about this.

We all know that there are different races such as Gorons, Zoras, Rito etc. What if within those races, there were sub races. Here are some of my ideas:

Gorons: They are made out of rock. That's what they eat. Why not have Gorons be based on different kinds of rock? There could be Gorons that are made of igneous rock that live inside the volcano known as death mountain. There could be Gorons that are made out of a gem that live in a gem mine. Maybe there could even be Gorons that are made of sand (although, they wouldn't be as tough).

Zoras: Zoras are fish-like. Why not make different Zora tribes based off of different fish? All that this would do is change their appearance and whether they need fresh or salt water.

Ritos: Ritos are like birds. Lets make some be based off of eagles, hawks, and many other birds.

Those my ideas for something that would be an interesting feature to a future Zelda game. If you like or dislike my idea, or if you have ideas of your own than please tell me.

Re: Sub Races

Hmm...The Hawkrito Tribe...I like that one, I don't know about the other ones though.
Tunazora? Sounds like a Japanes name.
Bluegillzora? Sounds like Godzilla's cousin.
Crystalgoron? No comment.
Rubygoron? Sounds too much like the Goron Ruby.
It's a nice thought though I like Hawkrito because my school mascot is a Hawk.

Re: Sub Races

I never really thought of it like that.. good point.
I guess it could be like that but they have not included anything like a sub race in a Zelda game and i dont think they will.
i dont think they should either... i would be better if they came up with a whole different race rather than just making sub races of the ones we already know.

Re: Sub Races

ZG's right, it would be better.
It'd get annoying and confusing trying to remember who's what and who's who and who's that?

Re: Sub Races

The different sub races might be fighting together. Or a sub race could define where someone lived. Although I think that this idea would just be one of those small fun things that you see sometimes in games.

Re: Sub Races

I think that haveing Rito subraces sounds cool, as they seem more... tribal, the other races. So, rather then subraces, they would be tribes, and they could be at war with each other.

Nice ideas though.

Re: Sub Races

What if there were Penguin Ritos? They could live in a cold place and swim under water. Is this idea too weird? Is it good? It would make there be a group of Ritos that are more like the Zoras.

Re: Sub Races

We already have the difference between Zora and Zola/river Zora. Other ideas sound cool, I'd love to see other sub-races in future Zelda's.

Re: Sub Races

Why should we stop at sub races. There could also have sub races mix together! That would make for some interesting results. There could also be people who are 1/2 Hylian, 1/2 Goron or something. Although Malon might already be 1/2 Gerudo.

It's an interesting idea to say the least. Would something like this happen? Quite possible. When it comes to Gorons (sorry, I must defend my brothers) they are an all around durrable kind. They are heat resistant, and if their teeth alone are strong enough to crunch through rocks, I don't think you'll need anything stronger.

Each race takes over a territory of Hyrule. Adding in "Sand Gorons" and then there may be some confrontation with the Gerudos.

Zoras sorta have a sub-species: Zola (the fire breathing aquatic monsters. They aren't of the same family, but they usually reside in fresh bodies of water) And not to mention, for the Zoras, I don't see a reason for them to have sub species (sorta like alternate evolutions). They are amphibious creatures, whom some (if not all) have evolved how to fly. And then we have the Tokay, possibly some minish, fishmen, Golden Frogs, etc... the list goes on and on for water creatures.

The only "sub race" I can see for Gorons are a darker shade of Gorons that live deep deep within the earth's crust. Where their body is part lava as well.

The main point of my idea is for there to be a new fun feature. If Nintendo ever did use it then I don't really care if it makes Gorons stronger. I agree, Gorons are already tough enough.
