Question Temple of The Sea?

Would it be a good idea to make a temple in the sea in the future Zelda games? Like a temple where the boss is the Lord of the Seas, Leviathan? What do you think?

To all those who don't know who is him:

Leviathan is a majestic sea creature refer to as "sea monster". He coomands the seas and with an enourmus rage, he guards the seas from the evil that wants to lurk in it.

It's just a temple, not the whole game itself so it wouldn't really affect who bought the game.

I think it would be a great idea, Leviathan would have to be under Ganon's control though, unless Leviathan is tricked into thinking you're a threat to the seas.

Re: Temple of The Sea?

I love the idea though Sea temple would be almost the same as water temple? That's my only concern how would it differ from the water temple we see in all of the Zelda games?

Re: Temple of The Sea?

I wouldnt mind a "Sea Temple" although, the bottom part of Tower of Gods in WW had the rising water levels...

but yea it would be cool feature to add to Zelda games.

Re: Temple of The Sea?

So we go from saving the Ocean King, to destroying the Lord of the Sea?

Heh, I bet the Ocean King from PH would be kinda pissed!

Sounds ok to me. Not a whole lot of detail to judge on.

Re: Temple of The Sea?

Leviathan, not. Zelda should have its own monsters.

A Temple in the Sea - yes! But it should be a temple that is completely underwater, among some Atlantis-like ruins. No water level modification, just water all over the place. And lots of seaweed. And treasure chests. Major Rupee-source.

Im referring as to one temple where you fight Leviathan.

It wouldn't be the same. The Water Temple is allways located in Lake Hylia, from my expiriences.

Now plots for Leviathan:

Since Leviathan obeys the Gods, he was forced to follow Ganondorf since he had the power of a God.

Ganondorf tricked Leviathan intothinking that Link was a threat to the seas.

Leviathan is possed by the evil powers of Ganondorf and now he controls the seas.

Loyal Serpent of The Gods
Leviathan

Fooled Beast of The Seas
Leviathan

Ganon's Serperpent Lord Toy
Leviathan

Many titles avaible but depends on the plot Leviathan has been assigned to.

Re: Temple of The Sea?

Yes to the sea temple idea. No to Leviathan, because he wouldn't really fit in with Zelda. He's too... real.

Agreed. Laviathan is too much associated with Final Fantasy for starters. A sea temple would be cool, but lets see how the next games goes. There might not even be temples anymore; who knows.

Re: Temple of The Sea?

I don't know if literally the Leviathan, but I think it would be cool to see them move towards bosses at that scale. Something so big that the battle had to take place outside, and Link had to climb around fighting from on the surface of the creature.

Re: Temple of The Sea?

Thats not such a bad idea....
It wouldn't have to be a leviathan but the idea of a boss like that is still great. I wouldn't really mind what it is, just as long that it turns out cool.

indeed. and perhaps instead of a leviathan it could be a pleasiosaur-type monster inside of something like a gi-hugic domed colloseum without any seats or anything?
sounds pimp to me.

Re: Temple of The Sea?

I've always wanted them to implement a water dungeon that doesn't suck

It's always the stupid water manipulation that ruins it

And then, when you beat the temple, you can join the Jews as they eat the Leviathan. And enjoy some delicious Behemoth, too.
