What if Link had a child......

This would be a game where King Link and Queen Zelda had a child named Jonna. Jonna would have to save his father and mother. He would wear a black cape, and maybe you could make him good or evil? You could chose his destiny.

1) Typical.

2) ZOMG Link has a sexuality!?

why not make Link the prince who has to save the King and Queen of Hyrule?

Could be fun. It would be different from all the other games. Not to say the other games aren't fun, they're fun too.

That sounds pretty horrible. Zelda needs some change, but not that drastic.

Howabout we don't do that becuase numerous people (including me) would be pissed that he ends up with zelda and that you don't play as link.

Why would be people care about that. (im not talking about the playing as Link part i mean the ending up with Zelda)

Anyway i dont like the idea of Link having a child or playing as someone else... it wouldnt be a Zelda game any more......

I have thought of the possibility of Link having a kid, or maybe even be his grandson and Link could tell him of his adventures. Then an evil new character could come and steal Link's soul and his grandson would have to fight to get it back. But who is Grandma? I always liked Link with either Saria or Ilia.

People have many diffrent opinions on who link should end up with.

Almost every game has it's own Link, so ashliezeldagirl's idea doesn't conflict with anyone's preferred pairing. Also, regardless of the names of the royal family, "Link" has always meant the link between the player and the on-screen character, so essentially the Jonna mentioned would be the Link in that hypothetical game.

Yeah... he just pees and eats and sleeps when you turn the gamecube (or Wii) off. MPH....HAHA!!

I would take take the game in which might be made with that happening and stomp on it.

I think the special thing with Zelda games is that there is very little detail in continuty among the titles, making the player's imagination flow through beliefs of what they think happened and freedom of thought.
Doing so would make it kinda flop with the story and make it seem like CD-i all over again
But as Borat says for the greatest first lines in a film: "Jak sie masz? My name-a Borat. I like you. I like sex. Is nice!"

I highly doubt though Nintendo would put ANY implications of sexy-time into Zelda though. And why would I want to play as Link's son? And I would feel let down if I turned this Jonna into a mindless killer, and his father didn't kill him outright himself.

Can't you just drop hints at the possiblity the new "link" is the child/descendant of an old one. And not specifically mention the parents.

That would just be... really odd. And why should his name be Jonna and wear a black cape? :p

Assuming they fall in love and get married and such, yeah I can see that happening and it would be really cute. Don't like the name you chose for the kid though. Id' be something more elegant methinks. Even if its a boy name. Don't matter though.

Well, considering most of the Links are decendants of the Link before them, wouldn't the kid be called Link?

I can't really feel much appeal from this idea. The black cape gives off a bad vibe.

Link and Zelda can't end up together because then the future Links and Zeldas would be related.

I'm fine with a game where you don't play as Link, but Link and Zelda having a kid isn't right.
