Remake of Zelda 2: Adventure of Link

With tons and tons of sidequests added along with making the whole main quest bigger, spectacular and Wiintastic graphics, and battle system more like the Tales Of series. The difficulty would stay the same. What do you think about the general idea?
(I know Zelda 2 isn't very popular, but don't just come and post that the game sucks)

Could be interesting. One thing that I KNOW is a bad idea is using the word "Wiintastic". It kind of sounds like "weentastic".

Re: Remake of Zelda 2: Adventure of Link

I think if they were to remake any Zelda game i would want it to be AoL. All those towns that were in the game would look fantastic with the Wii's graphics! I still would rather Nintendo made a completely new Zelda.

Re: Remake of Zelda 2: Adventure of Link

Chances are they would make a game that imitated it, but then not say it was a remake of anything. Consider how similar OOT is to LTTP. Of course the games are just a bit formulaic, so naturally things will be similar.

Re: Remake of Zelda 2: Adventure of Link

I agree with langford

if they did remake it they would probably change a few things and give it a new name instead of keeping everything and just changing the graphics and making it for different systems.

Re: Remake of Zelda 2: Adventure of Link

I like AOL's hyrule the most, (As in, it is the only Hyrule that can really be called a actual country) A remake with proper graphics and atmosphere effects, sun setting threw the trees, falling leaves and such. I would like to try and keep the BASICS the same, not turn it into something diffrent, but like Langford would work better then a flat out remake (Ive tried making a 2d mock up tones of times).

Also put in a DECENT palace this time...!

Why does everyone want a stupid remake? New games people new games!

I wholeheartedly agree.
If any game were to be remade, I'd want it to be aLttP, but even that would be less exciting then a new game.

What if they didn't remake AoL, but made a new game with the same game play? Same game play, but with new story.

I just prefer to see no remakes in general. Keep the originals w/out remaking them.

Re: Remake of Zelda 2: Adventure of Link

I'd love an Aol remake, but i'd keep it 2d, but with 3d graphics if you know what I mean. Like New Super Mario Bros. The map part would be complete 3d. Also we'd need more explaining of what to do in the game, but don't give away where to go in the dungeons and keep difficulty the same.
