Would anyone like this?

Would anybody like to see a Zelda where something like a war was going on?
Like in the Hyrule Field, there would be Hylian soldiers battling Moblins, people killing eachother, huge fights and just overall more people being involved in the plot rather then just Link battling Ganon and stuff.

Anyone else like this?

Nah, it wouldn't realy feel like a Zelda game.
I do think that the Zelda games need some new ideas, but I don't think that is the way to go.
I'f you are into that stuff, I recomend you to play "the lord of the rings: two towers" for Gamecube.

It would be cool to be in a LOTR scale battle maybe in the end of the game, but the whole game shouldn't be like this.

Or perhaps be in a castle while it's under siege, that would be cool for an opening level.

well , its kinda what they were aming for in the first twilight princess trailer, but it never ended up happening in the game. i think it would make it much more realistic, and why just because it's a battle scene does it make it Lord of the rings. i dont think LotR owns soldier - monster battle scenes. it dosent have to be a big part of the game, maybe just a scene to show how helpless the royal army is against ganondorfs minions...

It would do good for a major plot twist in the game possibly but not during the whole game because I don't think a lot of people can fight over and over.

To adventurer: They already showed a scene where they displayed hylian soldiers being helpless. Remember that scene in TP where Zant captures Zelda in all off 15 seconds? Although technically you ask for one with ganondorf minions...

i guess i was referring more to a battle in a filed, more like you see in lotr or narnia or something like that ...

YES!!! Only put that in the middle of the game. Have a big plot and have link and Zelda get an army to fight Ganon. Have link develop his skills before then.

Yes, put this as a part of the final battle where you have to do some some things then you battle the Main Enemy in the Final battle.

Something like a twist in the middle of the game would be a better idea, because fighting all the time would probably get boring.

It would be a cool twist...don't know how it a twist could come into the story and there will be a war all of a sudden. Maybe Ganondorf (or Ganon) would be dead and the enemies would come together and form an army (sort of like in Adventure of Link with Ganon being dead and like in the cartoon with the enemies banning together) and a lot of people decide to fight against the enemies. But possibly there would be times of silence during the war and rest (even NPCs can't fight forever) and Link and Zelda's side wins then some stuff will happen. Or possibly as a major twist Link's side loses then Link would get captured by the enemies and sacrificed, the enemies using his blood to resurrect Ganon and Hyrule falls under Ganon's piggy grip of doom.

Dude, totally like the idea. I was thinking it was about time that you could finally get some help killing guys that jump you in Hyrule Field. Yeah, with the war there could even be like branching story lines where you have to save a group of people that are being cornered and if you don't the story goes a different way then it would of if you didi save them.
