Multiplayer Zelda Game?

Should there be a multiplayer Zelda game?

I think there would be many benefits to a multiplayer Zelda game.

Obviously, you wouldn't be able to play through the game in multiplayer mode, because Link doesn't have a partner, unless you count Navi, Tatl, or Midna, but there could be multiplayer modes.

Here's how it would work...

You go to a multiplayer screen from the main menu. From there you could select either boss-fight or battle mode. In boss-fight mode, you would fight any boss from the game, with player one as Link and player two as the boss. However, boss-fight mode would be unlockable. You would have to beat the boss in the actual game in single player mode before unlocking it in two-player boss-fight mode. Battle mode would be playable with two to four players. Each player would be Link with a different color of clothing. Not like the Goron and Zora tunics, with different abilities, just different colors. Player one would be green, player two would be red, player three would be blue, and player four would be purple. The battle would be fought in any dungeon from the game, but you would have to have beaten the dungeon in the actual game in one player mode before unlocking it in battle mode. Each player would start out in his own part of the dungeon and try to kill the other players without dying. You could set the battle to end after a certain amount of time or after a player got a certain amount of kills. There could also be different modes within battle mode. There could be three on one fights, king of the hill games, and capture the flag. The possibilities are endless.

If you have any ideas for a multiplayer Zelda game, post them here!

Re: Multiplayer Zelda Game?

I had the idea for the unltimant Four Swords game for the DS a while ago.

STORY MODE:

Like the Four Swords Adventures, but with the a diffrent story and junk. (Diffrent game, duh)

MULTIPLAYER MODE:
(Local:, or, Wi-Fi: )

Co-op: Like the Four Swords, but with a diffrent story and junk. You know, everyone agree's on what stage to do, then you work together (Or compete) to complete it.

Battle: This is a duke-it-out area. With all sorts of things like tag, capture the flag, and Phantom Hourglass's Force Gem game, this will be an awsome addition.

Story: This can only be done over local, but it is really just like the multi-player from FSA.

I know it's simple, but with Wi-Fi and stuff, the Four Swords was made fot the DS!

well actually, you could play the whole game in co-op mode. player 1 is link and he could have a side-kick, like a Zora he meets in the intro, or a Hyland knight, or even a Goron. heck it could be his cousin! there are limitless possibilities! it would be WAY easier in co-op mode!

Re: Multiplayer Zelda Game?

There might be a way...
Maybe there could be another game with the other Links in a way.You could choose your own for player1.Then if anyone else is wanting to play, then they could choose a different Link.It wouldn't be co-op.I thought that a ceartain Link had the same problem, then in thier dimension, that ceartain Link could be by their self.

That makes sense. There would also be a lot of things you would be able to do in a dungeon in co-op mode. Think of the puzzles and obstacles in single player. Now think what Nintendo would be able to do with dungeons in
co-op.
