Definately. But it should be done in a Spiderman 3/Metroid Prime 3 way. NOT like Shadow Mario.
I had actually thought of this a while ago, how it would be cool if you actually were Dark Link and Link in the same game (possibly at the same time) Playing the hero and villian kinda deal. I think the Dark Link in TP was to prepare us for what is to come.

Well he was already the Major Villain of a game, Zelda 2. As for him being one in a new game? Not by himself, though, but as a part of a group like in Zelda 2. I prefer my villains with some kind of thought.

Dark Link is cool and all, but he is a very flat character. If he had a personality of his own, instead of being a dark reflection of Link, he could be a main villain.

Plus: Shadow Link > Dark Link
