What about Dark Link?

What happened with Dark Link? He makes only a few apperances in a few LoZ games. Dark Link is Like Links dark side, why does link rarley have to fight it? Dark Link is one of my charactures. So what do you think about Dark Link? Should he make more apperances? Should he never be in another Zelda game again? Do you think he's cool or stupid? Do you think we should one day be able to play as him? (yes I do)

Sorry if this seems stupid or pointless, I'm bored and it's past midnight here. I honastly have nothing else to do, none of my subscribed threads have any new posts.

Hmm, I think it'd be very cool to see him make more appearances, and as you said, be able to play as him.

If they would incorporate it in a way that allows you to play as him in a temple that requires his "dark" abilities, then it could be a really interesting addition.

Yes he should definitely make more appearances, and playing as him would be awesome.

still a little unsure whether or not he should be playable though. He always has a kind of Mini Boss role. Don't really see why a mini boss would need to do anything, Link is on his way, spose he could run to met Link, how come Link has to go into the stinking temple/dungeon everytime, why can't the baddies come to Link for once?

Yea I agree, Dark Link is awesome, they should include him in the storyline(hopefully for future zelda).

YES, bring back dark link. I would love to fight him again like the duel in the Water temple.

Forgive my ignorance...what games other than OoT does Dark Link appear in? TP? I havn't played that yet...

But yeah, I've always thought he was one of the coolest characters in OoT, I'd love to see him return in another game. I also think playing as him could be quite a cool idea. It wouldn't be the first time playing as a character or creature other than link - masks in MM (although I guess that's still Link), Medli and Makar in WW, Gongoron in PH.
Actually, wouldn't it be cool if you had to work with Dark Link in a temple? Switching between him and Link to do different parts, using the different abilites of each.

Dark Link is the final boss in AoL, although back then he was called Link's Shadow. He is also the character model for the interlopers for a cutscene in TP, but is not actually a character in the game.

It would be cool to bring back Dark Link. It would also be cool to play as him. They could do something similar to what the did in Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door, where he steals your identity and everyone thinks he's Link. Then you would have to find a way to defeat him to get your identity back.

Dark link needs to have more info told about him. I always thought he was just a creation of Ganondorf sent to kill Link.

Now that is a cool idea, you'd be a kind of fugitive. A bit like LttP when everyone thinks you kidnapped the Princess.

I like the fact that you don't really know much about him, it makes him mysterious. Maybe he is actually Link's dark side, rather than an entirely seperate person. After all, Link can't be courageous and righteous all the time, can he?

They could do kind of like a Spiderman 3 thing. Dark Link is Venom and Link is Peter Parker/Spiderman. You could transform into Dark Link, but you would have to be careful, or the change would become permanent.

Dark Link needs to be brought back in a huge way.

How about if you track down the main villain (don't care who it is) a short way into the game, have a quick scrap, then he summons/creates Dark Link and buggers off. You then fight Dark Link, lose epically, and spend most of the game fleeing him in a sort of Dahaka-esque manner until you obtain a weapon awesome enough to kick his ass.

Beginning to sound a little like TP though? Transforming into a different form and stuff...But a cool idea. Maybe you could choose your path, gradually become more evil if you want to go that way. Although I guess this is kind of moving away from the whole point in Zelda

Not really, it is one of the shorter Zelda's. However, it is not THE shortest.
