Fierce Deity-a return?

Do you think that the Fierce Deity mask should make a reappearence in future Zelda games? If it does not reappear, it is an insult to Majora's Mask and shows that Nintendo do not wish to put some serious importance and story into a great item.

I believe that the mask should return, as it needs a purpose, or it would just be a normal mask, not the mysterious, powerful, historical mask we believe it is.

I don't think it was a good mask it was a cheap way to beat the last boss in MM. Sure FD looked cool but it seemed like a bit of a cheat and what really would it do for a new game anyway? So to sum that up, no I don't think it should return.

Yes but not as a mask, I felt that the final battle of TP should have had LInk turn into fierce diety.

They need a new Zelda game with Termina back. In this game there should be a explanation, or history, of this mask, but i don't think that the mask itself in a future game is a good idea. It was so cheap!

The game should revovle around the game, people will already know what it does before the game starts, but you have to go from temple to temple sealing evil and getting the masks power back. so by the time you have to fight the final boss you can use the mask, without it you die for sure, without it..well you can't get to the boss without it so yeah or perhaps they bring the dark realm back and the mask stops the effect of it.. lol

Maybe if Nintedo cut off some of the FD's power then it will not be as stroung but still helpful....I can not think of any ways it is helpful without it being ''like a cheat''. But there are ways....I just can not think of them at the moment.

I had an idea for the beginning of a new Zelda game where the spirit from Majora's Mask followed Link back into Hyrule. The back story was:

The 4 giants from Termina destroyed the Fierce Deity's Mask, it's job being completed in destroying Majora, and to save the world from it's great power. But, the spirit of Majora escaped into Hyrule, beyond the giants' powers, therefore, they did not know that it was still a threat. So I have an idea where the FD mask plays a part in the story, but doesn't have an active role in the game.

Unless it's in Termina with a backstory, it shouldn't return. I didn't like it very much. It made the bosses to easy and took the satisfaction out of beating them. I really only got it for the sake of getting everything.

I agree that it shouldn't come back (unless completely reworked) because it was waaaaaaaaay to powerful. I played on an emulator trying to turn 4 arrows into an analog stick and was able to beat bosses very easily.

Although, there are more theories in the theorizing forum. I think I counted three before I finally found that one, and there were many more pages afterwards.

Since, it was never said directly in the game, nobody can define what either the Fierce Deity or Majora are. There are theories, but we can't test a video game theory now can we...

I think that the masks shouldn't come back. The Majora's Mask did a good job in including masks in the game, and I think another game that involves the same masks would ruin the game. Maybe, just maybe in a future game Fierce Deity would return in another way. But hopefully not in mask form. Masks, in my opinion, are solely Majora's Mask's copyright. Even if the games were made by the same company. Do you get what I'm saying?

Maybe it was a person who was possessed by majoras mask but he couldnt take it off so a person played the song of healing and two masks were born?

I think Majora and Ganon work better as their own villains not togther that would just be making them more powerful when they both are a powerful as they need to be. Also they are totally different types of villain Ganon is a Dictator type king slash beast. Whereas Majora has the insane type of evil and doesn't want to take over the world but just distroy it.

I love MM, but the Mask finally lost its power, the evil that was sealed inside it left, for good. The masks tale, however grisally it probably was is pretty much over. I can't see much of a reason for it to come back. As for explaination I felt the game gave enough, with leaving leway for discussions. It was a mask used by a ancient tribe for hexing, and like the other 3 masks I suspect it and the feice diety was ment to be taken as the same, creatures who died and was sealed in a mask, albut those last two was far more powerful then the other 3.

I heard about that too. Though it could be a joke, because I never heard anything about it since late 2006 (except the same article popping up on forums, not only including this one).
