The Legend of Zelda: The Three Progenies

I had a clever idea for a new Zelda idea, I don't know if it has been already though of. I envisioned a game where you play as Link through the game, classic Zelda forumula, but when you beat the game you will unlock the same story, but from the perspective of Zelda, who goes through her own quest. After you complete Zelda's perspective, you unlock Ganondorf's. This will add a whole new layer of depth to the classic Zelda forumula.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Three Progenies

Um, it's not really a good idea because then the game will have to be really short to fit two games on the one disc. Unless they made it a two-disc game.

It would probably cost more too. Most people only beat a game once and then never pick it up again, or pick it up a year later.

This would just be for the hardcore Zelda gamer and even then, there's not many of us around.

Sorry, but it's a no for me, and a no for a lot of people who share the same opinions as me and it's a no definitely for Nintendo.

Why would u first play as Link who is trying to save the world so then you later can play as Ganondorf to destroy it ?

No, it all takes place during the same quest. As Ganondorf you are doing your own quest while a CPU Link does his. It just shows a different perspective.

I get it, it's a bit like RE4 where you can play as Ada.

I think it's a nice idea, and size isn't such a big problem as people think. Because it's a lot of the same background in all 3 versions. Still I think it shouldn't be exactly the same. Link's part will be about saving Zelda and defeating Ganondorf, Zelda's part on how she tries to defend the castle and Ganondorf's part on raising his army and getting people under his command. Or a variation on that.

Your opinion is flawed.

Your opinion is flawed.
No, yours is flawed.

I think it's stupid to save the world, so you can play as ganondorf and try to destroy it, then whats the point in saving it in the first place ?

And if you manage to escape as Zelda, then who is Link supposed to save ?

You don't destroy it... You play as Ganondorf before Link starts his quest. And you don't escape as Zelda you defend the castle and ofcourse you fail in it otherwise Link can't rescue her. And besides it's nice to play different aspects of the story, atleast that is what I think.

Maybe. I would give it a try, but I wouldn't expect too much out of it.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Three Progenies

Okay, let me try and clarify my idea.

So, first you play as Link.
Link ----Quest-----> End
Ganondorf-----Quest--->End
Zelda-----Quest----->End

Each of their stories is taking place at the SAME TIME. When you look at OoT, Ganondorf MUST be doing something while you are out questing for medallions and who knows what else, my idea is to capture that in three seperate quests spanning across the same period of time.

Just listen to how stupid that sounds, "You don't escape u defend the castle and fail." ...

Then you say:
"You play as Ganondorf before Link starts his quest"

and changes it to
"So, first you play as Link."
Link ----Quest-----> End
Ganondorf-----Quest--->End
Zelda-----Quest----->End

I think you should put a little more thought to your Idea
