A female villain for the next Zelda game?

As far as I've known, we haven't had any female villains since Veran. Twinrova doesn't count because she wasn't a major villain. There might have been one in PH, but I wouldn't know as I haven't played it yet. Who thinks that the next Zelda villain should be a woman?

Re: A female villain for the next Zelda game?

Yeah, a female villian may be a nice twist. Perhaps a spirit overshadowing Zelda, and in the final fight to liberate Hyrule, Link must kill Zelda aswell...

Or just a new female villian, either works.

Yes, Veran was possibly one of my favorite Zelda villains. It would be a nice change from the generally male dominated evil that most games seem to have.

Yeah I mean Ganondorf, Majora and the others are nice but it would be cool to have a female final boss.

a nice change of pace, yes.

but she would still have to be bad ass. she has to compete with Ganon/Ganondorf and Vaati

Re: A female villain for the next Zelda game?

Seeing as Veran was working for Kotate and Koume, and those witches raised Ganondorf, they should count. Some people like me consider Majora a girl because she sounds like one and Wrath seems to have breasts.

If you exclude Ganon/dorf, you have Dethl, Zant, Onox, and Vaati. then there's Veran, Majora, and Twinrova which are actually two people. Hey, it looks fairly balanced afterall!

Even if you take out Dethl because it's just a nightmare from LA, and say Majora is a thing too, it's still somewhat balanced.

Re: A female villain for the next Zelda game?

when you look at it that way, yes.

but in terms of number of games how many times has the main bad guy been male or female.

seems females are the minority there.

Re: A female villain for the next Zelda game?

You guys will argue for a female villain, but once the main character wants a makeover, all hell breaks loose?!

I though like the idea. I want to lean more toward an alliance between multiple villains, seeing as each one looses on their own...

Yes, that's what I said.

By villain, I mean the main villain of the game, who often is the final boss. Twinrova may have had plenty of involvement in the backstory, but they never did anything major in the game.

Re: A female villain for the next Zelda game?

I really want a female villain as well. I think it would be a nice change but I also think the reason she is a villain should be different like she's doing it because she has to, not to try to get some possesion or take over Hyrule I think if they make a female villain she should be a tragic villain.

A female villain...sounds like a plan. It would be cool!
Maybe Zelda could get a little involved too. Yeah, that would be nice.

Female villain sounds good. What if Ganon had a daughter and raised her to be his 'heir'

Re: A female villain for the next Zelda game?

I think a female antagonist would be great. In PH, there is the pirate Jolene. I'm not sure if she turns good, because I haven't beaten the game yet, but she does attack you occasionally.

Hailan, I suggest you put your post in spoiler tags to avoid a rule infraction. I haven't gotten my hands on PH and I already know something I don't want to know about.

I think she was a bit of an anti villain (or not even that) because she is only attacking you because Linebeck pissed her off.

Majora was devoid of gender. It was the freakin manifestation of evil in the form of a mask!

It'd be awesome to have a female villian...and she would be seducing Link as he fought her!
Let me not get carried away hehe.
