Next game could be a remake of ALTTP

Nintendo Wii ::: Advanced Media Network - Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Super Smash Bros, Wii, Revolution

Quite interesting. Although I have never played A Link to the Past, I know I will play it someday.

So I would like a new concept rather than a remake.

What do ya'll think.

Re: Next game could be a remake of ALTTP

This game means a lot to me, I would really rather stick pins in my eyes than have it remade. You can't beat the original and it's just gonna turn out crap and I'll hate it and I'll hate them for doing it.

Re: Next game could be a remake of ALTTP

1) How valid is this?

2) Could he mean a real remake? Or does he mean like OoT, TWW, TP, where they follow the same gameplay? or does he mean revamp, where he puts new things in?

3) New game over remakes!

Re: Next game could be a remake of ALTTP

1: "I'm actually very interested in what it would be like if we remade that title as a 3D game."
It's an idea/dream of his, nothing is planned or even close to final. There is a chance that perhaps maybe in the future there might be possibly perhaps a remake.

Luckely;

2: Just as interesting, Aonuma gave mention to the next Zelda adventure. Curiously, he stated that the game could sport a different look depending on what works best with the story and gameplay.

Again stating that this is different from the remake. So everyone can quietly go to bed, no problems no remake. Yet.

I hope someone hits him when he actually tries to make the remake.
So even when this source is valid, which is doubtful to say the least, we don't have to worry that much. It's worth more remaking Zelda 1 or 2, these worlds were not only gigantic but could actually improve with a better engine and level design. The dungeons of ALttP were already superb and thus it brings nothing to bring it to 3D.
