What do you think?

I've had a few ideas about new Zelda games recently, and I thought I'd post them and get everyone's thoughts. Here goes!

Older Zeldas should be remade according to the manga

I've never really gotten into manga all that much, but I couldn't resist giving some of the Zelda manga a read. I've read some of the ALttP manga and also some of the OoT manga and while it is fairly different to the actual game, it adds a lot more drama and has a much more interesting story in some instances (for example, in the OoT manga Zelda meets Link in the castle town instead of Malon and they spend the entire day together, and Mido helps Link inside the Deku Tree, and in ALttP Agahnim is given a bit of a backstory).

I think it would be really cool to have all of the elements of the manga and the original combined - and with Wii/ DS controls and graphics they could be even better!

The next Zelda must improve on the Wii's graphics and fully utilize it's capabilities

I love Nintendo and I love the Wii. However, I hate the fact that the Wii's graphics are inferior to that of other 'next-gen' consoles out there. Therefore, I believe that the next Zelda should, in some way, improve the Wii's graphics. The 64 had the Expansion Pak, and I don't see why the Wii couldn't do something like this as well. If nothing else, it would stop people from paying it out all the time.

Can you imagine Zelda with PS3 style capabilities? It would be an incredible experience to play a Zelda game in full HD and the game would be able to be much bigger and better than other games. However, that's not to say I want Zelda to play like a PS3 game. It should be a game which utilizes every possible capability which the Wii can offer. It should have full motion controls - for example, accurate sword swings/ item movements -, and should be for the Wii what OoT was for the 64 and PH was for the DS: it should set the standard and push the console to its limits.

The next Zelda should have multiplayer elements and special features

FS/FSA tried to go multiplayer, and did okay as far as I know, but PH, IMO, nailed it. I thoroughly enjoy the multiplayer mode in PH, and also being rewarded with different treasures if I do well or play with a friend who has the game. The next Wii Zelda should expand on this idea and use the Wii's online capabilities as well.

For example, two or more players could play the game at once, doing different things in different places - or at the same location -, but this would have to be online for it to work. There could be special 'minigames' which could be played alone or multiplayer, like a fighting mode where players could just fight with characters from the game, or a boss replayer, in which players could face off against bosses from the game and older games - they could be remade with better graphics as well.

The gap between OoT & TP should be filled or the timeline explained (at least in part!)

An OoT part 2 would be great. There's a lot of unanswered questions in both OoT and TP which the next game should answer in some way. If not, the game should give a bit of an indication as to where some of the earlier games fit into the timeline. PH started to do this and also explained where the FS saga fits ito everything, but the next Zelda should leave very little doubt in player's minds. It would certainly settle a few debates.

A new cell-shaded game should be made!

As a final point, I'd like to suggest that a future Zelda goes back to the cell-shaded style of graphics, at least for one game. I know I said before that I wanted the next game to have really realistic graphics, but I think it would also be good if, in order to explain something to do with WW/ PH/ TMC/ FS/ FSA, another future game took place in a 3D cell-shaded Hyrule, rather than just a bunch of islands. Vaati and the Four Links in 3D would be awesome!

Well, that's all I'm going to say for now, but let me know what you think and I'll repost some more ideas later!

Or, they could have just made the timeline clearer in the first place...

There are no unasnwered questions between OoT and TP. It's just another Zelda story that takes place sometime after the OoT child-link ending. TWW shows you how everything turned out in the adult-timeline and TP shows you how things turned out in the child-ending.

Also, what do you want cel-shaded graphics for? They are awful and they don't attract people to buy the game at all.
