Another sequel to Wind Waker?

Do you think they'll make one?

I hope so, and I hope it's for the Wii.

I think it's likely they'll make another one because of the way PH ended....but then again, MM and LA ended openly too and we never seen another direct sequel to ALttP or OoT...

Re: Another sequel to Wind Waker?

That's kinda how the new zelda endings leave off, there's always room for a sequel in case developers want to go back to that story. but, i wouldn't count on a sequel for WW, and PH, unless it came to the DS... i think Nintendo likes their new look and feel for zelda on the Wii, and want to use that system for moving the story forward, not going back and continuing an unresolved ending from a previous zelda game.

but, hey, who really knows til it happens or it doesn't?

Re: Another sequel to Wind Waker?

Hmm..I'm thinking this belongs in Future Zelda. *moved*

Yes..I wouldn't mind another sequel to WW at all...Link and Tetra are my favorite Link and Zelda ( other than OoT/MM ) and they have a compelling tale..them discovering "New Hyrule" for instance would be awesome.

Re: Another sequel to Wind Waker?

I wouldn't mind it. There are a lot of unique things they can do with that world, and it would be a shame if they discarded the ocean setting and the art style just because they've done it a couple times. I think it could work well, and the games could act as an interesting diversion to the "realistic" land-based OoT/TP-style fare.

Re: Another sequel to Wind Waker?

^ Yes, I'd like to see that sort of thing...it would make a nice, possibly more lighthearted change from the far more serious TP.

Yeah...the art style and everything is totally different, and you pretty much can't have a direct sequel that comes out 10 years before the game itself

Re: Another sequel to Wind Waker?

I would like that. It seems that the direct sequels to the "major" games (ALTTP-LA, OOT-MM, WW-PH) are really just gaiden. It eould be nice if they expanded upon it.

I'd like to see them found New Hyrule. They could still do so much with that.

Re: Another sequel to Wind Waker?

Yes that would be awesome, I would like if they brought characters both from Windwaker and Phantom Hourglass and expanded on the Wind Waker style sub-series to make it even greater.
