Uncool. Who wants to be evil? Besides, if you played as him he probably could only do 2 or 3 magic spells.

*cough*supersmashbrosmelee*cough* He could be able to get more than a few spells, but I still don't think it's such a good idea.

^Dang, you stole what I was gonna say. Eh, I've played a lot of games where you get to be the enemy, and they worked out great. But for a Zelda game, nah, I can't see it happening and succeeding.

THAT WOULD BE AWESOME I would love a game that was based on the adventures of ganondorf

The story would have been very convoluted- i.e., a larger threat than Ganondorf faces Hyrule and Ganondorf, previously unknown to the current Link and Zelda, must team up with them secretly to save the kingdom he lusts after. A Zelda game where you just destroy the world after would be very, very disappointing. The hard part would be the story, I think. The combat would work, a mix of swords and dark magic. Ganondorf obviously knows how to use a sword, so him using two swords, as he did in The Wind Waker, would be interesting, and the dark magic would have to be handled well. And if you give him the option of turning into Ganon during boss battles via something earnable, I could see that working too.

I guess it just depends how you do it.

Well I dont think the game would be very good as ganondorf but maybe a game where you learned a little more ABOUT ganondorf's past.

Ganondorf? I love Ganondorf and all. He's my favorite video game boss ever, but how would getting to play as him in a Zelda game work? If Ganondorf finally beat Link then what would happen? Hyrule would be completely ruled by him. Then future Zelda games would might be impossible.

I think it be awsome to be Ganondorf! I bet the whole object of the game would be to get the triforce peices, and rule the world! You could have Hyrule soldiers be the baddies, and you'd storm the castle with nothing but the triforce of power to propel you along the way!

It might be cool to be Ganondorf and Link was against you trying to stop you. You would be trying to end the world while link tries to stop you.

I don't think it would work at all. You would need an antagonist which would probable be Link but he has none of the qualities of an antagonist, just as Ganon has none of the qualities of a protagonist. They both would only suite the roles created for them and in this case I really don't think it would work. Plus how would the game end Ganon would get defeated and then it would be like why the hell did I do that, so no I don't think it would be cool.

Anyways I don't think I would enjoy it too much..

If they made something like that it would have to be a game itself, not an addition to another game. Beating the game and saving wherever with Link, then going back and destroying it kinda ruins and destroys your own sense of achievement. I wouldn't do it, personally, but I'm sure there are a lot of people that do.

It would be an interesting twist to see two rivals teaming up to combine the best of each of their powers/strengths to take down something bigger than both of them.

Nah, that wouldn't work since Ganondorf would NEVER work with Link, it ain't in his personality. However if they were both after the same threat without knowing it from eachother than it might be good.

Hmm, I like that too. I think that would work better than the other one, unless they are at each other's throats through half of the game, both get their @%!'s handed to them, then decide to team up...

I think it would be both a good and bad idea.Because you would have to fight link,right?It always happens,so why would you play as him if you're gonna get you're butt kicked?!It would be cool because you could torture everyone you capture and release you're evil side
