Question A more difficult fighting zelda game?

Legend Of Zelda and Adventure of Zelda were two nice difficult zelda games. LinktothePast was had a nice difficulty especially if you did not use any bottles for healing. OOT, Majora's Mask, WindWaker, and Twilight Princess all seemed too easy for the fighting. I was able to beat these games with three hearts only. Most of them without even using a fairy.

It would be nice to get a zelda game again with more difficulty, or at least as an option. For those who beat WindWaker you know there's a second quest. It's practically the same as the first one. It would of been nice if they increased the difficulty of the game for a nice little challenge.

Anyone want to see more difficulty or is it just me?

I like zelda enemies the way they are, but i wouldn't mind better puzzels because they are really getting over used it seems.

Re: A more difficult fighting zelda game?

I wont say that I can beat any Zelda game with only 3 hearts, I do take a lot of damage, but I do find that I rarely ever die which does say to me that the fighting is a little to easy.
I don't want Loz style difficulty, but something between LttP and OOT.

The boss fight with Ganon in TP was awesome. I want to see some more sword on sword action like that.

Re: A more difficult fighting zelda game?

The fighting system for Zelda, that is Z-target with movement centered around moving around the enemy, can stay. I would like to see enemies do more damage.

Also I would like to see more enemies. For instance a bit of TPs empty feeling came, to me, from the lack of enemies in the areas. In the game GUN you have mountain lions and wolves (though that game too suffered from a lack of enemies and stuff) I would like to see more stuff like a ecosystem of some sorts.

Re: A more difficult fighting zelda game?

None of the enemies did enough damage in Twilight Princess. The worst it gets is if you get hit by a Darknut's sword (the large one), which does 1 damage. I think Ganon as a Beast does 1 heart as well, but I'm not sure. Although Wolf Link takes double damage, I still think it should of been higher. That's really my only complaint with the game.

Dunno about the others. Ocarina of Time enemies did a little bit more damage. Majora's Mask... not sure, but Gyorg was pretty brutal. Wind Waker... I don't really remember many details about it. So yeah, maybe there should be stronger attacks in the next.

Re: A more difficult fighting zelda game?

Yeah Zelda enemies need to become harder. I also beat all the games with 3 hearts and I had more difficulty playing the zelda games for nes, snes, and gameboy. Of course the old Zelda games arent 3d so for the Zelda games that are 3d the enemies shouldnt be too predictable and should do more damage.

I don't understand why Nintendo can't just implement two difficutly modes. One normal and one hard. It works great in Metroid, it would be perfect for Zelda.

I agree. Ar at least if they don´t want to split the game experience, they should add more sidequests with varying difficulties, or alternative routes to the ending, one more difficult than the other .

But well, for the figthing subject, Link´s Adventure had a good figthing system, TP had the hidden skills, but the Wii remote opens new possibilities. We´ll see...

That would seriously be nice to see. I full-heartedly agree that most of these monsters are push-overs, total PUSH-OVERS. And not only the enemies you fight throughout the game, but some of the bosses as well. The bosses are pretty intimidating at first, I'll give them that, but once you have their strategy figured out, along with the solution, it just gets too easy.
The difficulty levels would be an improvement, and I'm sure they can find a way to make it fit the Zelda theme. That way you can turn it to normal the first time playing, then turn it to hard all the other times, or however floats your boat.

AT LEAST 10 temples and several sidequests is my idea of a 6/10 on the hard scale

Re: A more difficult fighting zelda game?

Yeah maybe if the bosses werent so difficult. I think you should go to any temple you want but the thing is if your missing something in that temple just stop at the point where u cant do anything else and find an item somewhere or in another temple to help you get by the temple u got stuck on or complete other temples. It would take so much time trying to figure out what you need and you should also obtain new weapons outside of dungeons. Its a giveaway when U see the boss and u get this item in the temple, You obviously know u have to use this new item to defeat the boss. (for example in the Temple of time in TP right when I saw those statues I knew right away without even thinking waht I had to do.) If U get to a boss and are missing an item there should be an alternate way of defeating the boss; there should be an easy way(with the right items and weapons), and a hard way (not as prepared with items and weapons).
