The new Ganon

Like some people I am getting a little tired of having to kill Ganon again and again. Why not give DarkLink some more air-time. It won't be hard to come up with an idea for him. He's gonna be the main enemy in my fanfic. Post your ideas about having any other charecter as the new main enemy old or new.

I do love Ganondorf and think hes as part of the Zelda story as Link is! But that idea of Dark Link is awesome. He was hard to beat and an excellant addition, but I just dont know if he would be that good a villain.. it would be like Super Mario Sunshine again. Although Maybe he could also have the triforce of courage for whatever reason :S and maybe the dark master sword that is goods bane i would like to see a new villain but it would have to be better than Ganondorf which would be very hard.. hes scary and big and his evil laugh is great. Maybe they could just change him some more? Lol maybe he became good and joined forces with link rofl. I had a little idea for a story, involving Ganondorf.. he and his army of like thousands came to Hyrule from another land to take over.. they break through the forces and enter the castle and then slay the king, Ganondorf taking his head and riding into the town and declaring he is now the king. Sort of a cliche. But there would more to it. I shall have to think about it

I could see people complaining about Dark Link becoming boring should he be used too much. I personally don't mind Ganondorf being in so many games, but they could at least try some different... ideas? Maybe not make it so obvious he'll be in the game, or a different way of fighting him in the end, I dunno, just something new, with an old villain.

well you cant make everyone happy. well they kind of tried the obvious thing with TP, you start off thinking that Zants gonna be the guy you kill in the end but then you find it its all down to the work of Ganondorf again! I do like the old enemy idea though.

What about an enemy who also comes from the forest. Guess that was sort of already done with skull kid. They could just make some huge evil guy from the forest, but in the evil side of the forest.. and theres a wall or shield of some sort stopping anything from getting through but somehow he manages it and destroys the little village, and links family, but they hide him somewhere or send him off somehow and he grows up and wants revenge.. :O

I agree that Dark-Link should get to be the end boss in a future Zelda game because in most, Ganondorf has taken up being the last boss and frankly, I'm geting tired seeing different versions of the same person, killing him over and over again. So maybe the game designers might want to give Ganon a rest and put Dark-Link or maybe Vaati back into last boss spot.

I agree Ganon/dorf deserves a little break (although they needn't take him out for good). I think a good main villain would be someone like Dark Link. Of course, they only game I've gone against Dark Link in was FSA, but he still seems like a suitable villain for the job, doesn't he?

I certainly agree with what you just said

Uh, Dark Link isn't in FSA. That's Shadow Link. Dark Link is in OoT.

Anyway, Ganon does need a break. They need to bring Vaati back in a 3D Zelda game. He's a better villain anyway, in my opinion.

I thought Shadow Link was in OoT (you know, considering how Link's shadow gets stripped from him at the tree) and Dark Link was in FSA.
But whatever, it's almost the same thing anyway, and I've played both games.

Zant had potential to be a cool villian. Well for the first half of the game anyways, until we found out he was one of Ganondorf's pawns and he started dancing like it was the 1980s all over again.

The title got me thinking, what would it be like if Ganon got a new body? Would that count as a new villain?

That's sorta been done before (anybody recall Agahimn in ALttP?). But doing it again? It wouldn't hurt (considering they've repeated Ganon's death soo many times).

I like the idea of Dark/Shadow Link. He was the main villain in AoL, a challenge in OoT, and was the returning villain in FSA, so I say "Why not make him a random villain?". Here's what I'm thinking:

In PH you get spontanious battles with a pirate from time to time. Why not have spontanious battles with Dark Link? His mission will be to stop/hinder you, and the fights can take place pretty much anywhere (in towns, on the world map, or even in dungeons. But never inside somebody's house). Different locations mean different ways of killing him. Naturally he should have all the weapons/items you have, but not only to block with exactly what you're using, it's to use it at his advantage too.

I do like that idea! they could work as a team to defeat Link. One being the main villain and the other his right hand man. Or maybe they could both be right hand men for another villain. Who has summoned these 2 to take control of the triforce. or something else

Well, Ganon did use Dark Link to do his dirty work in FSA. Or Shadow Link, if you believe they are actually different minions. Shadow Link was kind of a right hand man, since he played such a big role in Ganon's plan.

I believe they are separate minions, however, they could still possibly be the same. I do like the idea of Dark/Shadow Link becoming the main villain, but what if he and Vaati team up? That would be cool. Vaati was much better than Ganondorf/Ganon, plus both Vaati and Dark/Shadow Link seem to have a much darker theme to them. I think they would make the best team.

Agahimn was possessed by Ganon. I'm talking about what would happen if Ganon's current body was destroyed once and for all, causing his spirit to create a whole new body to continue his reign of terror. Now THAT would be awesome.

I dont know for sure, since I havnt played alttp a while, but I think it was stated in the game that aganhim was the alterego of ganon, that they are the same person

I think that they should at least create a new villian, i mean, ya gandorf is gettin realy old . he's been here since Oot.
