Is this video for real. Futureistic zelda.

I think it would be intersting if they really did make a fututistic Zelda like that, but I think new players would like it more then old fans. That's how I see it. I would still buy and play the game cause it still id Zelda and it looked really neat but it would just be so weird like it was a completely new game series and not part of Zelda. I think it is possible that they might make a game like that though.

Game developers are always looking for ways to change and better a game series right? Like FF. They have so many different things to it, they could always decide to put stuff like that into a Zelda and see how people like. They use Hyrule so much that they need to change the game, make new lands, or make a new Hyrule altogether, but I'm not really sure how Zelda in the future like that video would go over until they made a Zelda like that.

I think Nintendo could pull off a futuristic zelda game if they tried, I haven't really played the first few but like how Final Fantasy (I think) started of with a midival type setting to a machinery type setting (FF7 and on). Don't know if it'd work but if done right I think it'd be a great game.

Yeah that was an april fools joke on a site called Wii TV.com or something like that. I would get it, because its Zelda of course, even if I wouldnt like it.

are you serious...... A true Zelda fan sticks to the zelda series no matter what even through things like Adventures of Zelda. True Zelda fans will love this game just because its zelda. So i ask you can you say your a ture zelda fan when you say you wont buy one just because of change. You people make me sick.

Anyhoo, it would be possible to make a steampunk Zelda, it would still be within reason, horses, swords and monarchal government structures could still believably be in use, and BTW futuristic Zelda doesn't necessarily mean lightsabers and flying segway scooters like the majority opinion is, I feel it may work if executed properly, but as a standalone game, not the general trend of the series from that point.

I don't think you understood me, I never said I wanted changes. I'm tired of people throwing this "True Zelda fan" bull**** around, so why don't you just not talk. I've been playing for a vast majority of the years I have been alive, but even if I had just started playing, I would still be a Zelda Fan. So all of you need to stop acting like you have the authority to label people as "True Zelda Fans"

I think it could be real or purhaps not.if it is real then I really don't think that it will come in 2008 otherwise they would have mention someting about in nintendo magazine.

April Fools though it may be, it sure would be interesting if Nintendo ever went with the idea. I mean, it's been implied that Hyrule or the other assorted locations are not completely devoid of technology, especially in Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass. So the eventual, logical step would be that these places would eventually develop some new gadgets.

The real trick would be to preserve the fantasy flavor of the whole thing.

Or heck, you could all just go play Phantasy Star Universe. *snicker* Stars a blue-eyed hero in green who goes off constantly to save a princess with a holy power blah blah blah...
