A game where you actually play as Zelda

I think it would be fun if you played a Zelda game as Zelda. It could be like a remake of OoT where you playas Zelda and then Sheik when you go to the future. Impa could train you to be a sheika and after that you go help Link out.

Overall, I think a game where you could co-operatively use both Link and Zelda might be a better option. Like Kafei and Link in MM, where Kafei took on the puzzles and Link the fighting...It would work very well, because Link and Zelda's gifts compliment each other.
I can see people complaining about a Zelda game without Link if not. ( Though I wouldn't, Zelda is a hero in her own right too )
I do agree a solo title with OoT Zelda's 7 years would be great...if they do want to give Zelda her own title, that would be the way to do it. That particular Zelda has a massive amount of unused potential, and she demonstrated real and significant growth from her child to Adult form..a game focusing on her growth, and her journey while Link was out of the picture would be awesome. "The journey" is a key aspect of Link's adventure...it would work for Zelda too, just differently.

You took the words right out of my mouth, I'm speachless. It would be cool to see What Sheik skills and Zelda's magic can do.

There was a game like that. Two, in fact: Zelda's Adventure and Zelda: Wand of Gamelon. Both were horrible. I think gliderpilotgirl's idea would work in practice, but who knows...

Zelda being playable had nothing to do it. It was the fault of Phillips having no talent in making games.

Yup Couldn't have said it better my self.

Playing as Zelda is obviously a bad idea, that isn't simply because Zelda's character isn't suited for a game. Jesus, God, she's a Princess. It is always supposed to be the Legendary Hero with the unpwnable blade to be the main character.

she might be a princess but when it comes down to i women are better than men so there. and you forget about her being sheik. She probably did alot during the times you don't see her. besides my sig expresses my opinion about link being the hero

The second part, where you could play as Sheik would be interesting, but what could you do in the first part of the game? Zelda mostly stays in the castle.

The CD i Zeldas have you play as Zelda, thier gameplay, sound, and grafics make Super Man 64 look good, so unless you happen to go blind and deaf, I suggest you don't try to play them (doing so before becoming blind and deaf will make you blind and deaf, but in a much more pianful way).

Wand of Gamelon, maybe. But Zelda's Adventure was pretty good.

thats all you know. how do we know she didn't leave to find stuff and came back and hid the stuff around hyrule. besides there could be stealth missions where you hav to figure out what ganondorfs up to.

I am not blind and deaf! Zelda's Adventure was a good game. The graphics were not bad, in fact, they used digitized motion capture technology. And the gameplay is classic Zelda.
