A game where you actually play as Zelda

i saw the title of this thread and one word instantly popped into my head

NEVAR!
nuff said.

How about a game with just Zelda, like her story in OoT, because if we do the OoT time period the only co-op part could be the end and Zelda diddnt do anything besides open doors.

yes there should be a game like that but not the oot part it should be zloz

I dont think you playing as Zelda would be a good idea. But having Zelda fight with you, with a sword would be good, shame we never got to see her actually fighting with her sword in Twilight Princess. I imagine she would be quite good with one.

This is likly thing to happen one day, since TP is supposedly the last traditional Zelda, so would Zelda being the main charicter be a big of enuf change?

People would complain that it was too similar to Ocarina of TIme.

In Paper Mario, you play as both Mario and Peach to show the different point of views, Mario's being how hard it is to save Peach and Peach's being her underhanded schemes to send messages to Mario and foil her captors from the inside out. It was really interesting to play as both of the characters, and while I preferred playing as Mario, it made the game special. I think it would be really interesting to do that sort of thing with the Zelda games.

^ They did this in Star Fox Adventures on Gamecube where you start off playing as Krystal (a female blue fox) where you explore a temple and later on get captured. After the small movie, you start off properly playing as Fox on foot wondering around a vast, prehistoric wilderness of dinosaurs that can talk and have built massive temples, similar to that of Dinotopia.

I wouldn't mind if they did this kind of thing to a Zelda game where you play off as Zelda and then transfer to Link. I mean, they do have connections to each other and everything.

They tried with cd-i. They failed. They won't try it again. I can promise you that.

I just cant believe that Tingle got a game before Zelda did.

Playing as Zelda would be cool, but only in the final battle. No other time though, it would ruin the game completely. Zelda has always been about playing as Link. It should stay like that.

Well, loads of stuf must have bean happening in the 7 year time period from when Link was locked away to when he was released, that is the time were a game were you play as zelda would be best.

You can see Hyrule forces fall to ganon (or prevent them maybe)

OoT hyrule gets a graphics update.

Charicters from OoT are back, Malon for example, and Ruto (I dont know how they would get away with Ruto with modern graphics )

We might get to see soldiers of Hyrule actualy do something.

I think it could work, but a game where you played as both Zelda and Link would be best in my opinion.
For example, in some parts of the game, Link and Zelda are doing two entirely different things, but both are highly important. Let us say, for example, that they are each doing a different dungeon.
Playing as Link, you do a while of the dungeon. Then, you reach a large door with a symbol. The floor has fallen out and you have nowhere else to go. There's a short cutscene where Link walks up to the door, and opens it. Then you hear the door slam and see Link look around. Bars fall over the door, and Link does his look-over-the-shoulder thing. Then he looks right into the room, and his expression becomes a look of fear...
Switch to Zelda, who is doing an entirely different sort of dungeon. Play for a while. Cliffhanger. Switch back to Link. Et cetera.
But in other parts, they would be working together, and you would have to switch between to two frequently. Some puzzles would require Zelda's powers, and others would need Link's skills. Maybe you could use the Triforce of Wisdom, which would take magic but would make clues to the puzzles sparkle, or be highlighted, or something. Sort of like the Bulblin with the key near Arbiter's Grounds sparkles.

Link is way better and I don't think they would do this. Zelda is a princess who needs to be saved by someone else, thats the way it is and thats the way it should stay.

I do not necessarily agree that Link is way better, but I alos think it's unlikely Nintendo would do it. Since LOZ, Zelda games have all followed the Zelda formula, which is that Zelda is held prisoner by Ganon, and Link has to save her. Since it has worked so well, I doubt Nintendo will change it. This is just one way that people consider as how the new games are different from all others.

Sawwy Hylian Princess. Well I still think Links better but I respect your opinion. I agree, Nintendo probably wont do this, but its a though, I guess. Oh and I like your sig, very pretty!
