A General Idea of a Perfect Zelda Game
1. First things first. We want originality, but we want it without taking out traditions, like fire and forest based temples, but why not just spice them up a little?
Forest Temple = Jungle Temple- Same idea as a forest temple, we still have cannibal plants and trees. But what we have now is animals. We had them before, just we have more vicious. Lions, tigers, and bears. (Oh My) Fire Temple = Underworld- Again, we still have big centipedes and lava giesers. It could take place in the middle of the earth. And usually in every zelda game you get there via volcano. "Underworld" sounds scarier and more badass. 2. Gameplay length. OoT and TP gave us that. But again, they weren't the longest game we've ever played. Most of a zelda games length was in their dungeons. So we should make the most dungeons in this game. But we should also lengthen and add side quests. A Triforce Hunt- This one should be funner than the WW's triforce hunt. And we should gather all 3 peices of the triforce and actually get to use and behold it. 3. 2nd, 3rd, and 4th play throughs. You know how you've read a book and it give you choices in which if you want 'this' go to page 34 and if you want 'that' go to page 87? Same concept with this game. You should be able to choose HOW you want to save Hyrule. And when you are sad that this long game is over, you can play it again with different side quests and dungeons so it still has the same feel but it is almost a different game. 4. Another thing I would like is transportation. Epona is a staple, but she doesn't need to be the ONLY source of departure. You should be able to go across seas to find other civilizations (yes the overworld will be that big) with using a boat (not a wimpy boat like KoRL) a sailboat that is big enough to walk around and do things while you wait to get there. Another form is the air, of course Link wouldn't use a plane. He needs something that is midevil, how about his own dragon? A dragon he may have saved in a dungeon/sidequest 5. A weather system would be cool. We may have rain here and there, but sometimes a little snow or sleet (hail?) would be nice to see. A nice autum setting with leaves falling and all that. What do you all think?

1. Cool, Have like a diffrent varity. But what about the water temple?
2. Yes length would be good, but not lenghth like running across the world to another place but minigames adn sidequests! 3. I wonder if you could choose the evil side and kill Zelda ![]() 4. Mabey makeshift wings from birds feathers and fly? 5. Would hail hurt?

Yeah, I like it. But for the transportation in the air, maybe not a dragon, but a bird? We got a bird creature in TP. Maybe this time, there should be a real bird. Not some Kaepora Gaebora, though. This has to be a large bird able to carry Link around.
Or maybe he should have a Pegasus? That's a flying horse. Maybe Epona should gain wings somehow. XD Personally, I favor the Pegasus idea. It could work, after all a Pegasus was featured in the Zelda cartoon (which was crap) and it seemed to fit in. Maybe it will fit in a game too. And what about the traditional Water Temple? It should also have some originality to it as well. How about something that combines ice, water, and other water-based things? It could be called the River Temple or something. With occasional icey rooms, strong current waterways, and river-based monsters such as Skullfish, Octoroks, cannibal sea plants, etc. I'm not sure I like the underworld idea, though. It's really really hot in the middle of the earth. Maybe it shouldn't go down that far.

A red tunic would fix the underworld idea.
For the water temple I was thinking about an ocean temple. Yes, I like the ice idea. I would also like that when some sort of water is blocking a passageway, you could use fire arrows to evaporate it and when time runs out it rains back down. There could also be a rain room, but that is as far as I have gotten in the idea

But we already have an ocean temple in MM (Great Bay Temple). We've never had a temple in a river, so that's why River Temple came to my mind.
I also like the idea of a dungeon in the sky coming back. I hated the City in the Sky in TP, but the general idea of a sky temple is cool.

Yeah, it could take place in the clouds or something. using your winged epona to fly to certain places you can't reach?
EDIT: Another idea is at the begining you can create yourself and use that as your link. What do you think about that?

Nooooo. Link is the hero and always should be.
But yeah, using winged Epona to reach the sky temple would be cool. Hey, maybe even entering with winged Epona and using her inside the dungeon would be cool.

I meant that you should be able to pick which features would you want your link to have, not completley remaking another character. He still need to wear the clothes and all that

sounds good to me
although trifoce hunt in WW i found pretty annoying another good thing with adapting link is maybe adding levels of skill etc maybe buy a lot more aswell? different clothes/boots/hats/hairstyles/tattoos etc fable style zelda would be pretty decent IMO

I know I'm going to get screamed at, but I really want to see some personality added to Link. Not just the normal grunts, moans, cries and the occasional smiles. The step to make him talk doesn't need to be made quite yet (although I feel like Nintendo will be doing just that sometime in the future), but I want him to act like he's himself, and not just an extension of the gamer.
And before someone says, "The whole reason that Zelda is so addictive is because you feel like you're in that world. Give Link a personality, and all that goes away." I disagree. There are PLENTY of very addictive games that don't utilize the whole "Link" theory. I think that if the Zelda games continue to be created in a thoughtful, mind-boggling, skill-testing manner, that they will continue to be succesful and, of course, addictive.

If you could choose your tunic style at the beggining, between wind waker style, TP style, OoT style, and OoA/S style. that would be cool. also, choose your own adventure would be awesome. also riding on a fish/sea serpent/whale would be awesome, maybe the zoras could be at the bottom of the ocean instead of in a lake spring. also have a HUGE overworld, and LOTS of sidequests and stories. a customizable house or sommat would be cool too.

I kind of like these ideas... I was thinking for a water temple, there could a way to change the state of the water. For example, you could press a switch and all the water would evaporate, moving it out of the way but making high up doors unreachable. Some could turn the temple to ice, creating stairs, platforms, and other things of ice but blocking off some areas. And of course, a switch for regular water.
Customizing Link could be a good idea, but as long as he remained largely the same. Just a few small changes, like maybe his tunic style, would be enough. I think TP length, maybe a bit longer, would be good for the main quest, but there should be more sidequests to add to the game. They shouldn't all be collecting quests either; MM style ones would be cool. I'm not sure what you mean by multiple playthroughs, but it would be nice to be able to do some dungeons out of order. I think a giant bird would be pretty cool; a way to move around quickly. If there was anotehr sky temple, maybe the boss fight could be against a winged creature from atop your bird, and the arena could be the airspace around the temple. The temple could also be burning or something to add to the atmosphere. |

customization of link would the best idea I have had. but not changing major attributes. Eye/hair color could optional on Link.
And for the final boss: Ganondorf obtains Majoras mask?
