The Legend of Zelda: The Return of the Hero of Time




I think that this new Zelda that I’ve compiled here could be the greatest Zelda game of all time if it was made. This would be the sequel to Twilight Princess. A 2 disc game probably. In this game, Link will already have all of his weapons and shield. This game would end the era of Ganondorf. This game will have lots of features from OOT that the fans will love to death. Link wears his sword on his belt now.

Beginning:
It starts off with Link going back to his home in Ordon Village to live his happy life again. They show Link chilling with his little friends Colin and them realizing how much he cares and loves them. Then we cut to a cut scene of Ganondorf in stone. Ganondorf is dead right now. Zant’s spirit is shown flying and he realizes that he cant go on without Ganondorf and possesses him. Ganondorf comes back alive and overpowers Zant with the Triforce of Power and releases him back out and restores his human form. In this game, Ganondorf looks like how he looks in OOT, not the fat one in TP. Ganon is very angry and almost kills Zant but he begs for forgiveness. Ganon lets him go and Ganon realizes that he can join him and use him as a right hand man. They cut to Hyrule Castle where Princess Zelda and the castle town is back to normal. Ganon charges through the front door with his horse and completely destroys the market. He commands Zant to summon on his shadow beasts from the first game. The shadow beasts kill all the soldiers and Ganon walks right through and Zelda gasps and gets scared. Ganon chokes Zelda by the neck and smiles. We cut back to Ordon Village. At night during a party, a thief comes by and steals all of Links weapons and runs. Link chases him down and gets his weapons back. He lives his normal life more and runs into the BanditKing with the Boar from the first game. Link is shocked and gasps when he sees him, he pulls out his sword and gets ready to fight but he says that he doesn’t want trouble. He informs him of all that’s going on in Hyrule and how the evil king survived. (From here on, GF will stand for Ganondorf.) Link goes back into the village with the BoarKing and everyone is afraid but they realize that he doesn’t want trouble. He explains to everyone that Ganondorf is trying to become king of Hyrule. Link knows that he must do something and goes to his house to grab his hero’s clothes from the first game passed down from the hero of time. Behind him is Ilia. Ilia doesn’t want Link to go and get hurt but Link knows that he must go. Link is shown departing off into Hyrule.

Link is shown riding with the wind as fast as he can on Epona. He arrives at Castle Town just to be shocked with the burning buildings and all the damage. Link goes into Hyrule Castle and confronts Zant and GF, 2 people that he killed already. GF explains to him that he underestimated him last time and that this time, he will die. He powers up the Triforce of Power and goes into battle with Zant. After the fight, Link’s clothes are ripped up and worn and there is blood dripping from his mouth. Link sees Zelda on the ground and Ganon hits him so hard that he flys through the castle door. GF flashes back to OOT to explain what happened when he faced The Hero of Time. Ganon knows that he is a descendant of OOT Link and releases a devastating blast of electrical energy like the big ball of energy that he release sometimes in the final boss fight in OOT. Link is shown sailing through the air and through the forest, hitting trees. Link lands hard and is shown damn near dead laying in the forest. Ganondorf grabs the Master Sword that he drops and says that now he will rule supreme. They show a cutscene of Ganondorf breaking through the Sacred Realm with the Master Sword and unleashing all of the monstrous spirits from OOT. (The fans would go crazy to see them) You can see Morpha and Volvagia and all of them. GF FINALLY takes over Hyrule with an iron fist now that he holds the Triforce of Power and the Master Sword. Zant is by his side. Then a slow and long cutscene is played showing Ganondorf and his minions storming through Zoras Domain, Death Mountain, and everwhere in Hyrule, even showing attacks in slow motion at parts of the cutscene. There are village in Hyrule field that GF soldiers have camped out in as well. All of the inhabitants of Hyrule are put into chains and imprisoned. GF is shown sitting on the throne laughing demonically. Finally Link has failed. They cut back to Link in the forest almost dead and the 3 goddesses voices are talking to Link. They bring him back to consciousness and tell him that GF holds the Master Sword and Triforce of Power. They get angry at Link and yell at him because they know that there is nothing that they can do to save Hyrule because GF has grown too powerful. Link looks down sad and angry at the same time. The goddesses leave and Link goes back to Ordon Village to find that it has been destroyed. He sees the wooden sword that Colin had on the ground and crys. They cut back to the prisoners screaming for help and the shadow beasts and skeleton monsters guarding the cells and cages.

While walking, Link collapses and sees a vision. The vision shows Midna talking to him. Midna tells him that he is miserable and a coward. She says that this isn’t the same Link she remembers. Link wakes up and walks through Ordon and sees a dark figure race thru a window. Behind him, Midna appeared. She is in her human form. Link doesn’t understand how she came back. Midna tells him that the mIrror of twilight was to keep trouble from her world from coming to Links world. Midna says that now that she has the fused shadow and now that she has all of her power, she attained the ability to travel between worlds at will and shift the physical forms of heroes. Midna tells Link that they must do something and Link turns away ashamed. Midna says that the only way fro him to redeem his self was to save Hyrule and help those he loved. Midna tells Link that Lilia was is prison and Link looks shocked. Midna tells Link that all of Hyrule was imprisoned and a cool song plays showing Link draw his sword from his sheath.(the regular sword that he grabs from his room)

The goddesses sense Links courage and aid him despite of their anger at him. The goddesses tell Link that there is no way that she would be able to face Zant and GF alone, and tells Link the story of OOT. She says that Link must travel beyond Hyrule and to other lands to resurrect the Hero of Time. Link travels out of Hyrule on his horse ghost spirits on horses chase after him as he tries to escape. Link slays them and leaves Hyrule to another land in which the player must travel to without cutscenes. Itll just be a whole other place out of Hyrule that the player wouldn’t be used to. Link would have to swim through oceans and climb mountains in real time to get to this land. When Link arrives to this new land he is confronted by pack of Lizalfos. Link battles them all and gets to the place of OOT Links tomb. It is surrounded by light. The goddesses try to awaken him but to no aveil. Midna appears out of Links shadow and gets angry that Link had to travel to this new land for nothing. Link walks away and rides through a field and in the horizon Link notices a figure with shining light behind it. Link cant see because of the sun and light. Midna gasps and realizes that this was the Hero of Time and she finally gets to meet the hero in the legends…………….. When OOT Link arrives in front of TP Link, TP Link gasps. (OOT Link this time around has longer hair and slightly different clothing. He looks fiercer that TP Link and cooler.) Midna notices a flying figure in the air and its Navi. OOT Link frowns at TP Link and Midna becomes afraid. Navi curses them out and cant believe what happened to the land they once loved. They both traveled back to Hyrule and OOT Link gasps and drops to his knees. TP Link looks on with a sad look. Navi tells them that they failed and that they can save Hyrule themselves without their help. Navi asks them where the Master Sword was at and Midna tells them that GF was king and now holds the Master Sword. Navi tells OOT Link that they must get back that swrod or the world is doomed. They saddle Epona and ride away slowly with TP Link in the background looking down sadly. The goddesses voices are heard again. The goddesses tell Link to work with TP Link and restore peace to Hyrule again. The goddesses tell them that there is a war looming between the remaining survivors and GF’s army.
They say that they must regroup with those survivors and work together to save Hyrule. There is one in Zoras Domain, Death Mountain, Pirates Fortress, and the Twilight Realm. Midna is shocked to hear this and the goddesses tell her that GF used Zant to gain access into the Twilight Realm and imprison them as well not too long after she arrived in Hyrule. Midna grows angry. The goddesses bestow onto OOT link the Merge Stone. The goddesses say that with that rod they will be able to fuse together to become one, but the only way to use it is to send its power to the Master Sword. OOT Link(computer generated, but he leads the way incase you get lost) and TP Link ride in real time to Hyrule and to Ganons Castle. Midna says that TP Link must transform back into the wolf to creep into the castle and retrieve the sword. Wolf Link goes into the castle and goes thru many obstacles. He gets captured and imprisoned but uses his wolf senses to escape and get into the throne room. Wolf Link gets the sword while GF is shown climbing up the steps. Wolf Link is caught and GF Yells. Wolf Link crashes thru the window with the sword and escapes. A cutscene is shown of OOT Link, Wolf Link, Midna and Navi running, and GF ordering Zant to find them, kill them, and retrieve the Master Sword. Near a spring, the mrger stones’s power runs thru the Master Sword and TP Link is ordered by the goddesses to stab TP Link to merge. When they merge, they emerge into one being. (He would look cool as **** too. Long hair, ice blue eyes, 2 earrings, more detail on the tunics, fiercer look in the eyes, and stronger attacks and defense.) Cutscenes are shown of GF executing prisoners for no reason.

They proceed with Epona and Midna rides on TP Links horse. As they travel Midna tells them that they must first go to Death Mountain. In the village, Link finds a fire tunic laying in the town shop rubble. They travel thru there and fight up the mountain. Link hears a dragon roaring and he remembers that roar from Volvagia. A cutscene is shown of Volvagia swallowing the greatest Goron warrior in their tribe. Link goes farther up the mountain and into the crater and into a dungeon. Link battles thru the dungeon using all of his weapons and finds Volvagia, a long lost enemy. He defeats him again when he finds the megaton hammer laying on the ground in the dungeon. The Goron warrior gets up after he escapes from Volvagia belly. Midna tells Link that the Goron warrior must have threw it so that it wouldn’t get digested. The volcano erupts and the Goron warrior throws a rock at Link to surf on the lava. They surf down the mountain on the lava and escape. A black substance(kind of like venom in spiderman 3) is shown creeping to Volvagia’a body. Volvagia turns black and dark with lava surrounding him. Link gives the hammer back to the Goron Warrior and they work together to defeat the dragon. The Goron Warrior thanks Link and stays behind to take care of the mountain a little and stop the flow of lava. Midna tells him that there will be a war and they need his help. Link shakes his head to say yes and he tells them that he will regroup with them later.

As they travel to Zoras Domain thru Hyrule Field, a gang of Moblins, Lizalfos, and Evil Eagles attack. Link fights them off and escapes once again to the domain where he finds that it is frozen again. Link knows exactly that an old enemy in Morpha is the cause of this. As Link looks for the great Zora warrior that survived, he is confronted by Morpha. Link defeats it after a great boss battle. The Zora warrior appears bruised up and thanks him. The Zora tells him that his girlfriend is trapped in the temple and he wont help him in the war if he doesn’t help him.(this is a cool Zora that looks better than Mikau and is very stubborn.) He tells Link that he was Mikaus long lost son. Link and the Zora must travel thru the bottom of the ocean to find her but Link cant breathe underwater for a long time. They tell the zora of the legendary hero of time that fused with him and tells him of the merge. He asks if they can merge and Navi wants to give it a try. The merge is successful. The result is a cool looking Zora Link that looks much better than the one from Majoras Mask. They swim in real time to a island in the middle of Zora’s Ocean. They travel thru a long dungeon and fight thru a many mini bosses and obstacles to save the girl. The girl is held captive by the Zora Domain King. His father was possessed by that same evil black substance. Zora Link and King Zora do battle under a waterfall to set a cool scene. Link kills the king and Mikau son weeps for the king and buries him. When they arrive back on land, Zant appears and grabs Midna and disappears. Link and the zora deform and the zora tells him that he will regroup with him after he makes sure that he gets his girl to a safe place.

There is a cutscene showing Midna being dragged thru Ganons castle. She is shocked by the large number of prisoners. In the throne room, GF tells Midna his intentions to kill TP Link and rule forever, but Midna laughs. GF demands to know what is funny and Midna tells him that one from the past has returned and GF is confused. GF demands to know more details or he will kill mother from the twilight realm. Midna reveals that the Hero of Time has returned and GF kills her mother ruthlessly. Midna screams and weeps. Zelda is shown hanging from her arms on ropes. GF yells so hard that the glass windows break and he convinces himself that Midna is lying. Just in case, GF resurrects someone from his past and imprisons Midna in a dark room on an stranded island off the coasts of Zoras ocean with dark energy that causes evil hallucinations. Cutscene ends. Link is riding to the Pirate Fortress to enlist more help and a cutscene cuts. Out of nowhere Dark Link roundhouse kicks Link off of his horse and Link tumbles off of Epona and lands hard. Link looks up and gasps hard. Navi realizes that the evil copy from the past has returned. Link is shocked. (Dark Link looks much cooler and he is now an evil copy of the fused Link) Dark Link draws his sword and they stare each other down around a ring of dark energy. They do battle and Dark Link beats him down in real time and they cut to a cut scene. Dark Link is shown destroying Link and beating him down. Then he disappears in dark smoke. Link gets up and we are back in real time. Link travels to Pirates Fortress and battles a band of pirates that think that Link is a minion of GF. Link defeats them and fights their clan leader pirate. Link defeats her and she offers her aid to the war if he helps with a ship on ship rival pirate battle. Link battles the pirates and fights their male leader on top of a sail like Jack Sparrow fought Davy Jones in Pirates 3 in a sword on sword fight. Link is thrown off into the ocean and is forced to swim back to land where the pirate leader follows. Link is trying to catch his breath and he is about to stab Link when the female pirate clan leader drives her sword into his heart from behind. After the fight. She thanks Link and tells him that she will accompany him when she is ready. The pirates are shown training and making swords. Navi tells Link that the only place left to go is the Twilight Realm, but he doesn’t know how he will get there. He goes back to the desert where he sees the mirror of twilight. Link lifts the Master Sword and light shines thru it and a portal is opened. Link travels to the land of the twilight and sees shadow beasts everywhere. Link fights thru the dungeon and sees the twilight warrior that survived being consumed by shadows. Link runs his fastest in a cutscene to save him but he is too late. Link looks up and Bongo Bongo appears to do battle. Link defeats him and a shadow bird with a twilight demon riding it swoops down and grabs Link. Link and the Twilight demon battle atop the shadow birds massive back to the death. Link stabs the bird in the head and it crashes down to the ground. 10-15 more shadow birds appear and Link grabs onto one and slices the demon off and flies around shooting arrows at the other birds and twilight demons, defeating them. The Twilight warrior grabs on to one bird too. They battle together and kill their 3 demon leaders. Then Dark Link appears again and fights Link and beats him down again. Link slams his fist on the groung in anger. He disappears. The Twilight warrior agrees to help the other world and goes with Link into Hyrule. They travel back to Hyrule together where the zora warrior, the goron warrior, and the pirate leader awaited.

Disc 2
They all travel to other places to get stronger and enlist the aid of other villages. Navi and the great warriors talk about how they will free the prisoners so that they would have an army to lead into battle for Hyrule. They devise a plan and form a party to work together. The goddesses appear and explain to them that the time as come. They explain that they must save Hyrule and slay GF forever. They execute the paln and thru many obstacles and fights in the dungeon including packs and packs of Lizalfos, Moblins, and Ghost Riders. The zora, goron, and pirate warriors fought in cutscenes as Link leaves to save Midna from her trap. They freed the prisoners into Hyrule Field and walk out holding eachother up in a cutscene with bruises and scars. GF is shown telling Princess Zelda that the world that she loved has ended and the world that he loves has begun. Zelda calls GF a fool and that his reign wouldn’t last. GF orders his guard to whip her. GF tells Dark Link that he did well and he was much better than the fool Zant standing next to him. Link battles thru the island and thru many traps to save Midna. Then Link was forced to battle Midna after she was possessed with the evil black substance. Link defeats her magic and saves her. Then the black substance forms into a human form with white eyes and a staff. Link battles him to an epic battle on top of a cliff after it reforms 2 times. Sword vs Staff real time. Link kills it and stabs it with the now glowing Master Sword so that it wouldn’t reform. They travel back to Hyrule Field where Midna uses her magic to teleport Princess Zelda to their location. GF is angry and he tells Zant and Dark Link to prepare for war. When Link sees her he flashes back to when he was a kid in OOT and when he first met her. Princess Zelda rides on her mystical horse that she calls on. Zelda speech: Today is the day that we must stand up for our land. The line has been drawn between good and evil. Today is the day that we say that we wont stand for this anymore. Today we will take back the land that belongs to us. Today we fight for the land that was protected by the hero in the legends so long ago. Link smiles. Hyrule, today, WE FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!! The crowd cheers and Zelda and Link’s horses neigh. Midna asks Zelda if she wants to merge and Link merges them. The Zora and Pirate put their differences aside and merge as well to form a very very very cool looking zora pirate warrior. The Goron looks around and notices that he has to merge with the Twilight warrior who has just returned from gathering more soldiers from lands in Oracle of Seasons. They make a dark black colored goron. Those 4 warriors march and with their armies and Ganondorf marches with his army. Merged Link, MidnZelda, GoroTwilight, and the Pirate Zora march in the middle of the field with their horses against Ganondorf, Dark Link, Zant, and The BoarBandit King. The BanditKing says: “I told you that I will always join the strongest side”. Link frowns. GF: “ So its true, you have returned to kill me again…….I WILL MAKE SURE THAT I KILL YOU THIS TIME AND WIPE YOU OFF THE FACE OF MY WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Link draws his sword and GF and Link both flashback to their final battle. They all ride back and it starts raining hard with thunder. A cutscene shows both armies staredown. Link orders all of Hyrule to charge and GF orders all of his Moblins, Shadow creatures, Lizalfoes, Stalfos, and minions to charge. (VERY VERY GOOD AND EPIC MUSIC WILL PLAY.) They explode into battle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When they clashed the earth trembled!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone is fighting in real time like in the lord of the ring games. Link is fighting Ganondorf in on horseback as everyone else is fighting in real time on the field in a brutal battle. The Zoras throw their fins and the Gorons roll with force. The pirates use their skill to fight with agility. GF and Link clash and they both blow back and start fighting in the war in real time. The player is Link and since he is faster as his merged form the player wont have too much of a problem. The player will fight and kill for about a good 15-20 minutes in realtime( if its not too long, the player will be having too much fun) on a rainy battlefield. Then a cutscene will play showing both armies on the ground mostly dead and unconscious. Now its 4 on 4. Merged Link, MidnZelda, GoroTwilight, and the Pirate Zora vs GF, Dark Link, BoarKing, and Zant.

Goro Twilght is shown fighting the BoarKing in a cutscenes as MidnZelda is fighting Zant in a cutscene as well. Now in realtime we have The Pirate Zora and Merged Link vs Ganondorf and Dark Link. There would be a long cutscene showing them talking. This would allow the player to rest their hands. Then there would be a great battle between them. After about 10 min of fighting, there would be a cutscene of GF and Dark Link getting the upperhand and taking back the Master Sword to merge!!!! GF drops the sword and disappears!!!!! Link picks up his sword and wonders where they are at. Navi tells Link to watch out and Zant comes in and attacks Link. Great epic music will play agin. Link vs Zant. Link beats Zant and MidnZelda use their magic to destroy him forever. Then its Link vs BoarKing. Link kills him as well and shows no mercy because of his betrayal. A cutscene plays and Merged Link merges with Pirate Zora to form the best warrior ever, that would look cooler than any warrior the best artists in the world can draw!!!!LOL. Now Ganondorf fused with Dark Link looks cool as well. They both fly on dragons that they hang on to and do air battle first where they both come cashing down. GF transports Link to a high tower where they do their final battle. This battle will be so epic that all Zelda fans will be left in awe. Music better than the war music Pirates of the Caribbean 3 will be played for this sword on sword fight. A cutscene shows thunder striking the ground around the battle area with rain pouring. The cutscene shows Zelda telling them that this battle is between the Hero of Time and Ganondorf with aid. Stay out. After a very good and epic swordfight, Link backflips onto a cliff with the Zoras jumping abilities and jumps with a downward stab in a cutscene after GF is layed on his back !!!!! In the cutscene Link is shown coming down in with the wind shaking his clothes and hat and then when he draws closer it goes in slow motion and stabs GF right in the heart for the last time. The Master Sword glows in GF’S chest and The Triforce of Power is taken from him as he is finally dead………. Hyrule rejoices as Link collapses…….. OOT Link pays his final goodbyes and rests in peace once again as Midna thanks Link and goes back into her world. Link and Zelda finally kiss and GF is shown dead.



How was it?

One problelm I noticed. Ganondorf cannot touch the Master Sword as it is "The Sword of Evil's Bane". So he couldn't use it. >.< Lol, I'll finish reading the rest later.

I have spotted two problems so far.
First, Ganondorf can't touch the Master Sword, and never will because it is "The Sword of Evil's Bane". Second, Zant really can't come back unless you have a good explaination as to why. Midna shattered the Twilight Mirror, and for that, Zant(if even still alive after TP) is stuck back in the Twilight Realm. But the huge war scene might go good with a Zelda game, IF, it's not the "final" Zelda game, and the war would have to be at the very end of the game.
Other than that, awesome creativity!

I very much like the idea of the Hero of Time returning and taking on Ganondorf...but I'm not sure about TP Link and his crew ( Ilia, Midna etc ) fitting into it: and Zant's battle is with Midna, not Link. I like your ending though.( and the kiss! )

Awesome, I love the whole fusion idea. With the exceptions of the mild inconsistencies the other guys pointed out, this sounds epic.

I liked it. It sound very epic but there a few choppy parts to it. But it was still good. I like the idea of merging but i think it should have some drawbacks. Like maybe they have a dispute over who controls the body and they get into a small fistfight. That would be interesting, don't you think?

I admit it has a couple of flaws and needs tweaking but I also agree that there should be a dispute over who controls the body. Thanks for the replies guys. plz reply more.

Alright, but it seems like you tried to throw everyhting in, and it ended up a disorganized mess. Straighten out some things, and get rid of some of the stuff. You can't have everything there.

Ending is alright, though, personally, I don't think Link and Zelda should kiss, as the PLAYER is Link, and he/she may not have wanted that to happen, and there hasn't been any Link/Zelda romance yet in the series.

Overall, not bad, just needs some stuff tossed and a bit of straightening out. And a bit more of a backstory, as a lot of stuff is left unexplained.

It seemed like you tried to throw every possible element of gameplay into it, but every type of gameplay doesn't necessarily make a good game, cut back on some of that and straighten out the story - righ t now it meanders so you can have all the stuff you want in it.

So what do you suggest be cut out?

Well, the first thing that jumps first to mind would be the whole Zora fusing bit, it seeems that it's mostly there for the "zora mask" element of gameplay (don't get me wrong, I loved that part of MM, it just seems a bit superfluous here).

They both fly on dragons? What are you like six or something? I can see you put alot of time into your story, but you have no strong connections to link to the timeline. And the story is very typical. It's so "OoT." Like Ganondorf comes back, destroys everything, and caputures Zelda. OH NO! I would of never seen that one coming! Start thinking more outside of the box.
