co op in 3d Zelda?

I was thinking about what a Zelda MMO would be like, but then I realized that the whole point of Zelda is comleteing dungeons, so that would be kind of stupid.
But then i thought of clompleteing certain doungeons with a whole party of people, and i remembered four swords already did it...
But does any one else think it would be cool if Nintendo added some special co op dungeons in the next Wii (3d) Zelda?
You would probably still be able to sword fight each other.

It would be extremely fun, but it would take an immense amount of effort on Nintendo's part to actually pull that one off. It probably won't happen, but who knows? If man can think about it, it can be done.

Like Tales of Symphonia? That was an awesome game.

I don't know about co-op, but having a battle mode would be freakin' awesome. Also, it would give you more replay value, as you actually have something to do. Sort of like FSA, except in 3d.

My idea of the battle mode would be four player, and you would each be a different color, or character, or something like that. Anyways. You would then pick a stage, which is enclosed, and you would battle it out. No Z-targeting, no hidden skills, just pure ownage with swords, bombs, arrows, and all manner of Zelda items.

Not if it was just a single player game with a Co-Op in it.

But if Nintendo made a game that was strictly Co-Op made for 2 people to play, theres no doubt in my mind that they could pull it off.

If there was a Zelda Co-Op mode in a Zelda game I would so wait the three hours in line for it. I would think there would be a selection of characters to choose from like Shiek or other species such as Gorons and Zoras.

All multiplayer should stay out of the Zelda series. Zelda is ment to be a single-player epic like Metroid.

That I would say no to. I don't think that co-op on Zelda would be very great. It would take away from the experience, and besides, unless I'm playing something online with someone I don't know, I hate co-op games. Most of them, anyways.

four swords is pretty close to a good co-op LOZ, but its 2D, i would love a 3D version, something like a Co-op OOT or TP.

Are the friend codes incompatible with a massive server? I fail to follow how the friend codes block the possibilities of MMOs.

Personally I would like to see a 3D FS game. Perhaps delve a little more into the minish... Whether on the DS or the Wii, I don't care, so long as co op is possible without needing people to be there physically.

it would be like BGII wouldnt it?, BGII only has TCP/IP for 6 people maximum, no massive servers.

they should have tried to achieve something like this with TP

I have two TVs in one room so my friend and I will pretend we can see eachother on the screen and so I'll follow him where ever he goes... It's fun since both players play.

Try Super Smash Brothers, it's as close as you'll get.

On the topic, I'm not sure about that idea. I haven't played the FS games, so I wouldn't know, but multiplayer Zelda just seems like a weird idea. I like it that there's just one boy against loads of bad guys. Sure it could be fun, having friends around, but still no. And as I don't really have any friends that play, I'd rather not go through the trouble of having to find some.

could it not just be a single player game with online play? hence if you didnt want to play co-op you dont have too? i like these sorts of games better than ones which only have online play (the latter usually come with annoying fees)

I think it's an awesome idea. But I agree with Twilight, if they made a Zelda game co-op, they should make it STRICTLY co-op.
