Hows about a Zelda game that explains the origins of The Fierce Diety?
I've actually been working on that title for months, but it's so detailed that I don't wanna post it. But the main purpose of this title is to explain the origins of The Fierce Diety and Majora's Mask. Here are the origins I had in mind.
1. Majora- Link had a good friend, but he was stabbed and possesed by the Fierce Diety and became Majora. Link wore off the evil from his friend by using artifact called the healing relics, and that evil was sealed away in a mask. 2. The Fierce Diety- The Fierce Diety was born among a race of powerful swordsmen. His dad was part of the race, but his mom, however, was part of a race of wizardry. The Fierce Deity was concieved with his right hand being a skilled swordsman hand and his left being a hand of wizardry. Because of his unique power, the people started getting jealous. This jealousy became so intense that The Fierce Diety was banished. Going on days without food or drinks, he was nearing complete death. But one day, he saw a sillhouette of Ganon, and Ganon helped him recover. Then The Fierce Diety became Ganon's servant. When Link beat The Fierce Diety in a battle, his powers were sealed away in a mask.

It could be an interesting idea but a lot of people like me don't really care much about the past and timelines so your game will be limited but as I said it's an interesting subject/theme.

Re: Hows about a Zelda game that explains the origins of The Fierce Diety?
^My title isn't exactly limited, since I've added alot of twists to it. For example:
Ganon became more powerful than ever because the fierce diety destroyed the ocarina with the oni blade. Because of this, Link has to find artifacts the will make the Gods even more powerful. But these artifacts have been sealed away because it fills the Gods with so much power that they become evil and wreckless. So Link has to collect these artifacts, but at the same time try to avoid/recover the dangers from the gods. He could turn the Gods good again by getting another sort of artifact, but that artifact will only work if he has the other three artifacts that make the gods evil and powerful.

Re: Hows about a Zelda game that explains the origins of The Fierce Diety?
There are plenty of threads about Fierce Deity's origins and Majora's in the theorizing subforum.
However... Ganondorf usually stays in the dimension with Hyrule in it. How does he hitch a ride over to Termina? Certainly that requires either the magic of the Happy Mask Salesman or Majora herself, the only two people who can bop over from Hyrule to Termina without the blink of an eye. Ganondorf can't bop between realms, otherwise he would have released himself from his various imprisonment realms over and over. Would this Link be Terminan or Hyrulean? Also, magic is not very common in Termina at all- only a handful of people have it, let alone entire races. Where does your proposed mother come from? While revisiting Termina would be interesting... I doubt they'll do it for a big Zelda title. Perhaps something like the Oracles? A game set in Termina, perhaps explaining the origins of Termina (complete with Majora's backstory and Fierce Deity's backstory), or a dramatization of Skullkid's backstory. I just feel weird putting a Link (as we know him) in there. Termina is a place Hyrulean Link was tricked into going to, after all- Majora is the first and last time they've ever needed a deus ex machina, which Link is. Because of the setting, and the smaller focus of such a game, I doubt Nintendo would make it. It simply wouldn't be profitable. EDIT: Quote:

Re: Hows about a Zelda game that explains the origins of The Fierce Diety?
I don't think it'd be that great. I don't see why people are so in love with the Fierce Diety or "Oni Link". Yeah it was really fun playing as him but it was only something extra they put in the game for the people that collected all the masks. He wasn't meant to be this great popular mysterious character.
I just say no we don't need the Fierce Diety in any other games. Plus what would it even be about (besides the obvious)? Just seriously I don't see how they could create an epic game out of it. Lastly they need to be focussing on actual Zelda games that contribute to the overall story/theme to it other than all these little side games people keep hoping for. |

....
Do you really think Nintendo are going to make a game about the Fierce Diety? You really think? Are you not capable of seeing that?

Re: Hows about a Zelda game that explains the origins of The Fierce Diety?
My guess is that it was created with the same material as majora's mask. After some guy came and made it.(source of idea:Majora's Mask manga). I'll link it later
As for a game explaining it...I'm not interested.Fierce Deity wasn't really that interesting, when i played majora's mask i had no desire to even wonder about its origins. |

Or maybe he was just born a Demon, since he's called Oni Link by some. |

It would be interesting, but I don't think it would be a good game.
