Who wants 2D Zeldas remade into 3D?

I think it would be interesting to see Link's Awakening or one of the oracles remade into 3d. I'm not suggesting that we should get rid of their original versions or forget them. To fix that Nintendo would have to add a house with a guy who asks you if you would like to play the 2d version (as a separate game on your file).

How about some new Zelda games?
New are always good, not more poorly made remixes.

I actually would like to see this, at leat for the original NES games.
They just did it for Final Fantasy 3, why not with Legend of Zelda?

I like the sound of it. Perhaps a bonus disc somewhere along the way.

I said "not sure". I think ALttP and LA would definately be decent 3D games. I haven't played LOZ or AOL yet but I think they'd be ok as well. I don't think any others besides them should be remade into 3D for 2 reasons. First, the other 2D ones aren't that good (except PH which we've yet to play) and Second, at the time they were made they could've been 3D anyways so it's not like there was a major lack in graphics.

Anyways I just think it'd be nice to see ALttP and LA both in 3D. The worlds, characters, bosses, and everything in those games would be great to see 3D.

I agree that it would be interesting to see them in 3D. However, if Nintendo would do that, a heck of alot of new content needs to be added in order for them to work in 3D. Maybe a couple of true optional dungeons thrown in.

However, this could create alot of backlash. Plenty of fans would accuse Nintendo of milking the franchise more than they currently are, and that would be a problem.

No! We need to stop dredging up the past! More remakes are not the way to go! We need new games! Not old ones brought back from the dead.

like i've always said i love more natural zelda games so they realy should make the games more realistic and in 3d!

The 2D games were made to be 2D, making them 3D would be a complete waste of time. It would seriously ruin them.

I'd rather see a new Zelda game, than one of the old, classic 2D Zelda games absoloutely butchered.

The only 2d game I'd want to see in 3d would be LA.

I've said this before: Ocarina of Time, there's your remake.

TLOZ is so simple that every Zelda game is a remake of it.

I would like to see a remake of AoL, except, not side-scrolling, lot's of towns, levelling, etc. Also, it needs a new storyline.

I'd say sure if they honestly had all the spare time on their hands to do so, but I'd much rather have them be directing their time toward new Zelda games and innovations.

I think this is a definate no.
The games were created, and they must be left as gems of pf the past.
They were brilliant games in their own right and fantastic as 2D games, making them 3D may even ruin them somewhat, besides, Nintendo should honestly be more concerned with creating fresh, new games, rather than keep on ressurecting old ones.
Moreover, all these remakes make the original games feel cheap and used, like Ocarina of Time - the definitive Zelda game, defining moment in 3D gaming and Nintendo/Zelda histroy...ported to Gamecube from the N64 a few years later, then ported to the Wii on the VC a few years after that.
It was a beautiful game - why ruin it with countless ports?

THe only thing I would like to see with the 2D Zeldas are upgrades to GBA/DS standard, like Pokémon Red and Blue on the GB Monochrome were for Pokémon FireRed and LeaGreen for the GBA.

What if instead of a complete remake, they were given remade dungeons with new boss'. They'd still follow the same story but they'd feel like a new game.

ALttP has already been remade into 3D. They called it OoT. I don't want them making the first two games into 3D, because they are too simple. LA might be worth it, but the later 2Ds can stay as they are.

I'd rather they came up with new games, though I do enjoy the Collector's Edition disk that lets me play those games on the Cube.

Dunno. They would be wasting time to create remakes when they could be mking new games, but an extended version of the original in 3D sounds like a cool idea.

There is no need to start tampering around with the old games, we need to look to the future and get fresh new Zelda titles.
