Has anyone thought of a two Part Zelda?

you know sort of like LOTR's. You kill the bad guy and think its over and then BOOM change of scene happens and it was all just a smoke screen, Pt. 2 comes into play but we have to wait for the next game.

Yeah, but we'd have to wait like four years, knowing Zelda...

but, if its a great 2 part video game, part 1 being amazing and part 2 being even better...hype it up (dont over-hype it) the waiting would be worth it and nintendo wins the fans appreciation by making another amazing game, and making it 2 parts gives them cash money for anticipation.

Re: Has anyone thought of a two Part Zelda?

that would be cool, especially if Nintendo was making both games at once, and the second released only a month or two after the first. With memory cards, you could also upload your data from the previous game. I like this idea!

This is kinda sounding like OoA/OoS almost.

I say yeah that would be sweet, but put it in as a handheld so we don't have to wait as long.

If both games were in development at once we wouldn't have to really wait. Make it like the LotR movies, just not a movie...?

The Oracle games are sorta a two part series. After killing the final boss in one game, there's a cut scene with Koume and Kotake saying that the flame of "Sorrow" or "Dispair" (depending on which game) has been lit from sacrificing the boss' body (though it was intended to receive the Oracle's not the boss).

So yes, there has been a two-part Zelda.

i dont count those at 2 part games...i played both of them...they really dont "link" up no pun-intended like i would say a 2 part quest...like i said LOTR's... its broken up into 3 parts of a journey with big climaxes at the end of each movie. the oracles dont really "continue" anything because you start all over with a random new quest. I'm saying make a giant adventure, the first part u think its all over but it was just a smoke screen for what was really going on.

Re: Has anyone thought of a two Part Zelda?

if they do something like both golden sun games it would be something good, release the first, wait a little time and release the second with a feature to have in the second part the equipement, hearts, rupees and hidden skills you had in the first part, i think it could work

Re: Has anyone thought of a two Part Zelda?

NO! I need some closure. I don't want to wait just to finish 1 game. When I but a game, it's so I can clear it from beginning to finish and see how the plot plays out. Especially with Zelda. I'd rather wait for them to just make 1 long game and do that.

But they do continue from each other (when you use the password system).

It's not obviously apparent, and there's no set order, but they are two parts of the same game.

But yeah, it'd be nice to see something like this again.

Re: Has anyone thought of a two Part Zelda?

so what are we talking about here something somewhat along the lines of Diablo or Baldur's Gate, or even Banjo Kazooie.

The first game has a huge climax, but isnt quite the end of the whole story, you need to finish the second one (+ its expansion, in the case of Diablo and BG) to get the true ending of the series (or is it? ....)

sure i could go for that.

Re: Has anyone thought of a two Part Zelda?

I like this idea, but a fault would be some people seeing this as Nintendo trying to fleece people out of cash, practically making them spend £70/$100 on a game and making them feel like they have to buy the sequel, if it were to come out months apart from each other.

If each game is done well so they can stand up as their own individual efforts then I'm all up for it.

Re: Has anyone thought of a two Part Zelda?

it could be a good way for them to keep ganon and also bring in a new evil...like u beat ganon in the first and u go well...of course the game is overwith ganon is always the last boss...and then the true boss shows up and it said "to be continued" after a cutscene and then the gamer will go OMG! THATS AWESOME! because u had no idea that it was a 2 part zelda game, and it brings in a new even more evil boss....would be amazing
