WHAT HAPPENED TO TINGLE'S RPG

Anybody knows if this game is coming out in America??? Haven't heard any news about the game for a while and I think it's a spinoff worth playing, even if you hate Tingle.

If you know something about the game, do you know any release date here in America?

I'm not sure, but I think it was a Japanese exclusive.

If it's exclusif for japanese you think that they sell english versions of the game?
I mean, I'm not going to go all the way to japan for that but maybe somebody will.

English localization
Following an article of Tingle RPG in Nintendo Power, on August 2, 2006, Nintendo of America opened a survey among its members to inquire about their interest for an English version of the game.[1]

On January 4th, 2007, Nintendo of Europe has confirmed an English release in Europe for 2007[2], while Electronic Gaming Magazine confirmed an American release in 2007 in issue 213, early February.[1]

On February 14th, 2007, Official Nintendo Magazine posted the first English review of the title, giving it a 76% and revealing the game would be released in the UK in March 2007, under the name Freshly Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland[3].

However, according to Eiji Aonuma at GDC 2007, Tingle RPG has no scheduled release outside of Japan. [4] Thus, all claims of an English version are currently under scrutiny.

Taken from wikipedia. As you can see, its all up in the air, but I really want it. Not a Tingle fan at all, but the game has interested me.

Isn't Wikipedia not very true at times though? YOu might want to try some other sites to confirm about the scrutiny and such.

Well I accept Wikipedia isn't always correct about in game Zelda details, it is not a canon resource, but I have no reason to doubt their release date information on games, and as it is basically a collection of details disclosed by others eg. Nintendo of Europe and Official Nintendo Magazine, and also from Eiji Aonuma. I have looked in other places, some say it is to be released, some say it hasn't been confirmed for release, which is why I posted what wiki have on the matter, which sums up the inconsistencies.

It seems unlikely that the Tingle RPG will be released in the west, considering the amount of people who would like to brutally murder him.

Not to mention it seems a bit camp. Which would alienate even more potential buyers.

It'd be bad business to release the game outside of Japan, methinks.

Whats Tingle's rpg?

It would be funny if the Tingle RPG turned out to make a massive impact, even on the Zeldas. Though I think Tingle RPG would be good for Nintendo. Taking a character from Zelda and exploring with it. Who knows they might start making some serious RPGs themselves and Zelda too which would be better for us wouldn't it?

Personally I would really like to see a release over here, I know I wouldn't hesitate in buying it! No, no, I am not some idiotic Tingle fanatic, in fact I dislike him as much as others, but just because he isn't a popular character in the west, doesn't mean this game is going to be a bad one. I do not doubt Nintendo will make this an enjoyable game. Perhaps this could be a little gem to change our opinions about Tingle? Though I admit thats abit of a stretch.....

At first, me and my friends really thought it was going to be gay, but now we really want it because we can't have it! I want it to come out so bad...Well anyway, maybe I'll just get my Jap friend to translate the entire game for me, because he has it.

I don't know. I sort of cringed when I heard about it being made. I am sure he is a bigger hit over in Japan than he is here. But I suppose it does need to at least be available over here.

Nintendo has stated in the past that they want to bring as many DS titles into English as possible. So I would not count it out just yet. Plus, some people might try to get kicks out of torturing Tingle in the game (Nintendo might want to include that as a mini-game section, just to boost sales).

I wish Tingle RPG was in English, I'd definitely buy it, I like how it looks, even if I hate Tingle with a passion.
