More Zelda on Wii

So what does everyone here on ZU think about Zelda being on the Wii? Do you think that any other Zelda games should be compatible with the Wii remote, and nunchuck. Like playing Ocarina of Time with Wii aiming system. I think it would be rather interesting to play the older games with the Wii capabilities. I found it hard to accurately hit my target, using the aiming for the Gamecube. The Wii's aiming you just point and release. You could also be able to slash instead of button mashing.

I think that this would be a good reproduction of the older Zelda games, because it may form to people's liking, like Twilight Princess did. Nintendo would possibly even sell more older Zelda games. Tell me what you think.

They should put the CD-i Zelda's on the VC.

Um, yeah, the Wii Zelda should be good. They better put it to it's full potential and not hold back.

I'd like to play OoT with the Wii remote.

After playing that game so many times anything new would be nice.

HERETIC!

I say put all the good preGC zledas on the VC (which it looks like they are).

Re: More Zelda on Wii

I think the N64 Zelda games should be released on the VC in two forms, original and with a wii control scheme. I might purchase OOT on that if they released a version mapped to the wii.

Re: More Zelda on Wii

seems like games are leaning towards remote only. future LOZ games on the wii will definitely use the remote, but im unsure as to whether they will still use the controller, i heard TP might be the last one to use it.

WW would be easy with Wii remote pointing. Puppet Ganon in his Moldorm form? Remember how hard it was to aim? Remember how easy it was in TP?

Ooo! How exciting to think about WW or OoT mapped to Wii controls! Does anyone know if Nintendo has any official/unofficial announcement that this might happen? If yes, then I'll hold back my plans to buy GC/classic controllers just yet.

Dude...the whole point of the Virtual Console is to make some extra cash without doing anything. Very little effort is necessary to reconfigure games for the Wii. They rewrite a tiny bit of code and poof. Free cash. If they modified one of the games with Wiimote compatibility and sold it for ten bucks a pop, they would lose money. Not earn. You can go ahead and put your hopes back under the table.

Well of course it would cost more money than the original. The only thing is, since I have no knowledge of what that would require, I have no idea HOW much more. I wasn't really hoping, it was just something I thought would be cool.

Re: More Zelda on Wii

Just curious...does anyone know if the future zelda games will be released on the gamecube AND the wii? Or will they just start releasing the new games on the wii exclusively?

Unfortunately for you, you seem to be a minority. Have you given the Wii a shot, or are you just skeptical of it?

I'd hope they can get another Zelda game in. Since TP was released at the beginning of the Wii's lifespan (and was supposed to be a GC game... though they made such good use of the Wii's controls I never would've known ), we have a pretty good shot of seeing another Zelda for the Wii.

Re: More Zelda on Wii

I have tried the Wii. To be honest, it took me a long time just to get used to the controllers that had a rotating control . So, perhaps with time I could get used to the Wii .

Re: More Zelda on Wii

well your going to have to live with the Wii. the Gamecube has hung up its gaming gloves and gone home, to live with the NES, SNES, N64, Gameboy & Gameboy color in the "retired Nintendo console cottage".
That is unless your desperate for the old way of doing controls, then you could deffect to the X-box, or betray us all and go PS3, but that would just be stupid.
Stick with nintendo, they know everything, but if/when you leave us, Mario will come round to break your legs.

Ok i may have slipped in to my inner fanboy, just give me a moment to come out.
*Moment*
ahhh sanity again.
