Should N64 Zeldas come to the DS?

I personally think that they should come to the DS. THey would be like the Classic N64 series like the GBA had the classic NES series. Some of the weapons could be modified with touch control. They'd have to be very careful though, when working with classic games of this caliber.

hmm... at the most I think they should bring Majora's Mask to the DS since they never really remade it as many times as Ocarina of Time.

The only time it was re-released is when they had the Collectors Edition for Game Cube.

What would be the point? They already were re-released twice, on the Gamecube and Wii (MM will come eventually).

And I don't think those games are good for touch-screen. It was in Mario64DS, and it wasn't very usable because you'd have to completely abandon the buttons.

No. I'd much rather Nintendo focus on creating new Zelda games than continue to milk the franchise with multiple ports. Ocarina of Time has already been ported 3 times! Majora's Mask has only been ported once, but it will be on the VC for sure.

Phantom Hourglass is starting to look good. It would be nice to have another original DS Zelda after that. No more ports, please.

They already remade MM and OoT for the Gamecube a few years ago. Why go through all the trouble to remake them for the DS too? It would probably ruin the game to play it on a hand-held system anyway.

A remake of OoT and MM for the DS would be great, if you think about it, it would give you two of the best games in history in a portable device. On the other hand, they may ruin them too...so I guess it's better if they just kept them as they are, we all know we don't want to see those games ruined, at least not me.

I would've maybe said yes IF DS was a port-friendly machine like the PSP. Unfortunately Super Mario 64 DS prooved that the it really isn't suitable for 3D gameplay of the more complex kind.

While I think it would be cool, and I would defiantly buy them, I don't think it would be practical, as those games have been re-re-re-released many times.


But... the majority of me would love playing those games all hours of the night on my DS.

On the one hand, I would love to be able to play them on the go. But they'd probably ruin the experience. A little screen and no anologue stick, as well as tacked on touch screen controls would subtract from the fun of the games.

I wouldn't want to ruin them. But say for the bow you could aim with the touch screen, and also for any other aiming items. But I don't know. If there is any chance of ruining them then I say no.

If you have a wii and internet connection then why would you buy the classic zelda games on the ds?

portability. could be a VC download you put it on the memory card and put it in the ds. free for the people who already downloaded the games. works on both DS and WII. but it would be pretty hard to get it to work smothly with controls.

That would be a horrible Idea...and it would ruin the game there remaking...i'm tired of seeing remakes! I'm glad Nintendo gives Zelda a more reserved state unlike Mario who is on everydamn thing and annoys me with Mario this and Mario that......point made let Zelda be...only exception to that would be the originals 1 and 2

I agree with everything said about Super Mario 64 DS. I also think in SM64DS they changed the original game too much. I'll always try to find the most authentic version of a re-released game, that's why I like the Virtual Console.

No that would be dumb. I'm tired of all these ideas of recreating old games. They were made and were good if you want to play them buy the original it's good enough. Nintendo needs to focus on the future of the series not relive the past.

I would love to have OoT or MM on the go, but don't know how well it would work with limited buttons. Im sure there would be a suitable solution to all that though.
