Phantom Hourglass Japan Release Date

Legend of Zelda.com has reported that the release date for PH in Japan will be June 23, 2007.

In the latest edition of Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, it has been announced that the Legend of Zelda's first voyage on the DS, Phantom Hourglass, will hit Japanese stores on June 23th. Thats the month after next, for those of you playing at home.

But don't get too excited just yet! Because while it is awesome to see that this game is finally coming along, a worldwide launch akin to that which we saw with Twilight Princess is unlikely. In fact, it just isn't going to happen. So, unless you have an ebay account and an understanding of Japanese, you'll have to wait closer to Christmas.

See the Famitsu page here. LOZ.com states their sources under the article on their home page. Though, in their source Vooks, the release date is said to be June 29 for Japan (did LOZ.com make a typo?).

edit: Multiple other sources cite June 23 as PH's release date, so LOZ.com is most likely correct.

Ah well that is still earlier than I expected. And here I was thinking that Nintendo would put it off until at least mid-2008 or something like that.

WHAT!!!Christmas, that's a damn shame, I was hoping for it to come out in summer.
