I play them to keep my Zelda addiction at bay! I prefer the other line of the series, meaning the Triforce/Ganon/Master Sword games, but i guess it is nice to see it go in another direction. The only one that feels like a real Zelda game is the Minish Cap though, enjoyable as FSA is, it's just not the same.
Four Swords Adventures was alright. It was completely weird when I first played it because of the stage setting, but it wasn't to bad to me. The only thing is it felt like all the adventure was missing from the game.
I love 4 swords. Maybe not as much as the other ones, but if I need a break from the giant, intense Zelda games, I can go to that one for a bit. The GCN is super. ^_^ Sure, I'd like to see another one, but before that, I want to see Phantom Hourglass.
hmmm I spose they are all kinda fun but you can't exectly compare em to the mainstream zelda games... 4sa is the bomb for a multiplayer game if you can find some friends ready to play with gba's and cords - i did the worst thing you could do and did it all 1player first so i pissed my friends off in tht way.. kinda like ruining a good movie by spoiling the ending, when you already know where to go.
Voted; Like them, but prefer others. The games at itself were fun to play but if you see them in context of other LoZ I'd prefer the ones where you are walking Hyrule on your own instead of some of your homies.
I played them only because they were Zelda games at first but they got great! Single player is far too easy but when your playing with your mates its heaps fun and a good excuss to punch them in the arm. Hehe
I don't like them at all. I've played a dungeon of MC (if you count that as a FS game) and didn't like it as far as I'd played. Have FS on the same game boy cartridge as ALttP but it says I must have 4 players to play which is stupid! And I have FSA for gamecube and have only played into the second "world" and got very bored of it.
Basically none are very fun to me and despite their easiness (and that I can't play one of them) I just find them to boring to play. I voted I only play them because they're Zelda 'cause that's the reason I wanted to play them in the first place and the ONLY reason.
the four swords games are VERY entertaining. just cause they dont have the same feel as other zelda titles doesnt ean they cant be fun..tho ive yet to play four swords, but you know, fsa was good. and mc made me feel happy wen i played it. thats what games should do
The Four Swords games weren't made to compete with the single player games, but to add some variety to the franchise.
In my opinion, the Four Swords franchise has some incredible potential, but the two true FS games that have been released so far have failed to meet that potential. The original FS was too simplistic in its level progression, but the puzzles were excellent because they forced simultaneous play. FSA had much better level progression, but the puzzles were too simplistic because one player needed to be able to cope with the controls.
With online play, the developers have the means of properly realising the potential of multiplayer Zelda, and I will be excited to play more FS games in the future.
