Just an idea..

I was just wondering about something last night..

Now, if you decide to bombard me, just keep in mind that I'm not saying this should be how the new Zelda games should be. It's just a thought.

What if the new Zelda game was like a Final Fantasy type battle system?
Like, Link would develop new moves and learn new techniques with bombs, arrows, and his sword? And, for all purposes, fairies would be like Pheonix Downs and he could use red potion to regain health. As he fights, he gains magic power, and when the meter is full, he can do his "Overload" move, as in Final Fantasy, and he can get the bar up faster by drinking green potion. Available characters would range from Gorons to Zoras to Dekus, and Hylians, of course.

Thoughts?

Take my advice, go to a flame shelter now, cause some people probably will go crazy to a flaming abyss. (trust me, your not the first to suggest something like this.)

Link is a solo hero. Leave the parties to RPGs. New moves over time, we kinda have them (like orca-TWW, the blade brothers-TMC, and that skeleton dude-TP)

Too late, im here already. Ok first of all, NO. Don't even have such thoughts. You should go to jail for thinking of that. During battle phases, what fun would it be if you had to pick a certain thing and then click, to just attack something. It would be horrible. LoZ is about exploring the vast land that you must save, and to be moving around at will. I don't want to get into to big stuff, but just go to jail.

Don't worry I'm only kidding. But Final Fantasy style, not good.
