ZELDA Wii ANNOUNCED!! (Zelda: Seizor's Desire)

Built ground-up for the Wii, The Legend of Zelda: Seizor's Desire will take full advantage of the unique Wii remote. Nintendo has not said anything about the plot, but they have release concept art of Link as well as given us small tidbits about how this new Zelda will be played on the Wii.

Judging from the concept art, it is safe to say that Seizor's Desire will indeed use the same cell-shading techniques that The Wind Waker introduced. Though, Link seems to share the 'Link to the Past' style twist resulting in a artstyle that we'll leave you fanboys to debate about in the forums.

Furthermore, to explain the gameplay, it seems that Seizor's Desire will indeed take full advantage of the Wii remote-- I'm talking about 1:1 sword combat. The downside is the fact that there will be no targeting system in the sword fighting like in the last four 3D Zelda adventures. Eiji Aonuma (the man behind Majora's Mask, The Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and the upcoming Phantom Hourglass) stated "We feel that the lock-on system used in past games will only limit you in this new form of combat. Rest assured, this is a different kind of combat. This is a different kind of Zelda!"

Other than the 1:1 sword fighting, we cannot speak on any other gameplay issue covered in our talk with Aonuma (and Miyamoto). In all honesty, Nintendo was quiet, and there is nothing more to say.

I have mixed feeling about Link's new look (pink hair?), but I'm sure it will grow on me. I don't even care about that right now, I'm so hyped for 1:1 sword fighting! Oh my God! Waiting for screenshots is going to feel like forever! Oh. . . it's like old times waiting for TP news. . .

Damn! That was the URL though, I copied and pasted it.

I should have took a screenshot of it because now no one will believe me, but I did save the concept art of Link (I didn't save the logo art).

Maybe it is, but that was on IGN. Perhaps they didn't want to piss off viewers so they took it down?

Oh man, look at Link's arms! This is an April Fool's Joke. The Zelda team is probably working the most on Phantom Hourglass right now- we'll probably get Zelda Wii information after it is released.

Okay so I need to know for sure. Is this a joke or not? I sure hope it is some kind of sick joke because April Fools was yesterday.

Let's see... I searched IGN found no results... Gamespot... no... Google, Nintendo.com, Nintendo.de - nothing...

So yeah it's a joke.

It would be stunning news if it were true, BUT... there are a lot of things that cast doubts on this:

-IGN has removed the page
-It's the day after April 01
-Google yielded no results for "Seizor's Desire" (and I would not expect a name this early in development anyway)
-Aonuma stated that the next Wii Zelda would likely continue the realistic graphical style that TP started, while WW-style graphics would be used for hand-held games
-I would have expected the new Zelda to be revealed at an E3-type event

The title was awfully yucky-sounding.
Canon Zelda Games have titles that sound like wiping your butt with velvet. :3

Darn... I actually kind of like the style in that concept art now. I was hoping for something new.

I knew I couldn't have been the only one to see it.

Link looks somewhat like a baboon because of the arms. :S And the HAIR! If that thing was official I would quit Zelda for good and burn my consoles.

That's what I thought of too :XD

In the concept art his hair was blond like always.
