Link's Future sidekicks.

In the future who will be links new sidekick? will he have a sidekick? i personally think they should put midna in another zelda Because she's the one with the most pesonality

Also what if link didn't have a partner? who would give you tips? and who would yell at you to go save zelda?

history: he was killed by ganon many years ago and began lookin for ''the one'' (link) once he finds him left for dead by ganons minions. he heals link and helps him escape the odd building. and he helps u for the game. note: he was a swordsman so he helps u in battle

only link can see him cuz hes ''the one''. and he wants others to see him so he can say goodbye to his wife and kids who live in the woods

In my opinion, Link will have Midna (in a sense) or Navi as his partner. If it's Midna, she might contact him through a small piece of the Mirror of Twilight, which Link saves and keeps with him.

Either that or he might find Navi again, who recognizes his clothes, and knows who he is.

Why use Midna again when you create someone entirely new, refreshing and possibly better?

As for me, no more sidekicks please. It ruins the experience. Your sidekick gets more talk time and publicity than you as it is.

They need Link speaking like a real hero and it's finally time that Nintendo grow up and make Link speak.

I'd rather a sidekick that hasn't been used in a previous Zelda game.

I'd like to see a sidekick which blackmails you near the end of the game...
But anything will do fine for me.

As for me, no more sidekicks please. It ruins the experience. Your sidekick gets more talk time and publicity than you as it is.

Yes -- I noticed in TP that Midna spoke for Link all the time. When Midna says End Spolier// 'What, you find me so beautiful that you are speechless (or something similar) //End Spolier I was saying 'No -- I don't say anything. You spoke for me the entire game!'

But the sidekicks give the game some life and soul. It's always you, alone, apart from a talking hat or a fairy trying to help you in whatever way you can. I think that without their little comments on what you find in dungeons, especially, they would seem very devoid of life -- and Zelda may end up like Might and Magic, or a dozen other puzzle/adventure games. The sidekicks are that part of the magic.

I would love Midna back but I hate to say it I think we lost her forever! I DO NOT want another fairy they are just anoying some other creture not human nor fairy I think you guys know what I mean not a dark creature like Midna.

There has to be someone new surely? It might be an idea though to perhaps have several twists to the new sidekick's story. It would be cool to find the new character hurt or something at the start, I dunno but something slightly different.
I thought Midna was good though.

Link, in a sense, has two partners in my Zelda fanfic. I thought it'd be cool if besides having someone like Navi or Midna, he could also have an ally that was with him some of the time and somewhere else for the rest of the time. Like, someone who could fight monsters alongside him in some parts of the game. It could be a a male or female warrior (although in my story's case, it's a female hero, or heroine) or someone like that.

I think Link should have a partner that actually HELPS Link, not just give him vague, lame hints. I have in mind a person that actually walks along side Link like a person and helps him in battles. (which could be toggled on an off of course, in case he/she gets in the way. You could also play as the sidekick every once in a while if you like.) The person should also have a very interesting back story, like Midna, and should be an important character that you get attached to.

My idea:

Sidekick: Zana (ZAH-nuh)
Gender: Female
Weapon: Guan dao
Species: Gerudo
Background: Ganon's daughter. Her reasons for helping Link aren't fully known until the end of the game. However, clues are scattered everywhere in cutscenes and dialog throughout the game on her true intentions.
Uses: Gives hints and direction to your quest. She also aids in complicated magic spells that require too much magic, helps with heavy and hard to reach switches, some boss battles, and battles against most enemies.

Obviously, having someone tag around you all the time can get tiring, so you can toggle her presence on and off. (To make her disappearances practical, the explanation is that she uses her magic to transfer her body to a charm that Link wears around his neck.)

I agree 100%!!! It sucked how they made it to where Midna can't really come back because she was my 2nd favorite character (besides Ganondorf) ever! Hopefully they will make it to where the goddesses or Ganondorf or Zant make some new portal between the worlds and they are both in danger again (maybe a TP sequel).

Anyways we know his sidekick in PH is a fairy from the trailers and clips we've already seen. Hopefully in future Zelda games they will stop with the fairies and realize they are pointless and emotionless and make more creative sidekicks (like midna) that have a PURPOSE to the story and dont just add to it.

Perhaps also have one that fights WITH you and be like (just an idea) a hylean soldier/general that wants to help. Perhaps of another race like a Goron or Zora I don't know just brainstorming.

I really hope they have Tatl, Navi, or KORL. Midna was cool but she had to go back into the twilight. ;.;

I would personally love to see Midna stick around in another LoZ game. But then Twilight Princess would have more or less a "sequel", seeing how Midna is the Twilight Princess. But Midna is way better than a talking Boat or talking Hat.

Why not do what I said and have a sequel and somebody (goddesses, Ganondorf) make a way to connect the worlds again? I would rather that than struggle through another game with a fairy. (KORL was pretty cool)

Yeah Midna is, again, easily the best sidekick ever and would be near impossible to get a better one.

In a surprising twist it is you're sidekick who is the final and most difficult boss. That would be pretty cool.

How about some unknown person communicates with you through a stone or a randomly appearing hologram that is actually villian that is using you to beat Ganon or whomever in the conquest of Hyrule.

Link is too smart to trust an unknown person but.....he did trust midna just because she said she would get him out of his prison but who would say no to midna? why dosen't zelda just speak to you through holograms or talk to him in his head like the begining of a link to the past?

Hey, remember when I said Link has another partner in addition to Navi in my fanfic? Well, let me tell about her. She may interest you.

Name: Kelli
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Race: Hylian
Weapon: She wields a sword known as the Sun Sword. It's explained in the story. She also has a shield that goes with it. It's the Sun Shield, of course.
Appearance and Personality: The best way to describe Kelli's looks is that she is very pretty. She looks like she doesn't know a sword from an ax, but in reality, she's a mean keen fighting machine. She's a blue eyed blondie, however, her eyes are different shade of blue than Link's. Her eyes are more of a teal blue and Link's are more light to sky blue.

As for her personality, Kelli is kind and caring, but tends to be bossy and pessimistic at times. She can also be impatient. However, Kelli's bossy nature sometimes pays off. She often knows what she's doing when she tells Link to do something.

Uses: Kelli is probably the most useful person in the story other than Link. Even more useful than Navi. She's faster than Link is, which means she can outrun enemies that Link can't and that can be useful for destracting them while Link does other business. Kelli can also jump farther than Link can due to her speed, which means she can sometimes reach areas that Link cannot. All through out the times when Link and Kelli are working together, Kelli's speed becomes enssential.

In addition to speed, Kelli knows sword skills that Link doesn't. And they happen to be the same ones that are hidden skills in TP (no, I didn't steal them, I had these ideas before TP came out, I swear). It could explain where Link learned them if he's TP Link's skeleton mentor. Anyway, Kelli teaches Link what she knows, and because she isn't with him all the time, these skills become essential when she's absent from battle.

And finally, Kelli teaches Link a special song in which he can communicate with her long distance. It's so she can give him advice while she's not with him. Saria is still available for help too (except before Link completes the first dungeon), so don't worry about that.
