OoT Futurized?

I love the OoT but I would also love to see it made for time in today's world. Put TP graphics in, add the Light Temple, and add some side quests and other little things. I mean it is not a big deal but it would be great especially with TP graphics.

What's your thoughts?

Re: OoT Futurized?

No, just no. How about that they put there energy in the new Zelda, in which they put all of your ideas. Wouldn't you rather play a complete new Zelda instead of an old one you already played who knows how many times. Your ideas though there is nothing wrong with them would add about 15 minutes to the game. Which is in no means worth the immense amount of time it will take to make the graphical upgrade.

Yes you are right, I would rather see a new Zelda but I still wish OoT had the graphics of TP.

Re: OoT Futurized?

What's wrong with letting old games rest? OoT had its time of glory, and it's still considered to be one of the best games out there. How about just leaving it at that and move on? Instead of wishing for an old game to get a face-lift, how about looking forward to new games in the franchise?

I posted that above! I would rather see new games. It was just a thought you know. Popped in to my head and wanted to see other peoples thoughts.

Ocarina of Time doesn't need to be remade, I like it the way it is. I think Nintendo should focus all their efforts on making new Zelda games. A remake would be a waste.

Re: OoT Futurized?

Nah. There's MQ and it's on the Virtual Console. They should let the classic rest in peace

Instead they should focus on developing the real "ultimate Zelda game" that TP somehow failed to deliver. They should focus on fixinf the flaws of the latter, adding difficulty, tons of sidequests and improving everything. If it gets released somewhere in 2009/2010, I think Nintendo would be able to do it

Re: OoT Futurized?

Why would you want a modern day OoT let alone modern day zelda?! Would you really like Link to replace the master sword with the fabled Golden Gun and have Epona replaced by a talking Tank or something? The idea that Gannondorf is a crazy pseudo-stalin hoping to bring commuinism to hyrule?

Re: OoT Futurized?

No. Ocarina of Time is my favorite game, but I don't want it remade. Ocarina of Time is looking and playing quite well after all these years, so I find no reason to remake it. I'd much rather Nintendo work on new titles than continue to milk past successes.

He was talking about "futurizing" the graphics, not the game itself.

I hope they do remake OoT.

Re: OoT Futurized?

I liked OoT it was a good game. But since I have already played it through multiple times and own it I wouldn't buy a new one just for graphics and new junk it doesnt need.

Re: OoT Futurized?

No, OOT shouldn't be remade. It's a classic and it should stay like that, although I wouldn't mind them releasing the original (with the chanting Fire Temple music and the blood).

100% agree. Nothing wrong with your ideas, but they wouldn't add much to the game and it almost be a waste. So yea, save the energy on a new game.

Re: OoT Futurized?

Oh man. Here we go with the OOT stuff. No offense, but they've been milking that game for almost a decade. Let it rest in peace, we're wrecking a classic. Instead, they should spend a few years on a Zelda so good we can finally admit Ocarina of Time isn't STILL, nine years later, the only important thing in gaming ever. All my ranting aside, it wasn't a totally horrible idea. I still vote no.

Re: OoT Futurized?

I voted yes, but for different reasons. I personally loved OoT and it i my favourite game of all time, however, i don't particularly want a remake. However, if they did produce a remake, maybe the reigns by which nintendo seem to be restrained by, maybe lifted. At the moment everyone wants games following the OoT trend. If a remake was made, then the OoT fanboys would be satisfied and nintendo would be able to produce a game to the best of their ability rather than being restrained by the fact that the fans want a game resembling OoT!
